My first visit was in person and we were so impressed I could not wait to share this spot with my brother, who lived abroad and was always looking for an authentic dish. I ordered take out Mapo Tofu and garlic eggplants was so excited for this meal, but it was terrible- even the hot and sour soup was just wrong. Here's the photos to compare. It's so disappointing. Excellent meal!! We are so happy that there's a great Chinese restaurant which just opened near us. We had 3 dinner specials which included egg rolls and soup (approx $11 each) and all 3 of us (Chinese food snobs) really enjoyed our meals! Don't believe the hype. The food here was below average. The pork fried rice was bland. The egg rolls were soggy. The dumplings seemed like the same pre-made ones that most of the local Chinese restaurants use. The worst part is that the combo plates are more expensive than other establishments and the amount you get is less. Tried this place because of the high reviews, like someone else said don't believe the hype. Ordered lo mein, not the combo because I didn't want rice. Came with rice anyway. Wings have some strange spice, like clove or allspice; either way it's not good. Hot and sour soup went right in the garbage. Chicken Szechuan was not spicy, and had no flavor. Had dinner there the other night, It has been redecorated it was cute, it was clean. However the food is lacking in flavor. It was very bland no seasoning. I hung up and called back. She tried to put me on hold again. I said I've been there twice already don't do it again, and then she said they were backed up an hour and a half and they were too busy or some other excuse and couldn't take my order. We found this restaurant by chance after reading an article about new Treasure Coast restaurants just opening. This restaurant has been open for a couple of months under new managements. We have been in search of good American Chinese food from palm beach gardens to Stuart with no success. What a find!! First of all, it is extremely clean. Secondly, the food is very fresh and very high quality ingredients. There is beer/wine selections and the glass of Sauvignon blanc that I had was decent. The chicken dumplings were homemade and were not fRozen or from a package Hot sour soup was excellent and again froM fresh ingredients edients. My husband loves the pepper steak with onions ! They use fresh vegetables. I've gotten the hot and sour soup with fresh mushroom.... not the usual canned ... very tasty! My favorite is the chicken lettuce wraps ... all freshly cut red pepper, green pepper and scallions. The extra sauce is delicious. Moved to Martin County three years ago. Could not find a good Chinese restaurant. Until now. Twin Dragons greets you with courteous/friendly staff. Menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. But the best feature is the food. Veggies are crisp an tender. Flavors are to die for. And this is a new thing. I ordered kung pao chicken and was asked if I wanted it hot spicy or medium or mild. Food is excellent, one of the best Chinese cuisine restaurants in my 3 decades of living in South Florida. However, dining in is risking your health and your life. They are NOT following CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Have eaten here 3 times during the pandemic and with exception of an older server in her 40s or 50s, the rest of the staff do not wear masks. I have witnessed a gentleman, possibly the chef/owner not wear a mask, shake hands with customers not wearing masks and they he returns to the back kitchen area w/o washing his hands. Dining room is spaced out so distancing is not an issue - until the younger gentleman decides to speak with friends who have dropped w/o masks and they stand next to your table while you're trying to eat. This prompted me to stop eating and don my mask in an attempt to protect myself. Server noticed this and inquired if I was finished. When I told her why i put my mask back in place, she did ask the younger gentleman and his friends to move away from my area. However, they proceeded to talk about me. Like previously indicated, food is excellent but respect for customers is not. I won't ne going back. read more
