Did longs in Hauula change their hours. I went there on thursday at 9:00 pm, store was closed.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy with the most rude pharmacist I have ever dealt with. They override my doctor every. single.month. Like they know more about my health issues than my DOCTOR???? And even though I've spent time discussing my issues with my doctor and I pay my doctor and then have to wait for them to call my doctor to approve the medication Every. Single.Time? They didn't even know I had Medicare. AND I've been going there for 2 1/2 years now. THE auto system didn't recognize my phone number. They didn't have enough of the medication I needed so I had to settle for 20 pills less and I can't refill till the following month so I agreed to take it unfortunately. They NEVER have what I need in stock. They're not willing to stock UP what I need. THEY are rude, entitled lazy, and they lack human compassion and the basic decency Needed. Hands down The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with in my long life in Hawaii. read more

My friends and I stopped by at this LONGS #10153 at HAUULA KAI SHOPPING CENTER HI 96717. Due to no data signal, I can't be sure if this review is at the correct location. I have to assume it is based on the CVS website. This is the one and only Longs Drugs Store in Hau'ula. We were here for some drinks after driving from Kahuku Food Truck area. Eating those salty food made us really thirsty. We could stop at the food stands on Kamahameha. Good thing we got to park safely at the parking lot. Everything in the store is CVS branded. It doesn't bother me. Because I know exactly why. And, I don't talk about politics on my Yelp reviews. So there. We were there in the afternoon around the time the school kids were going home. There was only one cashier and dozen of customers waiting to check out. We were on vacation. So, we didn't mind waiting. I found the usual Longs Drugs items at certain aisles by the grocery section. Got some lihing cherries, arare, coconut water and crack seeds. Then, we were on our way back to town. Overall, I thought it was pretty nice place to stop for some quick grabs. I wish we had time to explore the shopping center for some kaukau. Maybe next time. Aloha! read more

They could improve on many things like smile or customer service has to be good on your end. Customer Service is lacking in this understaffed location. One checker, no self-checkout. No assistance because only one person checking, and a manager ' too busy' to call for help locating a product. Store is a mess - be prepared to search through poorly organized and picked-over merchandise. At least checker was friendly. read more

Well stocked and neat aisles [Hau'ula HI] My daughter had a special request for these chocolates and this particular flavor. She said I could find these Hawaiian Host chocolates at any ABC Stores... I purchased two bags at an ABC Store in Waikiki at tourist prices (of course). I saw these same chocolates being sold at Kualoa Ranch too. Then my awesome Yelper friend, Donna O, tipped me and mentioned that they are currently on sale at Long's Drugs! Bless your heart, Donna! Hubby spotted this Long's store at the Hau'ula Kai Shopping Center off of Kamehameha Hwy. We stopped to see their chocolate inventory LoL! Remember my daughter requested this particular flavor, Kona Coffee Milk Chocolate... she said "the green one" LoL! There were 9 bags left so I grabbed all of it. This should last her awhile :) I also purchased some Hawaiian novelty tees w/ nice logos in front and back (for youngest daughter). The aisles are well kept and neat. Stopped here with my daughter while in the area in hopes to buy a few drinks and some local snacks as well as some to bring home to some family and friends. We were pleasantly surprised at the surplus of local treats from multiple local companies, which we could choose from. Mixed arare, li hing mui dusted candies and fruit, mixed nuts, macadamia nuts, and Kona coffee, you name it. We were in heaven. We grabbed a handful for ourselves and for gifts and we were good to go! I was a bit disappointed that their Hawaii knick-knack section was just a small low inventory end cap of a few items, but was still grateful for their large supply of snacks that I would be able to bring home for gifts. read more

I haven't seen a longs in a long time. I guess it's CVS on Yelp... They had lots of Japanese and Hawaiian snacks so I loved that! I came for some Aloe since I had a skin reaction and I was breaking out in hives. Luckily, they had a generic version left and it was the last one! I guess you can say, they need to stock up more, as this facility is far from other stores. read more

Great place to pick up a range of items without going all the way into town. Non perishables (and a few fresh items), sunscreen, snorkel gear, kitchen needs and toiletries are all found here. Second, he went so far out of his way to help me I'm actually writing a review for a grocery store. I hope his management sees this because this dude went all over the store trying to find the thing he needed to help an idiot like me. I bought something with a credit card, walked out the door and threw away the receipt, then realized it was the wrong thing. I shop here because it is close to my home. There is a very prejudiced member of staff here. I have noticed that every time I get to the front of the checkout line, she walks off and pretends to straighten the batteries or candy shelf. As soon as I leave the store, she moves back to her checkout. She has done this numerous times. When I drive off, I look in through the window and see her back serving customers. I can't imagine that I am the only white person she does this to. This woman should not be working at this store. She is extremely rude and should not be conducting herself in her place of business like this. Does management not check up on staff behavior? This Longs is sub standard compared to the other Longs on Oahu. The last 3 times I've been there lots of people are not wearing masks. The last time I was there the manager was wearing her mask around her neck while 2 ft away from a customer and another employee, both of them were wearing masks. I asked for help finding something and the employee said "over there somewhere". It is a poorly run store, it's been that way since the previous owners ran it, been 2nd rate for decades. I still go there when I need something 'cause it's close by but only if I have to since it doesn't feel safe. read more

This morning I was purchasing a charger and was in rush. Took me forever to find it but still somehow got it wrong! Took some prescriptions for my wife to the pharmacy. Met with the pharmacist who informed me that of the 3 prescriptions given by my wife's dentist she only had 2 on hand. It really wasn't a problem and asked if she would be able to fill the other prescription later. Her response was that they don't order percocet so I'd have to go else where. Again not a problem. At that point I was more concerned about getting the right medication for my wife. Fast forward a day and my wife made mention to her sister that CVS pharmacy Hauula didn't have percocet. My sister inlaw worked in that exact pharmacy for some time and thought it unusual because they always had percocet on hand. My sister inlaw called CVS to inquire about the percocet and found out they do have percocet but the pharmacist plays god with who does and doesn't recieve medication even when you have a valid prescription. Funny enough when I asked about filling the prescription later she told me my wife didn't need percocet and would be fine without it. So not only does she play god with the medication but she also plays every type of doctor and dentists. She may pretend to be a doctor or dentist but she is definitely a liar. I would've preferred hearing that I look suspicious and that is why she wouldn't give me the prescription but she straight lied to me. Apparently she does this to a lot people but I know she definitely did it to me. read more

This is a long over due THANK YOU to Shirley! A few weeks ago, when school was just back in session (July-August), everybody was flocking to the stores for last minute items, so it was kinda crazy busy. I was searching for two things-- a timer and something else (I totally forgot what it was since I ended up finding it). I finally found a worker (Shirley) and had asked for her help. When we checked the location of the item, there was only digital timers, and I had wanted a manual one. She apologized and said there was probably none in stock and left. About 10 minutes passed, and Shirley finds me and said, "I've been looking all over for you! Here I found a manual timer!!!" Her customer service was superb! I did not expect her to go out of her way to find me, even after that long! Despite the craziness and long lines, Shirley made a difference in the way she exhibited AWESOME customer service!!! This is a brand new longs. Signs are posted high so you pretty much get an idea of what your looking for instead of trekking the isles. Friendly staff and I hope it stays that way. Lots of parking since there's only a few other businesses in this place. read more

Update from 6months ago- this place is still the same if not gotten worse. Now there's usually only 1 cashier so the line is usually really long. The one cashier has one speed but I don't really blame her. Why should she work extra hard because no one is there to help?! Whenever she calls for help it takes forever for someone else to come up front and when they do they don't take the next person in the line who has been waiting forever. They take the last person in line who just got there or their Aunty or friend or someone they know. I waited in line for over 10 mind today. The 2nd clerk came out and took two different people who just jumped in line behind me. They payed and left before I even got to the cashier. I was so pissed! This longs just overall SUCKS!! read more

I've read the reviews and I wonder what type of people are writing those horrid reviews? TRUTH ..... CVS LONGS came to Hauula un-welcomed ... basically because they sell alcohol and can offer better prices than the local stores that have always had no real competition! They didn't care that CVS Longs would save them gas money spent running back and forth to and from Kaneohe. REVIEW ... I like the Manager ... he is the perfect manager! Totally Friendly! As for the staff ... I haven't run into a problem with any of the staff ... they all seem to be very happy to see me when I arrive ... which keeps me coming back ... often! I agree that some items may be hard to find ... and placing sale items, from the different categories, is all together maddening ... and I think I will see if I can get that changed. But, overall ... this is a plus for Hauula, and I love the store. PLUS ... I often find better prices here than at the other CVS Longs in Kaneohe ... often! To those that had a bad experience ... everyone has an off-day ... try it again and see if you don't agree with that! read more

One star is for customer service from the operations manager. I will preface this by saying that customer service is EVERYTHING!! Something this young lady needs to learn. I will never yelp until I've first tried to handle my issue with the person in charge. If they are unable or unwilling to help then Yelp, it is. We were driving back from The North Shore in need of beverages and toiletries. We googled the longs add to see if they had any of what we needed. After following the link to the web site we pressed the button that said local add. We purchased those items and brought to the cashiers attention that the prices were incorrect according to their add. She called up the "person in charge". I showed her repeatedly how we downloaded there weekly specials. To which she continually replied that's not our weekly ad. I kept showing her and she kept arguing. Needless to say we left extremely unhappy. If you work for a company that advertises weekly specials at your location you need to honor them. No argument, no skin off your back. We might of been the only people in a lifetime that came across this issue. Rather than make us happy we left with an extremely sour taste for this CVS location. I literally shop at Longs EVERY SINGLE DAY. It is the closest store to my job. I think I will now make it a point to go out of my way to go to Walgreens!!! read more

Stopped in after stuffing my happy face at Papa Ole's. I was on a mission from the main land to find a special kind of coated macadamia nut for my boss. I walked in and proceeded to the back of the store. Hit the restroom and then proceeded to roam the aisles checking out what this location in Hauula had to offer. My brother alerted me to a section of the store where I could have found the (now) mystical cinnamon coated mac nut. No such luck! But whatever......this store had a little bit of this and that for both the local and the tourist. I even found a bottle of Jameson for much cheaper than I would have paid for in CONUS. I'm not usually harsh but If I could I'd give this longs a 0 star! I was so excited to hear we were getting a longs here in Hauula because we've been without a drugstore since Pay'n save long ago. Yay finally!! But, after being open for some time now there is A LOT that they still need to work on! Always only 1 cashier open. Maybe 2 usually the same 2 ladies but they are slow & lines are usually long with a long wait. Customers are usually irritated. Majority of their cashiers are sour & seem like they don't want to be there & hate their job. They also can't operate their system correctly & have a lot of trouble. Give them a coupon- A LONGS ISSUED COUPON and you can expect to wait at least 10 mins for them to figure it out. And it's their coupon! You would think since they issue these like crazy on your receipt or thru the in store machine that they'd know how to redeem them. Not the case here.. Pretty embarrassing when people in line behind you are getting annoyed because it's taking so long. Good luck if u need help with something because every other employee is hiding out in the back. You can never find anyone on the floor. Which also means shelves are usually never stocked & most sale items are sold out because no one refilled the shelf. Good luck asking the cashier to call someone to help you. Most the time no one responds or takes forever to come out onto the floor. If you do get lucky u can track an employee down & ask them to check the back for the product. Most times it's back there. My question is what are all their employees (besides the 2 cashiers) doing in the back? They obviously aren't restocking... This store is also very unorganized, items are scattered everywhere. You can find the same item in 3 different locations throughout the store in all different departments that you wouldn't think to look for it. Not customer friendly at all. Someone needs to improve this place soon. So many people I know have the same feedback as I do & are unhappy w/ this place. PROS: the pharmacy is awesome, great service. No problems. Thank god they have it together! Plus, they have lots of parking. read more

Have had wonderful experiences shopping at this Longs. You don't have to wait over a half an hour in line to pickup your prescriptions like you have to in Kaneohe. Staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. read more
