Cute spot tucked near the bathrooms where all of the food trucks are located in Kahuku. I really wanted to like this place and hoping that it would be my go-to spot in this area. The vibe is inviting but the experience didn't live up to my expectations. There was no line when we got there. But we waited for 36 minutes for an egg sandwich and a bagel. Not exactly complicated orders that justifies the wait. When they finally arrived they were cold. Tasted like the brioche was toasted and the egg was cooked way over easy- I feel this should be asked during ordering trust me I am a pop the egg yolk kinda girly but the whites was not cooked all the way. Sad face. I will try the drinks next time they use Pono syrups. The service throughout was lackluster at best, with little communication or sense of urgency. Felt like the owners took a day off and let the staff run the place for the day.

We had nice morning walk along the Kawela Bay trails and then pulled into Country Eatery for breakfast. Parking was easy and ordering at the counter was easy too. My friend and I each got a hot espresso drink and we split a veggie burrito. The burrito was solidly chock full of hearty veg and wrapped in a good quality tortilla. I dumped plenty of homemade salsa and slaw directly onto my burrito, which I highly recommend as they kick it up a notch.

I needed a good drink and I noticed all these people walking around with a matcha. I was sold. As a matcha girlie, I was a little hesitant to try a new place out, but to my surprise, they had ceremonial matcha. I thought my coconut matcha was great! Service was fast and they had lots of syrup and flavor options. The place was cute and had some seating but my husband and I opted to take it to go.

Wow! This was great. Fun environment, friendly service and delicious food. Couldn't ask for more. Way-finding signs could be improved but after asking a local we were able to find it with no issues. Favorite part was eating at a counter that opened to the outside and feeling the sea breeze as I enjoyed some locally sourced fruit. Loved it!

Located in kahuku by all the trucks. This coffee shop has non prices listed but it's definitely reasonable. Very cute coffee shop with friendly service. I order an iced hazelnut latte with occ milk. It's oat, coconut, and cashew milk that they make in store. It was creamy and tasty! It was $6 compared to other coffee places around that cost $10. There's only large or small size and I got the 'large.' I also ordered their carrot cake which was $6 and big! It was definitely homemade and tasted amazing with the frosting. I recommend getting their carrot cake! I will be back to get it again for sure!

Hands down my favorite place to eat. Well made and high quality. So much love is put into to each item!! I love not only the food, the employees but also the setting. I usually bring picnic blanket and my baby and I make a whole event out of stopping by here! We always meet other babies and leave with new friends!

Amazing! Best matcha on the island by far. Not too sweet & has that real matcha flavor. The perfect green. I got it with oat milk and agave. Sweet workers and cute atmosphere!

Found this little spot tucked away in a parking lot. There is actually a lot of food trucks and smaller food spots around the area. The weather was beautiful so i loved the large open windows and the outdoor seating area. The staff was very patient as we tried to decide what we wanted. The food itself was very fresh and so delicious! My wife had the very pancakes, i was able to steal a bite, and i wish i had ordered that. Definitely a great spot to chill and enjoy some delicious food Will definitely be back!

    Egg sandwich

Overcooked egg, squashed bun and bad customer service. The person at the counter was interacting with everyone except me. Also had to wait 20min for that sandwich.

This place almost feels like a hidden gem. We happened upon it for breakfast while staying out on the North Shore and it was SO GOOD we went back the very next day for breakfast again! We each had breakfast sandwiches, lattes, and we split a mochi butter bar thing (this was honestly the most meh out of all of it). But the sandwiches were reeaaallly good, and great value for the price. Our first morning they accidentally swapped one of our sandwich orders with one from another couple's order (who we also saw getting bfast here the next day too!) and they immediately remade the sandwich without batting an eye, apologizing profusely. The place itself is very cute/quaint. It's a small shop and they only have about 6 seats inside/covered (bar-type seating at an open window facing out; it's really quite nice actually). But there are plenty of outdoor/uncovered places to sit right outside too. There are water cups for customers that you can fill up with a water cooler so you don't have to bug anyone for more water as well. Enjoy a nice, relaxing morning here watching the wild chickens and cats playing outside :)

Tucked in the back this is sort of a hidden gem. Mostly locals. Love the coffee and treats are legit. Small sitting area outside with a few seats inside at the window.

Ordered the iced vanilla macadamia nut latte and it was so smooth & delicious - I substituted with oatmilk. Only thing is that I almost cost me $8 and the large size is honestly small but it's a local spot and the coffee was so worth it. Would come back again!

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt genuine, welcoming, and wholesome. It didn't feel like a tour at all. It felt like we were spending the day with family. Judah made our visit extra special. We loved picking fresh fruit, sampling the delicious fruits, juices, cacao, and cacao nibs, and every recommendation he made was absolutely spot on. The lilikoi butter, eggplant pizza, garden salad, and smoothies were all incredible, especially the Coach Smoothie. Everything was so fresh and delicious that we came back again on our last day before leaving Hawaii. Thank you, Judah and the entire Kahuku Farm team, for making my husband's birthday so memorable. Your warmth, hospitality, and passion made this one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. If you're looking for an authentic, family-friendly Hawaiian experience with amazing food, fresh fruit, and wonderful people, Kahuku Farm is an absolute must-visit. Mahalo nui loa!

The staff is always super friendly and easy parking. I still miss the veggie panini so very much...it was my absolute favorite! I heard it may be making a comeback in the future, which is wonderful news but not sure when that will be. In the meantime, I've grown to like the CLT (chicken, lettuce, and tomato) panini. It has the same panini sauce that the veggie panini did. It's not quite the same, but it's definitely become my go-to. I do wish there was a half panini and salad option. Can't go wrong with the pizza either, it's delish!

Enough visits that this is no longer about catching them on a bad afternoon, ordering the wrong thing or failing to understand what the place is supposed to be. I've tried the different shrimp, stood in the lines, eaten at the tables, navigated the parking, brought people here and returned because, for a very long time, Giovanni's was simply one of those places you went when you were on this side of the island. At some point, repetition becomes evidence. The truck itself has become an artifact. Covered in signatures, battered by time, photographed millions of times. There was probably a period when all of that felt charming. Now it mostly feels tired. There is a difference between patina and neglect and the surrounding experience has increasingly crossed that line for me. Flies, crowded tables, overflowing activity, rough parking, heat, trash nearby. You can romanticize rustic only so far before rustic starts asking for a pressure washer. Then there is the service, which has consistently been the hardest part for me to understand. I don't need anyone performing hospitality like they're auditioning for a resort commercial, but basic warmth costs nothing. Too often the interaction here feels impatient and transactional, as though the customer is somehow inconveniencing the operation by showing up to buy the food. After enough visits, you stop calling that an off day. And then there is the plate. The shrimp itself is actually the least offensive part. It is generally cooked reasonably well. Tender enough, rarely destroyed and when you get a good batch you can understand why this formula became so popular. Everything around it drags it down. The rice has repeatedly been soft, clumped and bordering on mushy. I am annoyingly particular about rice, but rice is not some decorative substance placed beneath the main event. It matters. When half the plate is rice, screwing it up is not a minor detail. The garlic is abundant, certainly, but abundance and care are different things. It often arrives more like a wet mass of processed garlic than the fragrance and texture you get from properly chopped fresh cloves. Add the butter and oil and you certainly get intensity, but after several bites the whole thing becomes heavy rather than interesting. The little salad on the side generally feels like an afterthought that has been waiting for someone to remember it. And that is ultimately my problem with Giovanni's. The entire experience feels as though its reputation arrived at the destination years before the restaurant did and everyone decided there was no longer much reason to keep improving. People will continue coming. Of course they will. The name is famous, the truck is recognizable, the photographs are practically mandatory and nostalgia is one hell of a business model. I understand it because it worked on me for years. But strip away the mythology and ask a brutally simple question: If this exact plate came from an unknown truck with no history, no signatures and no reputation, would you still wait in line for it? I wouldn't. Two stars. The shrimp can still be decent and I have too many memories here to pretend the place means nothing to me. But nostalgia should bring you back to a restaurant. It shouldn't be responsible for making the food taste better. I kept returning because tradition can turn habit into taste. I'm done confusing the two.
