Amazing salon. All the workers were so friendly and vibrant! Specifically the woman I was working with- Judy. She was so sweet and skilled! I went from black hair with washed out ombre to silver during my visit. Judy worked so tirelessly to ensure that I got what I wanted. She even stayed overtime to cut and style my hair as an added bonus! She is such a hardworking, sweet woman. She was an amazing conversationist as well! (and never to the point that it was excessive). I paid so cheap to get my hair done so wonderfully by Judy. She is so lovely, kind, and reasonable with her prices (frankly, the cheapest I've seen in all of Fresno!) She was so keen on achieving what I wanted that she called me multiple times the day before to ensure that she was buying the perfect toner and bleach for my desired look! I have to say I have been seeing Andrea DeFonseka for sometime now. If anyone out there wants a person with patients,understands your needs, has a Great Personality and makes you feel beautiful about yourself. She is the one to ask for at Urban Chic Salon. She does fantastic work and very reasonable. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she did it. Yes exactly like the picture it even looked better then the picture. Its in a big plaza, next to Sals Mexican restaurant. Setting up the appointment was easy as well. You basically go on the website and request an appointment and a stylist messages you. I made an appointment with Bridget, an Urban Chic stylist, knowing nothing about her or the salon. When I arrived I was greeted right away, loved the vibe of the Salon and did not have to wait but 5 minutes to see Bridget. She was warm, comfortable to talk to, interested in what I was looking to do and honest about how she envisioned my change. I made a future appointment for my very long dark hair to be a-line cut and we were both excited. She is very talented, loves what she does, does not offer unrealistic expectations and is a true pleasure to talk to and work with. It turned out amazing and I felt like a new women. Today I had my hair done professionally for the first time in almost 3 years. I'm getting married soon and had a very particular look in mind for my color. Brandy listened to exactly what I wanted, and executed it with the finesse of a goddess. This is my third time getting a Brazilian Blow out and my second time going to Andrea, I will never go to anyone else. She is absolutely awesome when it comes to explaining the process and the aftercare, even answering my questions after I leave the salon. This was also my first time going to Urban Chic and was very impressed with the friendliness and service of the place. I do not trust just anyone with my hair! It's unmanageable and if not rightly tamed, it can be hell for me, for years. I was connected by a great hair stylist with Andrea and I am hands down impressed by such a great stylist. I am not kidding when I tell you that I have been going to see Karen since I was about 10 years old. I have very thick hair and live a very active lifestyle, and Karen is always able to give me a style that is cute yet very easy to maintain! I've long since moved from Fresno and tried a few other salons, but every time I end up taking a trip back home to have Karen fix my hair for me. Went into another salon for an ombré and was told that they wouldn't be able to lighten my hair how I wanted it, which was true, my hair was not how I wanted it and really patchy, just all wrong!! The salon is very clean, easy parking, comfy seating. My tech Bridget Monte has always done a fabulous job with my thick, long, color free hair. No fuss, no selling. Just wonderful shampoo massages, great products, expert cutting. She turns my thick locks into manageable waves.
