They catered an event for me and people are still telling me how great the food was. YUM! I recommend their Salmon.

After months of working with caterers who didn't respond, took too long to respond, wouldn't quote me the full price for our wedding, etc., I reached out to Twelve Baskets. When I received a response within a few hours of my inquiry that included a fabulous menu and all within budget, I was in disbelief. I thought the way other caterers operated was the way ALL caterers would operate. Thankfully, Twelve Baskets proved me wrong. I wish I could throw big parties all the time so that I can continue to work with them. Angela was my best friend throughout the whole process and took so much stress out of wedding planning. I wish I could've thanked the staff members individually on our wedding day. It's mostly because of you that our wedding went off without a hitch. Twelve Baskets did a excellent job catering our wedding! We had a small space to fit a lot of people and Sara had plenty of ideas, experience, and input to help design a great plan that worked out well. The day of went smooth and the food tasted great! A few servers weren't too thrilled or eager to cleanup some shrimp that had spilled onto a walk way, but only one of very few blemishes on the Twelve Baskets experience. If the Twelve Baskets menu and concept fit you, we definitely recommend using them. read more

After our wedding someone said to me, "No one remembers the food at a wedding. I hope no one remembers the food at your wedding." The prime rib they served was far from prime. The presentation was horrendous (no bread plate - just a bun and a pat of butter still wrapped in the tin foil.) The staff they hired clearly were on their first service job. They showed up at least 30 minutes late, which meant my wedding party ended up setting up the tables for the reception. From beginning to end, serving the main course took about 45 minutes - which meant by the time I had finished, less than half of our guests had even been served. The desert was supposed to be served with a chocolate fountain, but came in a basket instead. And then, to top it all off, during the reception they asked my best man for a gratuity. When he declined, they came to me during my own wedding reception with a bill in hand asking me to sign for a gratuity. I declined as well. They followed up with me on two separate occasions on the phone after our wedding trying to get more money out of us. We dealt with many vendors for our wedding. Twelve Baskets was the only one we were disappointed with - unfortunately, they represented the largest portion of our budget. read more

WOW, I would give 6 stars if I could. I have worked with many different vendors and it's hard to find one as streamlined as 12 Baskets. They had some great food choices to choose from. Vita was amazing and did a site walk through with us to help figure out a good set up, then she helped us to adjust accurate food amounts for the amount of people we were having, since not as many people had RSVP'd as we planned. They were very willing to work with us. The day of the event, the head caterer was endlessly helpful as well as quick, quiet, and in charge. He had everything running smoothly, checked on us throughout the night, deferred to our preferences for literally anything. The food was super yummy, the way the tables were laid out was gorgeous and staff was professional and attentive. We will definitely use them again! read more

We used Twelve Baskets for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is wonderful, the displays are gorgeous, and most importantly the food is delicious. Vita worked me for months, over 75 email exchanges, to craft the perfect menu for our budget. They also provided me a completely separate gluten free meal that was in my dietary restrictions and were extremely attentive to us during the wedding. Very nice and extremely professional. We had a great experience using Twelve Baskets as the caterer for our wedding! After, and even during, the wedding our guests commented on how delicious the food was. There was plenty of food and we had a lot of leftovers that the caterer encouraged us to take home (we sent them home with other people because we were leaving on our honeymoon a couple days after the wedding). During the wedding the lead caterer was very calm and accommodating. Initially, we decided to provide our own napkins to cut costs, but it the craziness of organizing everything, we forgot the napkins. The caterers noticed this, calmly asked me about it, and then said I didn't need to worry about it and sent one of their staff to get napkins. It was great to not worry or stress about it! The servers were very professional and attentive. I had a request about when and how to serve the wedding cake and one of the serves told me "It's your day and we'll do it however you'd like," which is exactly what you want to hear. It was great! The also packed up two meals with the leftover, which was a blessing because we didn't have any groceries due to leaving for the honeymoon in a couple days. I would have given Twelve Baskets 5 starts, but had to take one away due to billing. We had to pay an additional $400 more than they quoted due to higher labor costs. You would think a caterer who has as much experience as Twelve Baskets could more accurately quote labor costs. Other than that, it was a terrific experience with delicious food, good service, and a reasonable price! read more

We priced and tasted food from many other top-rated caterers in the area but decided on Twelve Baskets due to their great customer service, reasonable price, and the fact that the food we tasted was simply the best. Stephanie was our contact for our wedding and she was amazing. Every time we had questions or concerns she offered great advice and put us at ease. Service went flawlessly and the food was a huge hit. Every person we talked to during and after the wedding commented on how great it was! We used 12 Baskets for our August 2015 wedding. When we first contracted with 12 Baskets, our account representative was wonderful, prompt, and on top of things. However, when she left the company and we were assigned a new account representative, things went downhill. Our new rep took weeks to reply to emails, wouldn't return phone calls, cancelled meetings with less than 30 minutes notice, would promise to make changes to our proposal and then never do so, etc. We reached out to the owner of the company, who then monitored all of our communication with the rep from there on out to make sure she did her job. The day of the wedding, we had several problems with 12 Baskets. While our contract stipulated that they would put our specially made menus inside folded napkins on each table and that they would keep our cake ball display stocked throughout the night, neither of these things happened. They were about 20 minutes late getting dinner served, and the food was lukewarm. After dinner was over, they realized they had completely left one of the items off of the dinner buffet. They said they would pass it around on trays, but this never happened either. On the positive side, the taste of the food was good, staff the day of the wedding were very nice, and they created several custom items for our buffet, which we received compliments on from our guests. All in all, while I think things turned out ok, the headaches caused by poor customer service leading up to the wedding, in addition to the lack of follow through on the day of, make it impossible for me to recommend 12 Baskets. read more

I don't like to give terrible reviews , but there is no other choice in this case. Me and my wife decided we wanted to do breakfast for our wedding , and initially twelve baskets was very excited and helpful...fast forward eight months four days till our wedding and we had still not received a finalized quote or menu...to say the least my wife was stressed already and did not need the extra grief of worrying about if they were going to come through. Finally three days before we got everything finalized. The food was average, we were told numerous times by numerous people that we would have whole waffles , we only got quarter waffles and THE WORST thing is that my wife is gluten free and were promised gluten free waffles for her and her father...they were Eggo waffles out of the box. Sad and there were other issues with communication in regards to the time they were supposed to leave and the tip and etc.etc....I want to believe this was an isolated incident , but none the less they need to be held accountable and the fact they didn't offer to compensate us for our troubles didn't help me change my mind read more

Twelve Baskets catered our rehearsal dinner and they did a fantastic job! Vita and her crew handled all aspects professionally and carefully, and I always received a quick response to my many questions. I was particularly concerned about the timing, as our venue had no kitchen, but Vita assured me that all the food would be hot and ready, and she was right! Savannah and the on-site staff were all very responsive, attentive, professional. There are lots of menu options to choose from--we ended up with steak (perfectly cooked!), salmon, grilled vegetables, and berry shortcakes to show off all the wonderful PNW flavors. Twelve Baskets happened to be the caterer for my best friends wedding back in 2009, so I was happy to find them listed as a vendor for the wedding venue I had selected this past Aug (Sander's Estate). We did a tasting with another caterer just to get some comparison, but at the end of the day, we just liked Twelve Baskets food and presentation better, so we booked them. It was an incredibly good decision!!! Every single guest I've talked to since commented on how great the food was...Including picky eaters, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. It made me feel so good and so proud to have hosted such an event for 180 friends and family, and to have everything go seamlessly; not to mention absolutely classy... The food and staff from Twelve Baskets was an enormous contribution to the night, and I'm ever grateful for their outstanding work and professionalism; they really took care of us and helped to make our wedding day one of the best days of my life. read more

Twelve Baskets catered my son's wedding and it turned out to be a horrific experience. The food was not as it had been presented at the tasting & parts of the meal were inedible. We could not have been more disappointed. Spoke to the owner for over a half hour following the ceremony - he could not come up with a plausible reason for their failure. Ended up taking some food items off the bill, but a wedding is a one-time-shot & it was just too little too late. read more

We had a wonderful experience working with Twelve Baskets for our wedding. We worked with Vita over the course of 8+ months to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Vita was amazing and responded to all of our endless e-mails within hours. We met with her in Kirkland to do a tasting and she came out to the venue to walk around and make sure she knew exactly how we wanted everything placed. We worked with the caterer for our tables, chairs, linens, etc which was made everything easier for us. Vita worked with us to put together a perfect Northwest menu that we felt reflected the theme of our wedding. We provided our own alcohol, but they stored it for us so it was the perfect temperature and brought it to the venue so we didn't have to worry about it. We received many compliments on the food. The servers and bartenders were fantastic as well. We even had two beers waiting for us as soon as we walked back down the aisle! My wife and I took some photos during the cocktail hour and the servers even brought us appetizers and drinks to eat and drink in between our photos which we so appreciated. We had three different bars and they really took the time to make sure each bar looked beautiful. Our dessert table was amazing as well. They do an incredible job and pay attention to detail to make sure everything is in just the right place. We had our tables set up in a grove (in between trees) and they did a phenomenal job ensuring that it looked absolutely magical. At the end of the night, they packed up the leftovers and a full dinner for us. It was so good, even the second time around. Rudest caterers I've ever dealt with. Disorganized and ridiculous. Who counts on wedding party "volunteers" and yells at those volunteers that do show up. I understand that catering a wedding is stressfull but there is no reason to a) run out of food and b) not bring enough staff. I'll start of by saying that I didn't actually use this caterer - because they would never get back to me. Actually, they told me they WOULDN'T get back to me because my wedding was too far away for them to even give me an estimate. They started right off by saying they didn't fit in my price range I gave on my quote request from their website, but then they gave me an "average" per guest price that clearly fit within my price range with the amount of guests I was planning on having. Then I replied saying that the number they gave me fit within my budget and I would like a formal estimate because I was still interested in using them. I got a response that sounded excited at the beginning but then there was a postscript saying that because my wedding was a year away, they wouldn't be responding to me very quickly ... about 2 months later, I still have not received even a rough estimate. First off, this person is just a bad salesperson as she told me initially that they didn't fit my budget when they clearly did and then because they told me they wouldn't be responding to me anytime soon. So basically, how I and probably most people would read that is they don't want my business. Secondly, I had TONS of different caterers give me full and formal estimates within a couple days of my request even though my wedding was "too far away" according to Twelve Baskets. read more

Vita was so responsive to every email and phone call and made all of the changes we requested to the menu quickly. She was so incredibly helpful as we perfected our menu. The food was delicious! Best catering service ever; I would recommend them to anyone! We hired twelve baskets for my son's first birthday party as we were having 60 people at our house. From the planning stages to final touches, twelve baskets was so easy to work with and really put forth tremendous effort to make sure that the party was a success. They set up everything so that it was ready to go on time, tended bar, cleaned up and packaged leftovers (what little was left since it was so delicious!) I was really pleased with my experience having them cater our corporate function. Brandi was able to be totally flexible within our incredibly tight budget but was still able to incorporate all of the things I wanted, including last minute additions. The staff came prepared and did a fantastic job setting up and the table scapes were a cool way to present all of the food. A big fear of mine is running out of food, but there was no chance of that. People were able to get seconds and everything was hot and delicious. I'm all about the little details and they just really nailed all of my expectations. I did a big cupcake display and without asking there were paper plates and cellophane placed on the table at the end of the evening so people could take them home. I would recommend them for an event from a professionalism, flexibility and cost perspective. I had been working with another well-known caterer for my daughter's wedding. The menus were inflexible and I always had to prompt the planner to get me information she had promised. I realize it was a small event for them, but it was a big event for us! I finally gave up trying to make it work. I called Twelve Baskets on a recommendation from our florist and was lucky to secure our date with them. Vita was so wonderful! Always prompt and menu selection was phenomenal. It was a sit down dinner for 24 and the bride and groom were able to select different sides for each entree. Vita had great suggestions and the staff on the day of the wedding - I cannot say enough about how friendly and accommodating they were! As soon as I met them, I knew we were in good hands and I could relax and enjoy our guests. Everyone loved their dinners and the displays for the hors d'oeuvres and bar were amazing. I am the mother of the Bride. We just had a wedding and Twelve Baskets Catering was fantastic. The food was wonderful. The bride and groom decided on a BBQ theme and TBC did a outstanding job. Guests were going back for seconds and thirds on the chicken, beans, potatoe salad and the corn bread was out of this world. If I could get them to give me the recipe it would be great! The bartendars were just great to work with as was the other staff members. They were asked to stay with no hesitency whatsoever. They cleaned up as if they had never been there. The pricing for the quality of food provided was more than reasonable....actually beyond reasonable. I was really surprised at the qualtity. BTW, they did a dessert bar of sorts for the cake table and we had so many people comment on the lovely shortcake shooters, peanut butter cookies and the brownies. We also had so much food left over. This is my first ever Yelp review. As far as online reviewing goes, I find it to be mainly a passive aggressive waste of time. If I have an issue with a business, I let them know in the moment in a constructive way; and inversely if I want to praise an establishment, I also prefer to do it in the moment. But there are not enough hours in the day to tell everyone about how great the people at Twelve Baskets are! As a disclaimer, I am the former Operations Manager for 12B (as we called it informally) so take that with a grain of salt, please. But they also catered my wedding as well and it was for a lack of a better word, magical. Chef Tim is an extremely accomplished chef and so even-tempered that he was often seen as the eye of the storm even in the most stressful of situations. The sales team, Vita and Desi were not just consummate professionals but both had the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever met in a professional sales setting. The event leads, especially Scott and Jerry, were always at the very top of their game and frankly great people to begin with. And finally, my praise goes out to the entire Bagge family most notably John and Jamie who run the company. I didn't always see eye to eye every day with the other members of leadership at Twelve Baskets (like all situations it was full of ups and downs and to not mention that would only make the integrity if my review suspect) but there wasn't a single moment where they would not stop the world to listen to my concerns.
