I badly needed a haircut following the COVID-19 shutdown. PJ's expert hands trimmed it just right. Highly recommend.

I took a chance on this barbershop and the barber named PJ and haven't regretted it.

I had been going to Sports Clips for years down South and was excited to see one open in Mt. Airy,…read moreand they did a good job when they first opened. My son & I called it a spa-day for men. After getting the same haircut for over 2 years, a #1 or 2 on the sides, 2 in the back and scissor cut the top, they put a #1 guide comb across my son's entire head, which was way too short. All of his hair was the same short length, and the comb was never switched. When we said something, the workers ganged up on us, saying that not all combs are the same and that there was no way to tell if another, longer length comb (#2) was used on top or not. After paying in full, we haven't been back in over a year, and doubtful we will ever go back unless we know that the management and personnel have changed. Bad haircut and terrible customer service.

Never been to Sports Clips in the past and the one time I have gone was only saved thanks to the…read moreangel who was working that day. I was a walk-in so I figured it would the be the typical barbershop experince however I found myself waiting in excess of 45mins for a cut that only took 15mins all due to the front desk ladies not being present though I could hear them laughing and snickeing in the back in what I assume is the managers office or break room. Luckily Sarah was very aware of my long wait time and very apologetic for her co-workers (which is sad btw) and did an excellent job of making sure I & the other customers felt seen and heard though her co-workers fail todo the same. I asked if there were anyone else assisting her that day and she informed me "yes but I am unsure what they are doing at the moment". I watched this woman cut 3 heads in the time it took for her co-workers to finally come out the back and ask "who's next". But there was no next as Sarah had already killed it solo. Whats the point of staffing a business if the workers arent going to actually work? And yes there was a manager on duty I was told her name is Allison but from her demeanor and lack to assist her co-workers I couldnt tell. I hope she gets some actual help and soon before she wises up and leaves. The place is called "Sports Clips" after all. Wheres the damn team work???
