    Crop duster in the evening
    James P.

Let me start off by saying that we go to the twin falls area several times a year. We have always stayed at the KOA about 8 miles away. Should be a 5 star review but we had a minor issue. This time we decided to stay at Anderson Camp. The sites were big and have a nice grass area at your front door. There is 50amp service. There was enough room in our spot for our 36 foot Rv and room for the Chevy suburban we rented. The campground overall was clean and quiet. There was some freeway noise but nothing major. The store was well stocked and had the ranch dressing we forgot to bring. Also had beer/wine/icees for the kids. We took advantage of the free pool and then paid for the mini golf and waterslide. One minor issue was the lack of supervision at the waterslide. There really should have been someone who works at the park who monitored the slide. Older kids were not waiting for the younger kids to get off the slide which resulted in my 3 year old getting kicked hard in the back from a 12 year old. Brought it to the attention of the workers who were less than concerned. I asked the kids to settle down but they refused and there were no parents around. By the lack of wrist bands on the kids who were causing the problems I assume they are locals and friends of the owners. My 10 year old was hit in the head by the same boys so I had to demand a refund. One of the workers was mouthy until she saw I was standing there listening about how she wasn't going to give me a refund. I assume it was the owner inside the store who ended up refunding the slide. As for the review about the crop duster, they were right on. But this time it was about 5 in the evening and we were outside eating dinner. It lasted about 15 minutes and the kids thought it was awesome. See picture. Over all it was a good stay and we will probably choose this place again over the KOA. Spots are definitely bigger with more grass and shade trees.

Interesting place. They have water slides, a gas station/convenience store, bathrooms, etc. with the campground. High prices.

Nice park. I would give it 5 stars but the wifi is the absolute WORST. Aside from that I like it.

With parking for only two vehicles located at GPS coordinates 42.664699, -114.674502, you'll almost feel like your lost as you pass the fish hatchery on a road named S 1950 E and enter a very narrow span of the roadway. But within seconds as you cross the short bridge and catch a glimpse of this stunning natural spring to your left, you'll know you're in the right place. After parking, walk on a short path toward the sound of rushing water and you'll be rewarded with a freshwater spring gushing forth from the earth out of a dozen different openings along a steep cliff in the Snake River Valley. It's the Niagara Falls of natural springs and certainly earns its name. But I wouldn't recommend a continued drive east on S 1950 E which only leads to a booth at the state park entrance where you'll pay a fee (US$7 for cars) for a very tiny greenspace and an uninspiring view of the Snake River. It isn't worth the price. Thankfully the springs are completely free and located just before the booth.

I checked the map and decided that Niagara Springs was the most convenient. The park is on a dirt road and down a pretty deep canyon. I had no trouble getting there in my sprinter van so unless you're in a big Class A, you should be fine. The spring itself is pretty darned cool. A huge force of water pushing it's way out of the rocks and then down to meet with the Snake River. The park has a circular loop of parking spaces and camping spots. It's so very peaceful that I decided to park for a bit and took a nap. Note that this is well below the surface level and you probably won't have any cell service here. We booked a whole week here this year just so we can enjoy the Hot Springs, full hook up camping, and tent camping. We called in May to make reservations, and the lady was quite friendly. We arrived a little bit late, and just found a parking spot to wait until they opened. When we stayed here a couple years ago it was $25 a night for full hook ups. That's right water, electric (30 amp) and sewage. The price has gone up to $35 a night. $10 a night for extra car as well as $20 for a dry camp spot. The Hot Springs/swimming pool is quite large has a slide, high dive, low dive and two Spas of varying heat. I think the hottest one was 106°F or 107°F. The average hours of this place is 10 AM to 10 PM though on certain days they don't open till noon. At the reception, they have a snack bar, pool table, a few video games, even a jukebox that plays through the whole swimming area. It is a bit rundown, but it is held me the way you like it. It's a great place for big groups and family reunions. There were 12 of us staying in a pull through campsite and there was plenty of room for all of the vehicles and three tents. We did just buy a new toy hauler, and this is the maiden voyage. It's been a great seven days.

It is clean...I hate the nasty reviews about the water being green. If you look at the water it is clear and clean, the green tint is literally the minerals that are suspended in the water, namely pyrite. They have at least two signs explaining the color of the water and the mineral build up, which I guess people don't read or believe. Whatever. Fun place for all ages.

We were able to fill out our waivers quickly and packed up our cooler and waterproof bag to meet him at the life jackets (included with the rental). Kayaks were clean, good quality and had backrests which were nice. It had storage space in the front and back of the kayak too. We paddled out to Blue Heart Springs and back.
