Latte with breve (half & half)

Here's another Emma reviewer! My partner Sean and I met Jen and her little helper at the Twin Cylinder coffee camper parked near the train stop at Esther Short Park. We had just moved into the neighborhood from out of state and found out that our things wouldn't arrive for another week, so it gave us the perfect opportunity to discover the neighborhood and lean on the talented offerings of great local businesses like this one! I am known to be a coffee snob and a delirious troll in the morning. It makes me wake up with a smile when espresso is served smooth and delicious like Jen's coffees! They serve Stumptown. This place can't be found on Google maps. It's a worthwhile treasure of a discovery. Go find it. You won't be disappointed.

Love finding new coffee in the Vancouver area! This coffee cart is very clean and trendy. Delicious coffee, cocoa, tea and pastries! Very nice people working there. Portland isn't the only one with good coffee :)

I'm so happy I found this place! They were out giving free coffees at Vancouver downtown which made many people's days. I had an oat milk latte which was so good and definitely specialty coffee. These guys really know what there doing!

Hand-made from start to finish! Russ and Julie are awesome owners with a real passion for what they do. You can expect great coffee and a good conversation when you visit, they're located at turtle place by C-Tran and the spot is beautiful! You'll love everything about this brand and the people behind it!

The man, the myth, the legend! Russ!

Amazingly wonderful coffee made by the sweetest young ladies who (respectfully) stopped working for the National Anthem and Prayer...

I popped in on a weekday morning and it was bustling with people. The line wasn't long and I got helped quickly. The person taking my order was friendly and offered solid information comparing their chai to the London fog. He proceeded to ask me about my day and seem like he actually cared. I wasn't sticking around, but there were open tables. Things were clean. They also have plenty of room to sit outside if you'd like. There are pastries and some cold drinks in a case. There aren't a lot of gluten free options, but they did have one muffin I could have had. The drink preparation takes a bit of time. There were people already waiting and many of their drinks have special preparations (pour overs, steeping the tea). Have a minute to wait. I had the London Fog and the baristas advice held true. The flavor was worth the wait and I will surely go back. They roast their own coffee and make you feel welcome. Plus, there's a bookstore across the street. Love all around.

The café offers plenty of seating and feels bright and welcoming, thanks to its corner location with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The owner is from Tanzania, and the mission of the business is to serve the local community with high-quality African coffee beans. Part of the profits go back to Africa to support coffee workers and help improve living conditions in their communities. Their signature drink is the Zanzibar spiced coffee, which I featured in my photo. It's infused with a blend of warm spices that makes it truly unique. The coffee I ordered was a lighter roast, with a pleasant hint of acidity as you sip it. They also have three different food options with African bread. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to share the story behind the coffee shop, which makes the experience even more meaningful.

Lexi was running the show, and it was genuinely impressive to watch. She treated every customer with warmth and attentiveness while somehow keeping everything moving seamlessly behind the scenes. Even during the quieter moments, she stayed busy, focused, and engaged with the space around her. That kind of work ethic and customer care stands out. The coffee itself was unique and memorable; not your average coffee shop experience, and the zucchini bread was off the charts! Add in the great ambience and welcoming atmosphere, and this place is an easy recommendation. You can tell when people genuinely care about what they do, and today that showed in every part of the experience.

The shop itself is definitely on the smaller side with only a few places to sit inside, so it feels more like an in-and-out coffee stop versus somewhere you're going to spend hours working or hanging out. They do serve lunch items along with pastries and coffee, and when I walked in there were a few locals standing around watching TV which gave it a casual neighborhood vibe. I ordered a large cold brew and a pecan bar from the pastry case. The cold brew was actually really good -- strong, smooth, and definitely woke me up. The pecan bar, though, wasn't my favorite. It tasted a little aged/stale and unfortunately didn't really hit the mark for me (especially when you grow up spoiled by homemade pecan bars ). Service was okay but not particularly warm or welcoming. More of a "take your order and keep it moving" type of atmosphere. Nothing rude, just not overly friendly either. All in all, still a decent little coffee stop if you're nearby and need caffeine, but with so many coffee shops in the area, I'm excited to continue exploring and see what else Vancouver has to offer
