This theatre has been around since I was a child. One of the treasures of Port Lavaca, Tx. Long may it last.

I just had a great experience at the Cinemark 12 Theater in Victoria, Texas. I went to see the…read more'Melania' movie which was great. The scenes from the inaugural balls were beautiful. I am glad to know that heaven will be a million times grander than that. Anyway, the reason for the review is that my husband and I were well treated by the staff-everyone was professional and very friendly. Most importantly, I left my prescription glasses which must have fallen from my purse when I reached for my cellphone to make sure it was turned off prior to the movie. I knew they had to be left at the theater when I could not find them. I thought they would be thrown away but decided to go back and ask if they had a lost and found. A very nice young man asked if my glasses were all black and I said yes. He said, "Just a moment," and went and got my glasses and brought them back to me. I am so grateful. My glasses are only a few weeks old and I really need them. So, I highly recommend this theater! Thank you so much for not throwing away my glasses! Respectfully, Vanessa

I have removed 1 star due to the unfortunate experience I had via their expensive hotdog. This is a warning to everyone here.. the banh mi hotdog tastes like a**. omgagod... it literally tastes like evil. I have never had anything like it, and I've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants in my life. It's not only the pickled veggies on it that seemed to have marinated in something really awful, but it's the weird smoked? flavor given to the hotdog. I considered sending it back but opted to just make the best of the movie. Do you like the hotdog? If so I'd like you to post an opposing review because I can't imagine someone enjoying it. And since I am here... I get the gratuity is included but the wait staff never came back to clear dishes, and maybe it's because they will only come if you press the button? If that's the case it was not communicated to us, and when the wait staff went by us to serve our neighbors maybe it would be a good practice to check in quickly with other people in the row while they're there? That's it. Will return. Will never order hot dog again.

This is a large gallery space that showcases a variety of local artists. The upstairs area was dedicated to a specific artist while the downstairs was a mix. All the art was for sale. There was also a small gift shop (saw a few cute items). Finally, a small but lovely sculpture garden outside. As usual, the art is hit or miss (subjective, obviously) but as an artist myself, I always appreciate the promotion of local artists. It really feels like the focus here is to promote artists and encourage artistic community. Love that there is no entrance fee especially since I have two small children so you never know how quickly they'll get bored or cranky. We sometimes have to leave abruptly or move quickly. No fee helps a lot. Staff was very friendly.

Brand spanking new,it replaces the small original arts center in the marina, destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. This is an impressive structure for a small town. Built to withstand hurricane conditions, the cement and steel piers go down 60 feet to hit bed rock. The two story modern structure is archetectally appealing, roomy, comfortable and operated by a caring staff. 3 large galleries with one dedicated to local artist . Don't miss this treasure if you're in Rockport. Go!
