We will be back on our next visit to Minnesota. Thanks for such a great, positive experience.

If you're even a few minutes late, they immediately reschedule you for another six weeks because their schedule is packed. There's no effort to compromise or work with you. This has happened multiple times over the years, and it's very frustrating to wait that long just for being a few min late.

Recently changed to a different dentist because I did not care for the way the dentist spoke to me…read more Quite curt and borderline rude. Also she filled 2 cavities for my kid and at her follow-up appt said that the cavities are still growing despite us brushing and flossing everyday. I don't feel the cavities were filled correctly. She is offered no treatment other than silver diamine which is expensive, isn't covered by insurance and although she never mentioned this, after my own research it apparently needs to be redone every 6 months or so. She could've refilled the cavities at her expense or taken the time to explain the option a bit more instead of handing me a handout on my way out the door. I've had probably 15 cavities in my lifetime and never had a reoccurring cavity the very next appointment. So based on my personal experience with previous dentists over the course of my lifetime, and my personal experience at this office over several visits, I don't feel this one is up to par with communication, customer relations or care. No reason to stick around. I'm sure they will try to explain away this as they have the previous reviews instead of accepting responsibility for anything, or saying that's my perception of the events so let's have it.

Great Experiences! We have been seeing Dr. Sakhi for 5 years now. My son has a rare genetic…read moredisorder and Dr. Sakhi was the first dentist he allowed to look inside his mouth and clean his teeth. Since he struggles with severe anxiety, he has to be sedated for cavity procedures. This was the second procedure he needed to have and doing it in the office was preferred all around for ease, timeliness and cost. The entire staff was professional, demonstrated compassion, kindness, and encouragement. The anesthesiologists from Dream were superior. Everyone communicated the process and after care thoroughly with follow up calls and texts to ensure he was well. On a side note, as I read the other reviews, especially the negative ones, I struggle to accept their opinion of this dental office. This dental office is out of network for us and possibly for a lot of people which will lead to higher prices. And you know your child best and need to be advocate for them, so if Dr. Sakhi's practice isn't the right fit for your family, that's okay. However, we believe our son receives the best care for his type of disability and I believe Dr. Sakhi can pride herself on taking care of children like my son who cannot and will not have care in a "regular" dental office. At one time, when Dr. Sakhi didn't think she could help us, she referred us out, this is not poor care but rather the opposite, it's caring enough about your patient to ensure they get the best possible care. And when we needed to postpone his procedure due to insurance issues, they worked with us and continued to monitor my son's dental health. They didn't pressure us, they waited until we were ready and for that I am grateful. Thank you Tooth and Co!

She said if I continued having pain to return in a couple of months. It was clear that same day that the problem was not resolved. I didn't want to wait a couple months so I found a different dentist. He made 4 adjustments over the period of a year, and I continued to have pain. Finally, he said he needed to remove the crown to see what was going on. It turned out that Dr. Franco had left decay under the crown. The tooth was very irritated so he put a temporary on with the hope it would quiet down. It did not. Ultimately, he had to pull it. I wrote to Dr Franco and asked her to return the money that I had paid for the crown, and to pay to replace the tooth. She returned the money for the crown, but she did not pay to replace the tooth. The letter she sent with the refund said "as a courtesy" she was refunding the money. No apology, no acknowledgment of the decay she left under the crown, and no acknowledgment that I lost the tooth.

The clinic has two dentists, four hygienists, and a couple front desk staff. The office is located in an office park building in Maple Grove. The waiting room is so welcoming. It's tastefully decorated for kids. Cartoons on the TV, free Pac-Man arcade game, lots of books, and magazine for the adults. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The exam space is great, too. It's an open-air concept with benches and art for privacy rather than walls or exam rooms. My favorite part of our visit was the staff. As someone who despises trips to the dentist myself, I have put off my son's first visit for years. At 4.5, I worried that he would be scared and non-compliant. But our hygienist made him feel very comfortable. I appreciated that she showed him the chair and let him try each of the tools before using them. The cleaning was very gentle. She took breaks as often as he asked. After he picked out a prize and got a sticker for being cavity-free, we saw the dentist (Dr. Borodkin). She reviewed his chart and took the time to review his X-rays in detail. I was worried that she would scold me for waiting so long to bring him in. Not at all! She was informative and supportive, not judgmental. We left with a 'swag' bag - toothbrush, paste, a water bottle, a really nifty flosser, and a save the date for our next appointment. We will DEFINITELY be going back.

When I finished treatment and got my permanent retainer, I was verbally told that if I ever needed a replacement it would be a small fee. Two years later I called to get one replaced and was told the office doesn't keep the models or scans they used to make the retainer, so I'd have to pay $600 for them to take new scans and fabricate new ones. When I explained what I'd been told, the response was essentially "we have no record of that." Keeping the model would be easy; throwing it out and forcing patients to pay full price again feels like a deliberate business decision to squeeze more money out of people. If it's too difficult for them to keep the models, they should at least hand them to the patient or clearly disclose up front that losing a retainer means paying $600 to start over. It's especially disappointing after being a patient for so many years. I won't be returning.
