A nice place to stay, clearly in the middle of renovation. They literally added the curtains to the "family room" while we were in there hanging out, which was entertaining. The staff are all funny and accommodating. It looks like the owner could invest a little more, as it stands the fences are all kinda broken and the dock is a lawsuit waiting to happen. They guide you to your site AND have a dinner menus starting at 5:30pm that includes steak and shrimp plates as well as hamburgers and a kids menu that they will deliver to your site! We had the steak and shrimp and the steak was cooked perfect! The shrimp was so yummy. We were not disappointed in our plates at all!!! Yeah, some sites were a bit tight but I've been in worse. Easy in and out, easy to and from freeway, they have a pool and playground (don't have kids and didn't use the pool), they have bathrooms and laundry but we didn't use either of them. They have a cute little store at the office and it was decently quiet over night. There is a highway it's close to but at night the traffic is very minimal. Didn't hear any trains or planes. I was only going to give them four stars. But then I couldn't find a reason why not give them the last one. We found the staff to be very friendly, they took us to our site immediately and we couldn't be happier. The pool is a lot cleaner than the one we stayed at in Winnemucca. My daughter said it was awesome. The bathrooms are super awesome and you have your own private shower. We had a 40 foot site with full hook ups and personal lawn. Sunsets were incredible. We decided to cancel our other Quelway campground reservation on our return trip, and booked here again. read more

We are regular RV'ers. I made a reservation online and they gladly took my deposit. I found out that i wouldn't be able to make the reservation, so emailed as soon as that happened. NO reply so I then called and was spoken to nothing short of rude. She denied any refund and blamed it on KOA's policy. I didn't appreciate the tone much less the unhelpful customer service. So even tho I have paid for a full nights stay, I wouldn't want to go and stay. read more

This is a lovely KOA. We camped here in our motorhome, but due to some mechanical problems, we also stayed in one of the Kamping Kabins while the RV was being fixed at the Freightliner shop a mile down the road. The pull-through sites are long and well-shaded with plenty of trees. It is in a great location a few miles from town and great access to the interstate. The staff was super nice and very helpful. Seems like a lot of people just use this as an overnight stop and then they are off again the next morning. We found it to be a lovely park and would have stayed longer if we had things to do in the area. read more

We've stayed here a few times before while passing through the area. This time, we decided to spend a couple of nights while exploring some of the parks in the area... City of Rocks, Hagerman Fossil Beds and Craters of the Moon, just to name a few. Everyone was very friendly, the store is well-stocked and although we didn't use them, the pool and mini golf areas looked quite nice. It's not a super-large place and didn't seem to have many, if any, full-time residents. It's off the main interstate, so there's no noise coming from there, but there is some traffic noise along US 93 which can be heard. We had an end space, so we didn't have to share a front yard with anyone else, but we could see others were set up that way. The wifi was very good from our spot, but our 5G T-Mobile coverage was just as good, if not better, so we pretty much stuck with that. We'll definitely be back through, primarily as an overnight stop, but maybe a little longer if we can schedule a time when Shoshone Falls is actually flowing... (the guidebooks don't mention that the 'Niagra of the West' has its massive flow entirely diverted during the summer months. read more

Stayed here for 1 night on our way to AZ. Stayed in a 2 room cabin. Plenty of room, tv in each room, air conditioner, fridge, 2 seating/desks. Can sleep 6. Bunk beds are pretty low, can't sit up in bottom bunk. Great pool, up to 8 ft. Loved camp shop, even had mining. Only real downside is the shower and bathroom are one. read more

This place is the worst, do not stay here unless you're a fan of getting ripped off by overpriced camp sites ($42 for a crappy tent site with no shade!) and dishonest customer service. The owners, Oscar and Kim would not honor a simple request for a refund, even though their employee was at fault in misstating their policy at the time of my booking. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After their incompetent employee failed to accurately lay out their refund policy, I was stuck with a charge even though I didn't end up staying here (this is after I was explicitly told I'd receive a full refund as long as I cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation). This was not a large amount of money and should not have been a big deal but instead of offering even basic conciliatory customer service they decided to hang up on me and give me the virtual finger. Be warned, don't stay here unless you are ok with getting ripped off. I guess I do have to mention the one positive which is that after years of heavy Yelp lurking, this is the experience that was finally bad enough to get me to write a review! UPDATE: 7/23 IN RESPONSE TO THE FALSE CLAIMS IN BRIAN'S COMMENTS ABOUT THIS REVIEW So, this actually gets, worse! I saw a comment from "Brian" today and wanted to address some of the falsehoods he mentions in his response. I called the KOA to speak to Brian but Brian does not work there. I know this because I spoke to the owner, Oscar, who admitted Brian is a paid consultant (PR hack?) hired to improve the perception of this campground in their online profiles. To straighten out the lies in Brian's response: -First of all, I was never abusive to any of the staff. Persistently standing up for my own rights rather than capitulating to a heavy handed statement of policy (despite a straight up lie told to me by an employee) does not constitute abuse. I simply called back and asked to speak to the owner, I did not raise my voice or use any abusive language. The only abusiveness that occurred was 1) their stealing my money, 2) their lying about it and unwillingness to provide a refund even though it was easily in the owner's power to do so, 3) the fact that the owner hung up on me because he didn't want to talk about it anymore, and 4) the fact that they then would not pick up the phone when I tried to call back. -Second, I was never sent an email confirmation and as I mentioned in the original review, I was not told of their policy of keeping $10 of a cancelled reservation. In fact, I explicitly asked to confirm I would receive a full refund for a cancelled reservation made within a certain window (we knew our plans were still up in the air and that there was a decent chance we would need to cancel) and was told that this would not be a problem as long as I cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the reserved stay. I actually told the person on the phone I was hesitant and wouldn't book if there was a cancellation fee and was talked into booking since there was no fee and they "might run out of spots if I don't book" by the employee. Again, I hate to even be wasting my time writing this but this is not only abusive customer service, it is lying and straight up theft. I also see I am not the only person who has gone through this here (see Terry C. on 7/5/14) so I repeat my earlier warning; stay away! Though only $10, this is theft and I am considering filing a claim with the BBB. read more

Truly enjoyed our night stay at this KOA! First let's start with they texted me and thank us for coming. Gave us the WiFi password and details in the text. As minimal this may sound, you can actually text this number back and they will respond!!! A man met us at the entrance helped us to our area. The space was smaller than normal we shared a small grass area and fire pit with another Family. It wasn't so bad except we had our dogs and what if they weren't dog people. The bathrooms felt like I was back at home in a Wynn hotel room. The gift shop was cute, amenities WOW!!! Bikes, Mini golf, Gaga ball, corn hole, a great dog park with separation just in case! Right next to a pond where of course you can't swim in but that's okay... they have a pool! Let me tell you this I was grateful they had the laundry room because of my dog's "accident" on my husbands blanket. Anyways let's get back to the beautiful settings, pond, canal, late in the night you hear crickets, frogs and so many beautiful sounds, it's next to a farm so when the sun started shining (way earlier than I wanted to since we got in late, luckily they were okay with that when I texted) the birds started chirping, cow moo'in it was such an incredible and amazing setting. My family (dogs included) throughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks again see you next week on our way back home to Vegas! read more

Sadly, it was not a great stay. We reserved a Buddy Site for a trailer and tents [and have receipt to prove it]. We got in late and set up our tents. The sprinklers went on at 2am and pummeled the tents. In the morning they yelled at us for setting up tents on, what we assumed was, our Buddy Site. When I called later to complain they hung up on me. I had to dispute and have the charge refunded on my Credit Card. read more

I gave this KOA in Twin Falls a 2 because it's in a pretty location. The campground is super cramped, the electricity is flaky, and the people who work there are not what I would call "customer service oriented". Pay your money, expect to have somebody ask you to move your RV (after setting up) and where to park by the millimeter. And likely somebody will be inches from you if they pull in over night. Twin Falls KOA? Customer Service is NOT thy name. Worst KOA for me in over 30 years of RVing actually. I just thought of that because I've been a member of KOA for a gazillion years. read more

We were only there one night as we were traveling home. Our spot was water and electric only. Upon arrival I was informed that the power was out and that it should be back on at 7pm., considering it was 6:30pm that was acceptable so we proceeded and set up our trailer. Once at our spot not only did we not have electricity, we didn't have water. They don't have a back up water storage tank for this type of situation or even an emergency back up generator for the water pump on their well. So we were forced to suffer without water for a family of six, making use of the bathroom very difficult. I understand they do not have the ability to control power outages, however for a facility serving the traveling public they certainly have the control to have back up options for water. Representing the KOA name, consumers expect a certain level of experience, professionalism, quality and top rated customer service. This was not our experience. First, I wrote an email to discuss our experience without a response, so today, a week later, I phoned their office. I spoke with Liz, who represented herself as the manager, I expressed our feelings and requested a refund (i was seeking a partial refund, half of our fees). After being put on hold for a period of time she ranted a rehearsed line of excuses, claiming that I was offered a full refund at time of check in so that I could stay else where, that the power had "just" gone out once we arrived (In fact I went on Idaho power during that time for updates and the outage was reported at 5:29pm, 1 hour prior to arrival), bathrooms were working at main building (not once during our many encounters with staff that evening did any they inform our family there were working bathrooms with water). She worked herself up during her monologue that she exclaimed "you will not get a refund!" and then hung up. I called back, but as cowards act, she had my call go to voicemail. Its unfortunate that the manager lacks appropriate professionalism and cannot conduct a proper customer service conversation. They do not have the interests in making customers happy, let along retaining future business. I would second guess your stay. If you are looking for a campground that fulfills your expectations of a proper KOA, this is not that type of place. read more

We stayed here two times over the course of a year. It's a great KOA in between Poce and Boise. The spots are good enough, room to stay outside, play in the grass and have a good time. The pool is perfect in the summer. The park was great for the kids. They have a little restaurant on site, but we never took part in it. I think a ice cream social too? The shop is cute and works. The staff was always friendly and drive you to your spot. We'd stay again. The location is just perfect right there in town. Near gas, freeway, and everything else across the canyon. read more

You essentially camp on a grass setting and then park across from your car which makes for a little more planning in terms of cooking and getting your things from your car. I may have caught the showers at the wrong time in the morning but wished they'd been a little bit cleaner. Overall good stay and value when passing through. read more

I had a great experience camping here when driving through Twin Falls. It's a bit outside of the city and right next to a truck park - but it's lovely in the morning. I took a walk at sunrise and it was extremely peaceful. The facilities are clean and the camp spaces are large and fairly spread out. If you're into renting a small house, they have those on site as well. read more

Stayed for just one night, fairly typical for KOA, sites a bit more crowded than other KOA's. One star rating due the abundance of flies, couldn't sit outside and each time you would open or close RV door, 20 or 30 flies would enter RV. This wasn't a Twin Falls problem, very nice area and town seemed pest free. When leaving camp noticed a cattle feed lot both behind and across the highway from the RV park. Oscar and his wife Kim run this KOA to perfection! The staff are courteous and friendly and incredibly helpful at every level. The facilities are clean and professionally run. If you're going to stay anywhere as you come through Jerome, Idaho or live in the surrounding area and you just want a pleasant place to camp where you can enjoy birds chirping in the morning and well-maintained campground then this is the place for you! I choose my RV camps by these criteria: safety, location, bathrooms & showers. Twin Falls is five star by all three measures. They have seven individual locking bathrooms, beautifully tiled, with shower, toilet and sink all to yourself, a changing table, plenty of hot water, and that rare campground amenity: privacy. There are lots of well-behaved dogs and happy dog-owners here, and a little dog park for playing with them. Kid park too. grass, picnic table, and a well-grown cottonwood or willow at every space. Peaceful at night with wind in the cottonwoods and birds settling down...I will come back any time! there are two areas where the camp could improve, but they didn't mean much to me. I'll mention them in case they are relevant for you! First, as of 5/2018 the state is doing road work outside the entrance. It just means the last 50 feet of access road is dirt. And second, the free Wi-Fi is not secure. As a result my security-conscious Apple wouldn't allow me to access my email site and most other sites. Fortunately I carry my own portable hot spot for moments like these, so no harm, no foul. But the camp should consider securing their network. read more

The owner of this roadside KOA outside Twin Falls Idaho could use a class on what the value of people skills when owning a service oriented business. The spot itself was nice, but I felt bad for the campers that faced a fairly busy highway. I've stayed in KOA's before and they were pretty secluded and private. Not this one. This is a bad KOA all around. Made a reservation for that night through what I thought was the KOA 800 reservation line for Polson Montana. It was the 800 # for KOA Twin Falls Idaho which is 500 miles south of Polson, Montana. No one in Twin Falls bothered to tell me it was Twin Falls not Polson even though I stated I was in Canada at the time. Twin Falls refused a refund and staff was very rude. Wrote a letter of complaint to KOAs corporate headquarters and never received an answer. WATCH OUT FOR THESE PEOPLE. read more

The campground itself seemed pretty run down... and it smelt very badly of cow poo. They definitely pack you in like sardines too. Bathrooms were clean, the camper and 10 sites were normal KOA style. Stayed there for two nights with no incidences. They have a small store on site, in the pool. But, the pool was closed, so call ahead of time to see if it is open. Some more secluded campsites in the north west corner of the campground with tall trees in a creek running right behind it. Nothing bad to say about it, just a normal KOA campground. It was clean and quiet. read more

Friendly folks. However there is a cattle pen right next-door. The flies are unbelievable. There are bees everywhere. It seems that they put the transient RVs in the smallest space they can. Made a reservation for July 9. The lady from the KOA who took the reservation assured me that my visa would not be charged as I told her I was paying cash when I got there. She also told me that if I cancelled by Tuesday I would not be charged. Well.. she LIED. My visa was charged then when I called to complain the man may as well of said "screw you" that was his attitude, and insinuated that I was lying when I told him she said she would not charge me and I could cancel by Tuesday and not get charged. I told him to cancel the reservation then they had the nerve to charge me $10.00 for cancelling. Bad business practice!!! read more

Ive stayed at my fair share of KOA's and this one lived up to what I usually expect. It had friendly staff, a clean pool, nice restrooms/showers and family activities (mini golf, ice cream social, playground, on site cafe, paddle boat and bike rentals). It is the perfect 1-2 night stay. read more

Love the fact they have a fenced in doggy play area, store, cabins are nice, and they escorted us to our site rather then our having to disconnect and hunt for it! Awful!!! Sites are way too close together. Bathrooms were under construction, mobiles were disgusting. Our friend got kicked out at check-in due to her dog being an attack breed. Make sure you ask if you have dogs!! You have to pay for the ice cream social, I'm not paying $3 for 1 scoop in Jerome ID! Pool is small,but the kids had fun. We left first thing in the morning couldn't wait. I was happier at the truck stop we stayed at on our way up to Yellowstone. Don't stay here!!! read more

This 'lovely' KOA is nestled between the stockyards on the adjoining lots. I never saw anything beautiful. But then I'm a tent camper. We're put in the back lot and ignored. The worst customer service I've have ever had! I don't like to mention any names but cough "Kim" is absolutely the worst. We called and tried to reserve 10 cabins for a family reunion and had already bought the KOA membership. (Ps: the KOA membership discount only works on one cabin a night, nothing else! ) so we call to reserve during the weekdays June 27 - July 2. My husband is in the military and we were renting a lot of cabins, so we asked if we could get a discount, because with that big of number prices get really expensive so we ask for discounts. But when I asked the response I got was "it would be foolish to even ask for a discount on the holiday weekend." I said sorry excuse me? Is not the weekend, she responded "its foolish to ask for a discount the week day or weekend of a holiday." In a not so nice tone. After I got off the phone I was so upset! I felt like excuse me for living, everyone can't be as smart as her and know when their busy time is and when those cabins were so desirable. I've never been there and am from Colorado! Needless to say I felt she goes above and beyond the way to be rude to customers. I will go out of my way to avoid going here, and I love camping so that is saying a lot! Sorry you've not only lost my money but also that of all my friends & family. Horrible experience period. read more
