My family and I have been going to Truck's Barber for 25 years or more. They are like family to us. Truck and Tina have been doing an outstanding job each and every time we have stopped in. They were located in Laurel, Maryland and recently moved to their new location in Mt. Airy. The new shop is very nice, with ample space between the waiting chairs and a bright, modern interior. Their service is worth the extra drive I make and their prices are still under $20. The new location is easy to find, right off RT 70 on RT 27. The ambiance of the shop is impeccable--clean, stylish, and exuding a cool vibe that instantly puts you at ease. My grandfather and I have been going to Truck's shop in laurel every couple months for a few years and my grandfather even longer. Whenever we walk in, ready to get our haircuts, we are greeted and treated like family. Today was the first time we went to this new location, and it's very snazzy and clean. Easy parking for handicap and non-handicap folks and easily wheelchair accessible. Mind that if you're a previous customer coming from laurel it is a longer drive, but I ended up taking 650 to 97 to i70 (the route I tend to ride my motorcycle, minus i70) and is very fun/nice to drive. read more

Best barbershop in Mt. Airy. Truck, the barber is a real pro. Not only is he highly skilled with the clippers, but he's also super friendly and takes the time to listen to what you want. The haircut itself was perfect! It was exactly what I pictured, and Truck was meticulous throughout, taking his time to get all the details right. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. We have been in Woodbine for 6 years and have tried at least 10 barbers for my sons, so my hair stylist recommended Trucks which recently opened in Mt Airy. Small world! He has cut my father in law's hair for years and my husband's when he was in Laurel, so we had to go and give it a shot for my 12 year old. According to my son, this was the best haircut he has had since moving to Woodbine. We will definitely be back. Truc took his time and made sure my son left there looking his best. The place is clean and new. The owner, Truck, is very welcoming and friendly. I have thick and heavy hair so not many places are able to cut and style it properly. I told him how I want it cut and how short I want it to be. Truck was thorough and would go back and forth between different tools to make sure it was done correctly. When it was over, he asked me if this is what I want or does he need to touch up anywhere. They definitely provided great service. I will come back again. read more

Got a low fade and she did an amazing job, she paid attention to detail, was very efficient and super welcoming.
