Interesting to note that the Filipiniana offers catering in the kamayan style (simply put, a spread of various dishes over banana leaves to be shared by multiple people amd eaten with hands). For those worried about spice levels, everything listed as "spicy" is quite mild overall. The drinks were AMAZING. They would have gotten 5 stars just for those. The Siargao Summer truly tastes like a tropical summer in a cup. Then our food came, and the flavors were all off the charts. The BBQ Liempo had that perfect balance of sweet and savory, and was grilled to perfection. The mochi-fried chicken was crispy and was delicious with the adobo glaze. We found ourselves wishing they could just sell bottles of the tamarind-garlic aioli. The vegan dumplings were also a great take on chili oil wontons. All in all, we're bummed Lucky Tigre doesn't have a West Coast outpost, because the flavors are truly incredible! We're happy we at least got the chance to swing by, and hope we'll get the chance again in the future.

I was excited by the great reviews on Yelp -- and was so happy that this place lived up to the hype! The fish was excellent -- fresh, well cut, super tasty. The toro was rich and delicious, the salmon and snapper fresh and pure, and as noted by others, the seasoned sushi rice with the accoutrements in the bowl (seaweed salad, thinly sliced pickled radish and carrot, and masago) made for an elevated lunch. I really appreciated the flexibility and options around my celiac disease (sushi can be tough because of the wheat in most soy sauce) -- including the kind note they attached saying the subbed some extra toro and masago for the Iburi which had been marinated in soy sauce. Lastly, I usually much prefer to eat-in for sushi (a sushi bar is my 2nd home), but really appreciate the details they put into the Uber Eats takeout package -- dressed it nice with shiso leaf and shaved radish AND have it all placed on little ice packs to keep the fish cold on their commute from the Chef's Knife to my belly. We also tried their soup, dumplings, steamed chicken dumplings, pickled vegetable side, pork bun, and shrimp and pork bun. I can't eat the buns since I don't eat pork, but everything else was amazing. One of my sons did end up choosing a chocolate croissant so I tried a little and it was very good as well. This isn't your grocery store croissant. It was buttery and flaky with a good amount of chocolate. Inside is filled with eclectic decor, and you can purchase the art on the wall. Everyone who worked here was very friendly. They have a small parking lot out front, but this place isn't around a ton of other things so I would assume parking is no problem. People working there are super nice and it's a plus that they have plenty of parking.
