Lavender and cream
Natasha R.

10/10 gelato place! I absolutely loved the lavender and cream and they had a pretty good variety of flavors. I love that they have their own parking as well- there are no seats inside but there is a bench to sit outside. Delicious and would definitely go back!

Nothing special about this place. Moreover there are not many choices and the energy is missing

I've always been puzzled why there aren't more quality ice cream or gelato places adjacent to Piedmont Park, so this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

So good I misheard/misread the name as 'Heavenly Gelato.'…read more I'd done my bodily due diligence and eaten a health dinner so I was on the hunt for something sweet (and, maybe, not so healthy) to round things out. Walking around Ponce City Market I saw -- or, rather, I was led -- to the gelato stand. I spent summers in my teens in the ice cream and froyo world but the richness of gelato missed me. No more. Given a choice I'll always opt for the dense, silky stuff.* Because of my past I am not one of those who saunters up to the counter and asks for a sample of every flavor. If that's you, stop it. It's annoying. I had a few questions and the kind lady behind the counter was quick to answer them -- she even tried to get me to have some samples but my rule is steadfast. I told her about it and she laughed, nodding knowingly. I love that the menu contains all the allergen info so you can make the best decision for your tastebuds and body. Despite being iffy on milk sometimes I went for a scoop of nutella and a scoop of coffee. Of course the flavors blended beautifully. Of course the textures added to the experience. Of course I did my best to savor eating it rather than racing through every bite. Of course I wanted more when I was done... but there was more dessert to be had. *Experience with churning ice cream stays with you.

Honeysuckle Gelato at Ponce City Market was such a fun surprise. I went in hoping to find candy…read morecane ice cream--and there it was. I can't believe I forgot to review this place. The candy cane gelato was creamy, dreamy, and absolutely delicious--smooth vanilla gelato blended with crunchy bits of candy cane for the perfect festive touch. It had that silky, homemade feel with just the right balance of minty freshness and sweet holiday flavor. Seasonal flavors can sometimes feel gimmicky, but this one really delivered. We usually walk over from Krog Street Market along the BeltLine, which is such a fun, lively stroll--and by the time you get to Ponce City Market, it definitely feels like you've earned that gelato. Already looking forward to coming back this summer to see what flavor surprises they have in store.

I just had a great meal here. I had the mortadella sandwich. I was apprehensive because a few of…read morethe reviews mentioned a small amount of meat on the sandwich. I can tell you they were wrong. The sandwich contained a great portion of meat. You can see from my photos that it was a substantial portion of meat. The meat itself was tender as can be and was good Italian mortadella that almost melts in your mouth. It also had excellent pesto sauce on the sandwich and some of the best cheese around. I just got back from 2 months in Italy and this sandwich was as good as anything I had there. While I was there I had to try one of everything so for pastry I tried a sfogliata which is a multi layered pastry filled with a vanilla custard. This was either brought in directly from Italy or made by an Italian chef. It tasted just like it should. Then I tried the gelato. I had the stracciatella which was very good. Just two notes here though 1) the gelato temp is too cold. You need to let it warm a little before you eat it to get the full flavor 2) the pistacchio gelato served is bright green. This is not a sign of good pistacchio. Good pistacchio should be more of a khaki brownish green color Then I tried the espresso. It tasted great It was very nice inside. Simple setup looking like a gelateria. The service was friendly , fast , and efficient. The best that can be asked for. The highlight of the visit was actually running into Mr. Gio DiPalma that owns the establishment and other restaurants around town. He sat at a table and watched operations. It was nice to to see him personally checking on performance at his establishments

While this sandwich admittedly was very expensive (over $20 with tax), it was definitely delicious…read more And it was a healthy/large serving size. The Panini bread with some of the best I've had in a long time... soft, yet crispy-ish on the outside. Everything about the sandwich was fantastic with one exception: there was a slightly fishy taste on some bites. Needless to say, with the only ingredients being fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, prosciutto, and arugula, not sure where the fishy taste came from. The shop is average looking. I did not eat the gelato, but it looked very good. Service was efficient, but not overly friendly or personable. Person at the counter was more of an order taker, but there were no social greetings exchanged. The bread was so good that I would definitely go back if I had a craving for an Italian sandwich.
