We were staying at Margaritaville, and this was just a short 5-minute walk away (don't trust the Google maps directions, which takes you far out of the way). The location is in Heavenly Village, just a few feet away from the gondola ticket booth. As East Coast residents experiencing jet lag, we were waking up ridiculously early every day while on vacation in Lake Tahoe - therefore it was important to find the places that opened early. When we got to this Cafe at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, the coffee was already hot, and the staff was fully engaged. They weren't working the counter service yet, so we ordered for ourselves using the convenient kiosk. It was simple to use, and conveyed the order with just the modifications we were looking for. You can see in my photo, I had the chocolate chip pancakes, I was hungry so I got three pancakes - you can get any quantity you're looking for. We chose to eat inside their small dining area, you can also grab food to go. The chocolate chip pancakes were hot and freshly made. The coffee was a bit expensive for just regular coffee at $6.25 a cup, but that is comparable with Starbucks which is in the same shopping area. This business also makes decadent treats, and they sell both winter and summer merch (everything from winter hats to sunblock and lip balm, etc.). We were in Lake Tahoe for 4 days and found quite a few great breakfast places - Heavens Little Cafe is one very good choice, especially for the convenience early in the morning.

If you're just looking for something that is convenient where you don't have to leave the casino, the coffee is $7, which is about the standard.

The gentleman at the counter was a man of few words. Kind and earnest. The various pan dulce sat so pretty within the glass cabinets. But there was no pricing. They had the pan dulce names clearly labeled though. Considering it was early afternoon, some items were scarce. But they still had enough variety to satisfy my sweet tooth. I bought some orejas (don't you dare say palmiers), polvorones (they're gorgeous tri colored happy looking butter cookies), conchas (soft bready center with sweet sugary, crisp top goodness), and butter cookies topped with shredded coconut. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and looked so cheerful. It's a true panaderia where you take a tray and tongs and serve yourself by loading up the baked goodies onto your tray. You take the tray and tongs to the cashier to pay. They'll bag up everything for you. Another important thing to know is their payment policy. They take cash, Venmo, and Zelle. No Apple Pay nor plastic.

They have a small seating area towards the very back. But honestly, come here while it's still summer and get the DOLE WHIP! You can get it as is or vanilla swirl or just vanilla. It's rare to find Dole Whip outside of Disneyland. Otherwise, the other option would be to go to Hawaii. I always get the swirl. I assume they're only serving this for the season, so get it while you can!
