Grocery stores are truly my kryptonite and I knew I would throw down - if I stepped inside, but being that we were going to be out for awhile, and that we were nowhere near a cooler - I figured I would have to show some restraint. From the outside Priceco doesn't look like much - but step inside and prepared to be impressed. I was. They had soooo many of my favorite things. Their produce section was solid. Their frozen section was on point. Their snack selection was what's up. Their drink selection was fantastic. They truly had it all! The only section that I was not feeling was their meat department. That section of the store had a strong aroma that I was not a fan of. But don't let their meat section of the store deter you from all of the epicness that surrounds you in this grocery store gem. I was taking pictures left and right with my phone to get my visual grocery fix and to remind myself of the well curated selection of items that Priceco carries. The Sonora area is blessed with a wondrous assortment of grocery stores - and I'm excited to add Priceco to the list. Trust.

We understand they have work to do, but it would be wonderful if serving waiting customers could be a higher priority. I stop in here occasionally to pick up a sandwich and a few things before heading up into the mountains. The last couple of times I've been in, I've been waited on by the same employee. I treated her with nothing but kindness and respect, yet for some reason she treated me like I had personally done something to her. Her attitude was hostile, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for. The first time it happened, I was honestly baffled. Even her coworkers appeared shocked by the way she was speaking to and treating me. I figured maybe she was having a bad morning and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, on my next visit, the exact same thing happened with the exact same employee. Once again, I was polite to her, and once again she acted like she had some kind of personal vendetta against me. Her coworkers again seemed visibly uncomfortable with her behavior. At this point, I'm done spending my money here. I have no idea what this employee's problem is, but customers should not be treated this way--especially customers who have done absolutely nothing except walk in, be polite, and spend money at your business. Apparently, they don't need the business--or at least not mine.

At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing
