This restaurant is decorated very nicely. I ordered the steamed BBQ pork buns. I ate half of a bun and noticed an ammonia smell so I didn't eat the rest. The juicy pork and shrimp dumplings were delicious as was the pork fried rice, and the frosted matcha. Service was good, not speedy, but good. Gave a 4 rating for the BBQ pork buns unusual scent.

Solid Vietnamese restaurant in New Tampa/Wesley Chapel area. Their portions are huge! I've had the bun bo hue, bo kho, bun rieu, and dim sum here. All the noodle soups are really flavorful. The dim sum is a nice option but pricey for the size. They also have boba and other dessert drinks. I like the green Thai tea! Service is fine as this is a casual spot. I'm curious to try the banh mi next time

I ordered out twice now. First time we had pho and gyoza, second time pork fried rice and pad Thai. Food was good, and the person who was at the cashier was nice. I haven been dining in amd can't say anything about the service otherwise, but we had a good experience with the takeout. It's a medium sized place and has a cute was for pictures. Definitely a casual and kids friendly place.

Not the best pho I've had but I appreciate the variety on the menu and the rice platter special was soo good! Especially because I was able to switch out the main protein of a grilled pork chop with grilled chicken. This is a massive portion of simple ingredients: diverse protein, vegetables, plain white rice, an egg, and crispy bits on top of the chicken. If you need simple and delicious food safe for a sensitive stomach, I completely recommend this dish. I also appreciate they have a small version of pho (a kids pho) with a choice of protein and no vegetables. This helps you get that noodle soup kick out of the way too!

I've visited Ha Long Bay several times now and felt it was time to share my full experience. I typically come for the Pho, as the broth is incredibly flavorful, and the shrimp is always cooked perfectly--never overdone or tough, which has been a common issue for me at other places. I usually order the egg rolls for my little one, and he loves them. I also treat myself to the fresh rolls, which are consistently delicious. Their Thai tea is excellent as well. I don't have many complaints, but when the restaurant gets busy, the service does slow down a bit. I understand it's a family-owned business, but having an extra set of hands during peak times could really help. Despite that, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot overall.

We came here on a Tuesday noon and the restaurant was not busy. I had my rice with grill pork chop and fried egg and my wife had Bun Bo Hue, mom had Bun Rieu. The food is 7.75 / 10 . We will come back next time we in Tampa. Thank you.

A friend recommended this spot for good Pho. I tried a few things and everything was good! We had some hot sake shots, beef pho, beef Pad Thai and the egg rolls. My favorite are the Egg Rolls and the sauce! Order the 5 count, 2 is not enough. The Pad Thai would be something I order again. Plenty of seating but was pretty cold inside. Clean, quiet and would recommend.

Came back on a Friday night and this time wanted to eat here to try it out, rather than my first time which was a to go. Got a table right away, and our server was nice. Ordered two apps - summer rolls and Krab rangoon. My summer rolls were the better of the two and I would come back for them. I do wish they were bigger like I use to get at Sweet Tea in Lutz, but they closed. They were very good though and I liked their sauce. Krab rangoon, my husband said weren't filled too much, & super fried where the grease was dripping. I tried one and nah that's not a repeat. We both ordered pad thai. I know weird, why it's a Vietnamese place. But that's ok. It was good. It did take a while, but I appreciate that they took the time to let us know what the hold up was. It took a really long time actually. Pad thai was very good. I had shrimp and my husband had chicken. Forgot to take a pic bc it was delayed for quite some time but ate it up so we were satisfied. Ambiance has changed a lot since before it was two different Thai restaurants. Decor is nice in front and cluttered in back by the restrooms. Owner is nice and sweet and asked how everything was. This place was pretty happening on a Friday which is great for them. I'd definitely come visit again, & get the summer rolls, & when it's winter, get their pho and other Vietnamese soups. They offer Vietnamese food - noodles, pho, summer rolls, bao buns, banh mi sandwiches, pad Thai and lo mein noodles just to name some of their options. They also have boba drinks. Some do appear like it's powder. They no longer have sushi and poke so keep that in mind if you are looking for they and see it in the prior pics.

Just an update on this restaurant! We have been back a few more times and the service is much better. Ambiance is nice and clean. My husband loves the Pho and I love the poke bowl( salad) and the egg rolls are outstanding. Highly recommended!

Compare to their original Ha Long Bay in Pinellas, this restaurant is two notch down. The flag ship store in Pinellas is much better than this location. We have the boba flavor milk tea ube taro. But I think it is not to good standard. Our main dish is the Halong Bay special. It has the rice, grilled pork chop, grilled shrimp, shredded pork, egg cake and many more. But this dish compare to Bay Area standard is not really measure up. We also got the seafood pan fried noodle. I think is to American like sauce. Not authentic. Overall service just ok.

Unfortunately, the ice cream tasted stale and freezer-burned, so Id skip the ice cream scoop They do have a huge variety on the menu, so I may come back and try a few different dishes next time.

I added a fried egg on top since that's my favorite addition to eat with banh mis in general. The bread was cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they were generous with their portions of pork and veggies. The service was great, Delane my waitress took my order and checked in on me at the right intervals of time to see if I needed anything. The manager "chino Jay" also warmly greeted me and made me feel welcome. I requested some extra "beef tendon" for my Pho and he quickly responded to fulfill my request. Speaking of PHO: The pho was excellent -- rich, clear broth with plenty of tender beef, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and that perfect balance of savory and brightness. Exactly what you want in a big bowl of pho. The grilled short ribs plate was another standout. Beautifully charred, flavorful meat served with a fried egg, yellow rice, fresh cucumber, tomato, pickled veggies, and a solid dipping sauce. Everything on the plate worked together. The bánh mì was fresh and well-built -- crisp baguette, good filling, plenty of pickled carrot/daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. No sogginess, just solid execution. They even got the Vietnamese iced coffee right -- strong, sweet, and properly iced in a big glass mug. Portions are generous, the food tastes authentic, and the place feels clean and welcoming. If there is a charge, restaurants usually let you know beforehand, and it is typically around $1 to $2 per cup. At this restaurant, no one clarified that there would be a charge, yet we were charged $5.50 per cup, while their actual drinks cost only $6. If we had known, we would have just ordered actual drinks instead. It is not about the amount of money. It is about transparency and honesty with customers. As for the food, it was overpriced and lacked flavor. I ordered their special Vietnamese udon (bánh canh đặc biệt), but they had the audacity to serve me Japanese udon. That is not bánh canh. Vietnamese bánh canh and Japanese udon are completely different in taste, texture, and preparation, so this was especially disappointing and felt disrespectful to a traditional Vietnamese dish. We also tried their "most popular" dish, mackerel snd fish cake noodle soup (bún cá thu chả cá), and unfortunately, it was completely bland and lacked flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Between the disappointing, overpriced food and the lack of transparency regarding the charges, the experience left a very bad impression.

I visited twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and found that the selection was pretty much exactly the same both times, The pho is only on weekends, dry noodles and meat are pre-portioned into bowls, and the broth wasn't hot enough to properly warm the meat or soften the noodles, leaving them on the dry side instead of tender...I couldn't finish my bowl The bánh xèo was nice and crispy but quite oily and only had 1-2 pieces of shrimp. Some dishes were flavorful and fresh, while others seemed like they had been sitting out for a while and weren't kept hot enough. The standout dishes for me were the rice congee, bánh cuốn, chicken wings, and the caramelized fish. Those were well done and the reason I'd consider coming back. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were attentive. Overall, it's worth trying at least once if you're curious about a Vietnamese buffet, but compared to many of the excellent Vietnamese restaurants in the Tampa Bay area, I still prefer ordering freshly made dishes over the buffet. I live in Miami where there isn't much Vietnamese food but my parents moved to Pinellas Park only a few minutes away from this restaurant so I was super excited to visit and go with them! Vietnamese buffets are not a common business model, and from other types of buffets you know that sometimes the quality can suffer, but Quan Ngon strikes a great balance between quality but also diverse options from many subtypes of Vietnamese cuisine. I won't be able to go into everything I tried (that would be a novel) but I will hit some of the highlights: - Grilled pork with broken rice: pork was marinated well, savory and sweet with a nice chargrilled taste, great with the rice + eggs + scallion oil or even by itself - Curry chicken: tastes very similar to how I remember my family does it, light but a bit creamy and with tender chicken and potatoes - Braised clay pot fish (but it's buffet style so served in a warming tray): savory, a bit sweet, tender fish that goes well with rice to soak up all the sauce - Fish sauce wings: not a super traditional dish but it's popping up all over modern Vietnamese restaurants now, slightly crisp outside juicy inside with a delicious savory sweet just salty enough glaze - Dessert (Che) bar: I'm not a huge fan of Vietnamese desserts, but I have to admit their row of Vietnamese desserts are well cooked, and sweet but not too sweet (also approved by my Vietnamese parents so you know it's legit!) For the price, the Quan Ngon Bistro buffet is more than worth it; for not too much above the price of a single entree at most other restaurants, you get to try a generous array of well made dishes. Whether you are native Vietnamese or trying Vietnamese cuisine for the first time, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!
