Best hamburgers and fried catfish in town. The atmosphere is true southern hospitality.

What a refreshing change from canned sauces and tired pasta dishes! My party of three stopped by…read moreJoe's for lunch on the recommendation of a fellow patron at the nail salon. Boy was she right! "Good food and affordable prices," she said. We started with a house salad and garlic rolls. The usual iceberg greens, red onion, cheese, and good dressing made each tasty. Tea was flavorful, too. I had cannelloni with meat, cheese, and spinach. Oh, my! Another of our party had shrimp Alfredo with rich sauce and plump shrimp. The lasagna was spot on and all were sized, piping hot portions even for lunch. All were around $10.99. Surprise, we dined for less than $50 including tip. Wow! Gentie, the owner's nephew came around to check on us and visit sharing stories about his recent visit home to Italy. Delightful young man! There were loads of dessert offerings, but our to-go plates evidenced no room for any. We will DEFINITELY return to Joe's. I cannot wait to share an experience with my family.

I went with a fairly large group, and we all ordered some type of pasta dish. Our pasta was all mushy and overcooked, and the flavor of my piccata tasted off, like the wrong ratio of ingredients was used. The waiter tried his best, but he seemed extremely confused while taking our orders though everything came out without a problem.

We should have walked out when saw glass door that was so dirty with finger prints and everything else u hardly could see inside. Saw a few takeout orders come in and out so we reluctantly then Ordered food at counter to then be told after sitting down they were out of what I ordered so I had to order something different. Sat down at table which was so sticky my forearms stuck to it, napkin holder on table was so dusty my finger left mark when drug it across it. Place looked like it had never been cleaned or updated in years. Lights above had bugs galore in lightcover, floors/baseboards dirty, fans above on their last leg/blades. Windows also needed cleaning. By then I still wanted to walk out but I needed to see what the food was like. Trying to give benefit of doubt. Service very slow, looked short staffed. Hoping they washed hands at some point no gloves used with server taking orders, collecting money and touching food/cooking in plain view. When food arrived it looked ok until I tasted the coleslaw it was very bad, looked discolored and tasted old needless to say didn't eat it after one bite, my husband spit his out, then came the fried fish, I wasn't impressed no flavor parts of fish was just batter no meat, also the batter didn't stay on onion rings so as soon as u picked them up batter would fall off onion, Hush puppies tasted old not fresh, definitely frozen great value brand or worse. Didn't finish our meal and that's not like my husband he always finishes. Everything tasted same probably fried all in same grease. Still can't believe we stayed and (ate what we could)of the food. I hope they improve if read this, we like to support local businesses that's why we decided to try COUNTRY BOYS but unfortunately we won't be back. I should've read reviews before I went , last review was awhile back not sure what happened ugh

Glad we ate in; I shudder to think what it would've been like if we got it to go. I would go back for the onion rings, but that's about it. Bare but clean ambiance. Could be a great place again, but freshly cooked food is a prerequisite.
