I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I paid $170 for a custom birthday cake, and the order was taken directly by the store manager. We clearly agreed that the cake would match a reference photo, including specific colors and Spiderman eye decorations. The manager reviewed the image with me and allowed me to take a photo of her phone showing the exact design we agreed upon. When my husband arrived to pick up the cake--after the promised pickup time--the cake was brought out, but the manager quickly asked for it to be returned to the kitchen because it was not ready. At that point, it was clear the cake was also missing the agreed‑upon decorations. I spoke directly with the manager, who then denied ever agreeing to include the Spiderman eyes, despite having reviewed and approved the design earlier. Most concerning, my husband later observed the manager alter the photo on her phone, removing the decorations we had discussed. Additional requested decorations were also not put on the cake. It has now been weeks, and no one has followed up, despite being told the owner would contact me. For the price and the importance of the occasion, this level of disorganization, lack of accountability, and dishonesty is unacceptable. I expected professionalism, transparency, and follow‑through--and received none. read more

If I could give this place 1 star, I would. The service is terrible, they are always gossiping behind the counter or on their phones and not paying attention. I was waiting to be attended as the only customer for 5 minutes. I had to say "Hello! Hello!" for them to look up and attend me. When they finally did, they had a horrible attitude and left me waiting with cash in hand for 3 minutes while they did my order. And to top it off, my cake was stale and dry AND IT HAD A HAIR IN IT. Frida, 10:30am, 07/31/2026, worse coffee Ive ever had. The employees behavior was not anywhere near welcoming, and facial expressions can speak very loudly. It was my first time coming in, and it looked really nice on social media but it is no where near what I expected In terms of food and drink quality. They do have nice decoration but whats the point of sitting somewhere that looks nice but tastes horrible. I first had this cheesecake years ago at a barbecue and I remember being really impressed by it but I didn't know which bakery it came from as I am not from the South Shore. Well this year my family surprised me with it for my birthday and it was just as good as I remembered. Dare I say this might be the best cheesecake I've had in NY? I do like a lot of other places as well but Sugarberry just knocks them out of the water. I've never physically been to Sugarberry but would love to go one day. My family also brought me a tsoureki from there and it was also very fresh and delicious! Will definitely stop by there one day to try more! read more

We came here on a weekend after the Yelp Social Club event for some sweets afterwards. When we arrived in the bakery, we discovered that this was a small business bakery. Service was ok. There were only two people working behind the counter. There were a lot of Greek pastries and desserts. I ordered the Kataifi, Baklava, and Galactoboureko. The ambiance of the place indicated that it is owned by Greeks just by the products imported and desserts being sold. The place also offered free water for guests. When I received my orders, they felt massive. Portions were generous because it took us three days to finish everything. In hindsight, I definitely got my money's worth. read more

When you walk in, it is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I decided to purchase a slice of strawberry short cake. When I got home the cake looked good strawberries and whip cream was good but the cake is a little bland. The cake is not dry it's fluffy, but it's missing an ingredient. read more

I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when my fellow work from home colleagues ordered door dash for me on my birthday! It was so sinfully delicious and I enjoyed every morsel! My daughter's visited this location 11/1/25 and was having an iced coffee. As she is sipping her beverage she notices a bug in her drink. I have filled a complaint with the county. One of my daughters that happens to be there is a elementary school teacher in the neighborhood and definitely will be advising her peers and parents to not visit this establishment. The daughter that happened to is a high school student in the neighborhood and as well will advocate to her fellow classmates not to visit. One of my family members lives close to Sugarberry and is often here, so she decided to bring red velvet cupcakes from here for Thanksgiving. They were packaged great, and neatly. Upon first glance, there was a lot of icing (which I appreciated because I am an icing person). Biting into the icing (cream cheese), it was very good and rich and was my favorite part of the cupcake. I bit into the cake itself and it was a little dry. It was a bit disappointing because the container was sealed shut and my family member was very excited about these cupcakes. Biting into the cupcake and the icing together helped the dryness. I wouldn't mind trying here again just to draw any conclusions. I would buy a tub of the icing though!! read more

This bakery has very good cakes and has seating to have a hot or cold beverage and dessert but unfortunately the music level is a bit elevated and when asked if it can be lowered even slightly the staff informs you that it is set at this level and the owner does not permit for it to be changed. Also although the temperature outside was in the 40's the air conditioner was intermittently on and also could not be changed when asked. read more

I struggled with the rating on this one. I almost gave it 2 stars, but they have the best red velvet cake I've ever had. The ambiance is fantastic, love the look of this shop. The desserts look great and there was thought behind placement and the look of the desserts. The service is good. However, this is the second time in a year or two that I've found hair in my dessert. As much as all of the above is great, hair in food is gross. Someone back there needs to figure it out. I've never experienced this at another bakery. I gave them a pass the first time, it was in the Sugarberry dessert (napolean). The second time it's under the Portokalopita. Come on... not sure if I can go back. Pretty turned off. read more

Stopped by the Sugarberry Cafe and it was wonderful! They have lots of outdoor and indoor seating. It's such a cute walk to the cafe. Staff was super friendly and can recommend things because they have so many options. I got the Oreo cheesecake and I would recommend it! 8/10! Their deserts are amazing. The coffee was better when they first opened. I ordered a cake for my mom's birthday as she loves the cannoli cake from suga berry. When I called to order I explained what I wanted and that it would be for about 8 people and I needed a very small cake as not everyone would be eating it. She suggested the 10 inch. I wasn't even thinking as I worked in a bakery when I was younger and our 8-10 ppl box was 9 by 9.75 but that was so long ago I had a 50 hour work week was putting together a birthday Xmas eve dinner and my mom is on hospice so I was not thinking when it was $65!!!! The cake was sort of damaged from the box on the sides which is fine but it just had writing no flowers or no thought put into it.
