Wow, look at this awesome selection of delicious donuts!
    William M.

Wow, what a nice little place! Great selection of delicious donuts, many with creative designs, but the star here is the wonderful lady who runs the shop. What a kind beautiful person. We need more people like this in the world and we need more people like this to run our local businesses who are so friendly and welcoming to the customers and want to make sure they get a good experience. Her friendly smile and cheerful attitude sure brightened up my day, even more than the donuts. Now to the donuts themselves, they are mostly traditional, American style donuts, but they also have mochi donuts which you haven't tried them are made with rice flour and are a little bit chillier but definitely an interesting donut experience if you'd like to get away from the usual donuts for a change. So happy to have been able to finally try this place and I hope many of you will do the same .

Over priced, I paid over $40 for a dozen donuts and a very small over priced maple bar with bacon . They better make me shit gold. Despite the overpriced donuts the staff was nice. Lower your prices your donuts are not that special, they taste just like any other donut.

Not only was this such a yummy, lightly crunchy, yet soft and moist donut but the service was immaculate. Coincidentally the owner is best friends with the owner of my favorite donut shop at home in Sacramento! What're the odds!? I am a faithful chocolate lover and don't switch it up too much with my donuts but my cousin got the chocolate mochi donut & fruity pebbles donut and said they were perfectly sweet and fluffy! We will be back

TV Donuts is a cute little shop. Traditional donuts and mochi donuts. The service was friendly, polite, and courteous. She was very sweet! Vietnamese Iced Coffee (3/5). Half sweet, but it lacked the bold expresso flavor I am used to. Apple Fritter (3.5/5). Good crispiness on the edges. A tad sweet for me but it was good and filled with apple pieces. Overall, 3.5 stars.

    Mochi Donuts ($3.49 each)

Date: Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 Time: around 11:15am Party of: 4 What: Dessert *Mochi Donut ($3.49) x3 *Glazed Donut ($2.09) *Cream Filled ($2.69) *Old Fashion ($2.19) *Lemon Filled ($2.69) The hubby was going to run an errand, so I asked him to grab donuts on the way back. We had spotted TV Donuts earlier this year, but it was always too late when we were nearby. Figured it was a good chance to finally check them out. For the mochi donuts, we got green tea, strawberry, taro. I loved the chewiness, but I found them waaay too sweet. I scrapped off some of the icing and it was better. The custard donut had a good amount of filling. Tho the lemon was the opposite. Not much filling at all. The glazed was actually a sugar raised. Nice and fluffy. The maple old fashion was as expected. Good crispy chewy outside. I wouldn't mind coming back to try more. Especially their more elaborate ones. REVIEW #3538

Came by late at night and managed to snag some of their last donuts! The mochi donuts were pretty good, chewy and still tasted fresh considering how cold it was and that it was later in the day. The sugar donut was ok, strawberry and taro were my favorites. $23 for 6 mochi donuts

matcha donut, old w fashioned, specialty strawberry rabbits and a delicious cinnamon roll.

Tv donuts do not disappoint. They have colorful donuts that are fresh and sweet. It's clean and well appointed . The service was awesome. Try TV donuts and you will be walking out with a

I'm from the East Bay and usually pretty picky when it comes to boba, but this place surprised me. The lady at the counter (I think she might be the owner?) was super patient and had me try my honey black milk tea with boba before I left -- I ordered it at 50% sugar, and she wanted to make sure it was just right. Even offered to remake it if I wasn't into it, which was really thoughtful. The tea itself? Strong -- like, actually tea and not just watery milk. The boba was smaller than the typical spot but super fresh with that perfect chewy texture (made fresh in house). I also had a donut (regular American-style, not mochi), and while it was on the smaller side, it hit the spot. Definitely not mad about it after a 2-hour hike. Overall, a great little treat and worth the stop.

    1:45pm on a Friday selection
    Megan J.

There was no line with a fair selection of donuts still available ~1:45pm on a Friday. From the mochi donuts we got 1 maple + 1 strawberry (there were also a few plain glazed & 1 green option (matcha?)) - strawberry was the winner; both were pleasantly chewy (as expected). My man also got a fruity pebble raised glazed donut which was surprisingly delicious to me - I'm not the biggest (artificial) sweets person but this had a nice balance plus the added crunch was fun & it was just one layer so not tooooo much fruity pebble madness. Service was quick (no line at time of our visit), we were on our way on the road around the lake in no time.

If you are craving donuts you'll be satisfied here. They even offer mochi donuts. The mochi donuts are on the heavy side compared to lighter and fluffier ones I've had at other bakeries, but the frosting flavors were on point, especially the strawberry one. I wanted a cinnamon roll with raisins but the cashier told me she's never heard of a cinnamon roll "with raisins" only glazed or no glaze. This bakery has a few seats inside if you want to eat there but this is a basic no frills.

I loved the donuts at this spot; although a little pricey everything tasted really good. Service was quick and easy, the place itself looked clean and they had a lot of drink/coffee options, cute donuts for kids with candy and stuff but also plenty of classic pastry options for everyone!

Very bright cute clean space that sells donuts. We were greeted as we walked inside. I chose the glazed star and my friend got the raspberry filled glaze. My donut was SOOO good! Ugh if you're passing through Lake Tahoe definitely add this to your list of places to check out!

We got a chocolate croissant (only decent thing I got, but don't compare it to an artisanal made croissant where it's a dark golden brown with flaky crispy buttery layers). Their "croissants" are more like anemic, soft, moist bread. Also, got a cheese Danish. Starbucks sells a better cheese Danish than this place. The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.

I had planned on…read moregetting a breakfast sandwich and one of their specialty coffee drinks, but the line was so long and it would've taken so much longer to wait for those things that by the time I got to the front after waiting 25 minutes or so I just ordered things that I could take and run out the door with. The drip coffee was OK, not the best coffee I've ever had but the pastries were really good. We tried a veggie frittata, a maple bar, an iced lemon cookie, an iced oatmeal raisin cookie, and their yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. The doughnut was ridiculously good. The cookies were fantastic. The yogurt parfait was delicious with fresh homemade granola and peak of the season peaches and berries. My buddy said the frittata was excellent as well. So just a couple notes: there's only one person taking orders so the line moves very, very slow. If you are waiting in line, plan your order ahead of time so that when you get up to the front, you're not one of the idiot tourists standing there being a jackass, making it longer for everybody else because they didn't pay attention to the menu board or the pastry case before they got up to the front. That was the most irritating thing about this experience. One group had to bring their whole six kids in (even though they didn't let them order anything) they were just in the way and the people right after them did not plan and took forever to order. So be cognizant of other people around you and pay attention. It will make the entire line move faster. Plenty of seating out front, but not a ton of parking. Planning to try and go back and try some more pastries before I leave this week.

The grilled cheese was the surprise winner of it all. Cheddar on sourdough - simple but amongst the best I've ever had. It didn't need all the extra fancy stuff, I liked it simple. Nice strong cheddar flavor on a yummy bread :). Prices were reasonable considering inflation . $5.75 I think for a cup, $10.50 for a bowl and $13.50 for a bread bowl.
