This is a long-overdue review for a place that has been a staple in our lives for over a decade. Our family has been with Tutor Time of Stevenson Ranch for 12 years, starting with the infant program for all three of our kids. For working parents, finding reliable, loving care is everything, and Tutor Time has consistently delivered. The teachers are simply wonderful and treat the children like their own. I cannot believe how poorly not only the director of the school Celina Diaz treated us but the front desk lady was horrible as well. While she was on a tour with a parent she singled me out and said "Hi Mrs. Washington don't forget to pay tuition, remind you my daughter was only enrolled for a week ! it was very condescending and rude. Now from the jump I should have went with my tuition and never enrolled my daughter here being the director Celina Diaz was rude from the jump. I got a call letting me know someone in my daughters class caught covid. I was told she would need to get tested Friday - Sunday which was fine. I then get a call saying my daughter had thrown up while playing on the play ground. When I got to the school to pick her up her nose was running all the way down to her mouth and was not being attended to. I felt disgusted because as an adult how do you not clean a child's face who is clearly not feeling well. These people take care of infants who cannot fend for themselves are left unattended with this horrible staff I hope they would at least have the Comen courtesy to wipe these children's face if needed !!! as and adult if you do not let your snot get into your mouth why in the world would you be okay with it happening to a toddler !! I have pictures I will insert of how my daughter looked when picked up. I then asked Celina how are you guys taking the proper procedures of making sure our children are being protected against covid. She then responds and says we take temperatures ! and says " WE DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR MASKS!!!! if you are working with children who cannot get vaccinated why in the world would you think it is okay too not keep a face covering on your face. When I called the public of health and better business bureau they did inform me schools working with children under the age of 5 MUST WEAR A MASK ! read more

It makes me sad to write this but I really don't feel like this place cares about your kids. My daughter is severely allergic to eggs and I spoke with Celina (the director) multiple times about this and about whether the staff is trained to deal with allergies. She assured me they are and they can handle it. After all, they advertise that they know how to deal with children's allergies. Well I signed my daughter up and paid the registration fee. I asked to see the food menu for the week so that we could make sure my daughter doesn't get anything containing eggs. Celina write back saying she could have these meals, totally disregarding the fact that waffles contain eggs. When asked about it she emailed back saying it should be fine they're frozen waffles. Ummm do you want to make sure? I mean she has a severe allergy. After "checking" again she said oh yah actually they have eggs. What the hell?! Did you check or did you not check initially? So if I never asked you would have given that to my daughter and she could have died?! I just feel like Celina didn't take me seriously until my husband (who is a doctor) sent her an email about my daughter's allergy and about her possibly needing an epi pen in emergency situations. Then the next morning Celina calls me and literally says "oh we didn't know her allergy is this severe and that she may need and epi pen" - have you listened to anything I told you?! I'm just appalled. And she wanted to postpone my daughter's start date until my husband can come in and train all the staff on how to use an epi pen. Just shocking. You should not need special training on how to use an epi pen if your staff is CPR trained AND your daycare ADVERTISES that you know how to handle allergies. I decided to take my daughter to another daycare. I can't risk her life with people who obviously don't care. read more

If I could just review the teachers and the classroom experience this would be a 5 star review. However, the experience with the Director has not been stellar and we're excited to LEAVE because of her, we never felt welcomed and understand if certain families aren't a person's favorite, but we were made to feel "not the favorite" from infants to Pre-K on a regular basis. If you're the "norm" and have a 9-5 job and aren't struggling to pay sometimes for daycare, you're part of the good people and well taken care of, we're part of the lower class families and weren't treated like we mattered and we only stayed because we had no other option. It was better when they have less kids. Now it's a madhouse. Horrible management- hungry money. Some teachers are okay. High turnover. they have a waitlist, and they treat existing parents and kids as disposable.. Do yourself and your kids a favor by taking them somewhere else. We had enough and decided to take our kids to Sunshine. Wish we have taken them there long time ago, they are so much happier. We finally feel like our kids are learning, and they are much better managed over there. read more

I love all the staff here . They are great with communication and really keep all the kids in a tight schedule. They provide some many activities where my kids are almost mad they can't stay longer when I pick them up. They are really like family now. Definitely 5 stars ! read more

OMG!! I cannot say enough about this place. It has been amazing. We had Miss Daniela in the two's room. She has been there for a really long time. That's the first good sign. You know the company treats their employees well and that she loves her job. And you want someone like that watching your children. She has so much energy and is so sweet to the kids. My daughter had never been to daycare and only went twice a week so it took a lot of getting used to for her. Miss Daniela was so patient with her. Gave her the attention and care she needed to acclimate to the new surroundings. I would watch her pick up my daughter every time she cried when she felt scared during the beginning. It was so nice and calming to see. I never stressed once while she was there. The playground is super cute and shaded. They have sooo many activities they do weekly. They have cute decorations that they change frequently, so every time you walk in, there's something fun to look at and talk about with your child. Food and diapers are included in the price!! It made it so easy to just show up with my daughter. The director is super approachable. The doors are always locked. They assisted her in potty training, even when she had sooo many accidents. this review is long due since my son doesnt go to Tutor time Stevenson Ranch anymore. Although the director was friendly and pleasant. my complaint is mainly for the nasty smell you get when you enter the school, my son was sick all the time while he was attending tutor time, hygiene is lacking in school, plus letting visibly sick kids be there just because they dont want to upset parents (who send their kids to school while sick!). lack of staffing which meant joining 3 age groups together at most times where three and four yr olds were there with older kids and learning behaviors and bad words. now my daughter is at preschool age, and although very convenient to have her there for distance, i decided to look else where. read more

This is an overdue review. Back in March 2021 I was desperate to find a location for my son because LA USD still was not back in session. Parents of children under five no the frustrations that come with not just child care but trustworthy reliable and affordable childcare. I found this location through my works connections to the Bright horizons system and I took my son there to check it out. In March they really weren't allowing for tours but I was able to meet the center director and ask questions. Upon leaving the location I was under the impression that if I'd like to move forward or have a trial for my child to see if it was a good fit that I could call and set that up. I called three days later to set up a five day trial for my son and all in all I was given the runaround I was never given an application even though I asked for one twice and when I sent an email basically asking if my child was even welcomed there; because I was not getting a clear answer on how to move forward, I was basically gaslit into thinking that I must've completely misunderstood the actions of those in the position of decision making. As an educator myself I have very high expectations for schools and Tutor Time in Stevenson Ranch has exceeded all of them. It brightens my day when I open the app to see pictures of my 2 year old daughter playing or even to see what she had for lunch. I feel safe bringing her there and I know she's in qualified and experienced hands. I've had wonderful interactions with all the teachers but Ms. Cathy has gone above and beyond for us. My oldest started here 13 years ago and every one there is like family. My son was very well taken care of and learned a lot to get him ready for kindergarten. Now my 4 y/o goes there and is loving it. Just like when we started 13 years ago. All the teachers there treats every child as if they're own. We recently moved to Stevenson Ranch and chose Tutor Time mainly because of the reviews we read here on Yelp. We have not been disappointed. Our son (2 years old) loves his teachers. I really appreciate the extra activities they offer to help mix up their day (soccer, cooking, Spanish, art, yoga...). The daily communication through the app is wonderful. Our two children (3 and 18 months) both attend Tutor Time. Our son started in the Toddler Room at 17 months. He immediately bonded with Ms. Daniela, who was always warm and nurturing, and made a point to really get to know each child individually. He didn't stay long in the Twos Room, as he potty-trained early and then joined the Early Pre-K class with Miss Andrea (who now teaches Kindergarten). My son absolutely adored Miss Andrea. She always knew how to make him smile, and she seemed attentive to his specific needs, personality, and temperament. Our son is now in the Pre-School Room with Miss Vivian and Miss Darla. He hasn't been there long, but we have already noticed a shifting focus toward learning activities (letters, numbers, reading, counting) that are helping him prepare for school. We also like that Tutor Time offers additional weekly clubs and classes like Spanish, yoga, cooking, gardening, etc. Our son does yoga and gardening, and really enjoys them. Our daughter started in the Infant Room at only 3 months old. I was very nervous (she wasn't taking a bottle!), but Miss Kristen, Miss Cathy, and Miss Preet were amazing with her and very quickly put me at ease. She could not have been in better hands. She is now in the Toddler Room with Miss Jessica and Miss Noemi and she is having a great time. Sometimes the classrooms can get a bit chaotic, and at times the class sizes are bigger than I would like, but overall we have no complaints. The director, Miss Celina, is easily accessible, kind and courteous, and always available to answer questions and address concerns. Our kids are happy and well-adjusted, and excited to go to "school" every day. We would absolutely recommend this Tutor Time to others. read more

I checked out several daycare programs throughout the Valencia and Santa Clarita area. Once I met with the director Ms. Rosemary and had a tour of the facility, I knew it was the right place for my daughter who was 17 months when enrolled. She loves going to "school" and loves the entire faculty; even the teachers that aren't in her classroom greet her with a smile and take the time to get to know her. I myself love the entire team as well! They provide a clean and safe environment, actually have a weekly curriculum they follow, and provide nutritious meals. I also like the fact that art is included on a regular basis as it is just as important as learning in our home. They take the time to call you if you should know something before you pick up your child and don't mind how many times you call to check on your beloved one! If you are having a hard time deciding on a daycare, I strongly recommend setting up a tour of this Tutor Time. Two of my kids have been attending this Tutor Time location. I am impressed with and appreciate the upper management (exec director, senior teachers) and their attention to details and care for the business of their business. My only concern is for the teachers, who often seem frazzled or overwhelmed. I know that the school is working to lower their teacher-student ratios to a more manageable level. But, as for now, I've just seen teachers look dazed in chaotic classrooms. That being said, my kids have had great teachers in the past year (though the two year old classroom seemed to have a revolving door until a few months ago.) The teachers are so loving and caring and truly do prioritize all the children's needs and---most importantly---their safety. When either of my children were injured during a class day, their teacher was thorough with the incident report she completed and with the information she provided to my wife and me so we could take the appropriate next steps with medical follow up (which, in one case, required stitches.) All in all, this is a pretty good Tutor Time location and school. I think that once the teacher-student ratio is lowered to a more manageable level, the teachers will have more peace of mind and, as importantly, the children will feel attended to personally and individually. read more

We had to pull our daughter out because Tutor Time in Stevenson Ranch is a very poor daycare facility in all areas..terrible management, overwhelmed teachers, disorganized and chaotic rooms, dirty and stinky facility, the list goes on. Give other places a try instead. read more

My child has been going to Tutor Time since infancy, and she's now four years old. It's a big deal to entrust others to take care of your child while you're working all day. Here, we have peace of mind and no guilt. In fact, after a long weekend, our child asks us "when can I go back to school?" The teachers are patient, nurturing, and creative with their lesson plans. They were so helpful in getting my son fully potty trained and in working through any issues we may be going through. This school has been such a blessing to our family. Every single member of their team are friendly and passionate about what they are doing. My daughter attended Tutor Time for early preschool and Pre-K. She learned so much that prepared her for Kindergarten. They offer parents night out about once a month, which truly was amazing not only for the parents to be able to have some kid free time in the evening but also allowing the kids to spend more time with their friends and become more independent. My 3-year old daughter has been going to TutorTime in Stevenson Ranch for a little over 2 years now. She is now in the Preschool class. After having done tons of my own research, my husband and I decided on TutorTime. It was good until they have more kids this past month. Now it's a zoo/ madhouse! Messy room and some teachers just looked grumpy. This teacher was only friendly to some parents. Made me think they have some favoritism going on in the room. I've walked in on this several times where some teachers just ignored the poor kid crying next to the fridge wanting a drink. Perhaps they are too busy, then they should have added more teachers. Considering how much they charge parents weekly, they should be able to add more teachers. Tutor time is the most expensive compared to other daycares in the area. I will be looking elsewhere due to their current condition. And what picture?! Sometime I don't see any photos in the app for 3 weeks. They hardly post any pictures and now with more kids, I haven't seen any pictures the past month. read more

I'm a 43 year old father of a 4 year old. I am set in my ways and expectations; I want and expect the best for my daughter. I also expect the best from those who take care of her while my wife and I are at work. This facility excels in care and nurturing under the management of Mrs. Rosemary Kober. Children are children; issues are guaranteed to arise either great or small. Any issues my daughter has had over the last 4 years has been dealt with honestly, professionally, lovingly and with the well being of my child foremost in mind. The costs are hard to beat without risking giving up security, cleanliness, child to teacher ratio and such. My daughter loves the warm meals cooked by Mrs. TeeTah the school nutritionist. My wife and I have had to replicate a few "TeeTah" meals to satisfy her on the weekends. Our child has made every teacher a dinner time conversation at least once. She loves them all. Recently, I came to pick her up early to go to the park; she insisted that she stay until her teacher was done teaching them for the day. I have had my now two year old son here since he was a year and a half. I have had some ups and downs, the beginning was a little ruff. I felt like my son wasn't getting the care that he needed ( I mean you they can't take care of him like his mother). I felt like I was always asking them to do the same thing over and over again and they would do it once and the next day it would be the same issue. However, as time passed they did try and work with me and my many concerns and my son ended up having a favorite teacher ( which I approved of as well) Miss Daniella. And I did start to enjoy all the learning he was doing there, creating little pieces of art and what not. He is now in a new class and I have yet to make my review on that. Also, I want to note that my child has gotten so many illnesses since being here; foot and mouth, croup, roseola, and a number of viral lung infections. I mean I know that kids are dirty but maybe the school and try and sterilize a little better. As of right now, I am satisfied with the school and have been able to work with them for all of my concerns. I do plan to write another review, I'm hoping it will be nothing but positive! read more

We searched exhaustively for a place that we felt was clean and paid very close attention to our child. Tutor time in Stevenson ranch, under the careful watch of Ms. Rosemary, hit the mark spot on. We enrolled our child there at the age of 14 months and haven't had a moment of unhappiness since, and our child is now 5 years old and about to go to kindergarten. The pros: --the front door is secured by fingerprint and number code, and Ms. Rosemary the director sits with her office directly facing the door so she can see everyone coming in and out...and say hi with an awesomely friendly wave! --there is a structured learning environment. they have lesson plans and for the older kids (4-5) "homework" --there are several playgrounds, and they are made to be safe, unlike what I saw in some other childcare centers where there was no cushioning under the playsets..I mean really??? --food is served as a part of the tuition (B,L and multiple snacks) and the kids are well fed. no outside food is allowed which is great for kids with food sensitivities. --the summer program is separate from the school year program, so kids feel like they are in a cool summer camp. --the teachers are wonderful... kind, patient and I never get the heebie-jeebies from any of them. --this is not a franchised out tutor time (unlike some other tutortimes we looked at) so it is monitored super carefully. --Most importantly, when I drop my child off there I feel comfortable knowing she's safe. There's no wondering if something is going to happen to her because everything is so well orchestrated and kids are monitored so well. Classrooms are not overcrowded. --almost forgot (its been so long) but they basically potty trained my child in 2 days. yeah. I know. awesome. It was a bit of a drive for us to drop her off (15 min or so) but the piece of mind is worth anything (obviously). As a doctor I have incredibly high standards for how things are done and how my child was cared for, and this Tutor Time definitely met those expectations.
