I ordered a $480 white orchid plant for my Aunts Funeral. The order I gave included specific delivery instructions: The arrangement was to go to the funeral home Thursday before the Saturday service to be there for the viewing and the family. I did not know until well after the funeral that they were not delivered to the funeral home Thursday, they were actually delivered Friday to the back of the church. The flowers never made it to the alter or to the family. The florist blamed the church but that wasn't where they were to be delivered. The next week I contacted the owner, she apologized and refunded my card. She said the Orchid was at the church still, and the church staff just didn't put them on the alter. She refunded me for the cost of the flowers. I naturally assumed the church would at least have the plant, and I thought that was the end of it. Very disappointed, but she made it sort of right. What I didn't know until recently, is that she actually went to the church office and picked up the flowers, then shockingly, she charged the church! So my family never received the flowers or knew that I had sent them. Twiggs delivered them to the wrong place on the wrong day. Twiggs blamed the church who was NOT the responsible for this. Twiggs actually charged the church for the flowers AND took the flowers back! I have been the recipient of Twiggs arrangements for years, many of my friends and family use them, but this was handled so wrong I will never use them again. read more

The team did florals for our micro-wedding during the pandemic in 2020 and absolutely knocked it out of the park, and most recently I worked with Daniel (who was totally lovely) to create a Mother's Day arrangement for my mom--I asked them to make their floral interpretation of one of my mom's oil paintings, and what they put together was truly so thoughtful and artistic. For some reason, even though the store was full of employees and had zero other customers, the lady seemed most interested in telling us other places we should go that have cheaper prices or more selection, instead of telling us what they had to offer. Once again, Twiggs to the rescue! We had a death in the family with a funeral that followed very shortly after. I called to see if they could accommodate a casket overlay in a day and a half and they did. Not only were they professional, but they were empathetic and heartfelt when discussing our ideas and needs for the arrangement. Don't order your flowers here! On and off for years I have ordered flowers here for various occasions, but I'm through with this business. I ordered flowers for my assistant, on the occasion of Administrative Assistant's Day. I called on Monday for a Wednesday delivery. I specified that I would like a $75 arrangement with bright flowers. Today, I waited all day for the flowers to arrive. I called at 2:30 and was told that they were on their way. At 4:30 I called back and was told that the flowers had been delivered between 1 and 2, but because -- according to the deliver man -- the door was locked (there was about 15 minutes this afternoon when the office was unoccupied and the door was locked), he dropped the flowers off in another office in our building. So, obviously the person I spoke to at 2:30 actually didn't know what she was talking about. Or the delivery guy is not being truthful. Hard to tell. Of course, by the time I'd located the flowers my admin had gone home for the day. To top it all off, what a sad, anemic looking arrangement. Very small container, flowers already slightly brown around the edges. Not exactly the "bright colors" I had specifically requested. Don't order flowers here. Find someplace else with better customer service that's not as pricey. read more

So happy to have found such an excellent florist in Sacramento and one that's not too far from home either. I was looking to surprise my girlfriend and stopped by on a weekday afternoon after work. It helped that there were a handful of spaces in the small parking lot out front though the street parking wouldn't be a problem either in the area. My husband started using Twiggs when a friend of a friend started working there; she's an artist by trade so he figured she could serve something pretty. My next bouquet was truly unique and a little mindblowing. It was bursting with exotic color, lush leaves and artistic twig accents, all exploding out of a wire-wrapped vase. The arrangement was pretty, (not secured to the vessel as I was told it would be.) but the process was painful. You're only as good as the people you leave in charge. (Wes, really needs to come out of retirement.) This is a cute little shop, but it definitely needs managerial help. Realistic expectations need to be set, and then people won't be disappointed. When you overpromise and under deliver, especially on timing and estimates, you set yourself up for failure, and poor reviews. In a nutshell, I received my arrangement 2 months and two day's after the initial meeting, where I was told I'd receive an estimate within 3-4 day's, and roughly 10 day's to completion. (I finally received an estimate the day I went to pick up my arrangement.) A lot of miscommunication between the employee's and what the protocol is for faux arrangements. The arrangement I had made should never have taken the two months. (It's that simple.) Especially, when I was told, "You're the next one in line." I recommend hiring a strong, competent and highly organized person as your shop manager because the issues (especially the poor communication) were non "Covid" related, as was told to me. Sadly, my confidence in Twiggs is sub-par. :-( read more

I spoke with staff (owner?) who quickly stated they were fresh, a type of rose that is suppose to look like that and in three-five days would open fully and be "beautiful." She was quite forceful with her response, did not acknowledge my disappointment, had to ask twice for my statement. Overall, very poor customer service. I normally do not right reviews. Today, on Valentine's Day I went by Twiggs to pick up an order of flowers for my wife. Unfortunately, my order was not there. To look for the flowers, at least three employees and the owner, Wes for about ten minutes, but to no avail. Wes felt bad and asked if they could deliver a newly created floral arrangement. However, my wife wanted me to personally deliver the flowers. So, Wes took an arrangement and recreated to what my wife wished for. Within 5 minutes or less my wife's flower arrangement was completed. I went to pay. Wes told me I owed nothing. I did not expect that. I was very surprised. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR........... Twiggs is a bit more pricey than the "typical" floral design shops/florist, but they aren't typical. I have received several arrangements from Twiggs and have sent many more. I have never been disappointed. Their flowers are always fresh, full and they use beautiful varieties of flowers that you don't see everywhere else. If you want a dozen Mums, go to the supermarket. If you want floral design and originality - go with Twiggs. I love Twiggs and if possible, never use any other florist. They are top notch. read more
