Our first stop: Wilson's Farm. Located about an hour from us, this place had come highly recommended, so we figured it was worth the drive. Spoiler alert: it absolutely was. When we arrived, we were immediately struck by just how massive this place is. We're talking rows and rows (and rows) of plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and greenery of every imaginable kind. If you've ever daydreamed about getting lost in a garden center, Wilson's is that dream -- in real life, with a Texas breeze and the smell of fresh soil. We wandered around for about thirty minutes, and I'll be honest -- we left empty-handed, but not because we didn't like what we saw. Quite the opposite. The selection is so extensive, we got completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. It felt a little like walking into a grocery store without a shopping list -- everything looked great, but we couldn't decide where to start. Do we want shade trees? Flowering perennials? That giant crepe myrtle that's definitely too big for our car but is calling our name anyway? What really stood out -- besides the sheer size -- were the prices. They were surprisingly reasonable. In fact, compared to some of the other nurseries we've visited recently, Wilson's offers some of the best prices we've seen. If you're working on a landscaping project and want to get the most for your money, this place is a goldmine. We didn't walk away with any plants today, but that was more on us than on Wilson's. We simply weren't prepared for the scale of the place or the number of options available. Lesson learned: next time, we're coming with a clear plan, a list, and maybe even some measurements -- because this is not the kind of nursery you casually browse. It's the kind of nursery you go to when you're ready to do work on your yard. In short: Wilson's Farm is awesome. It's huge, the prices are excellent, and the selection is just about everything you could want. Even though we left empty-handed today, we'll definitely be back -- next time with a cart, a plan, and maybe a little less wide-eyed wonder. If you're serious about landscaping -- or just love a good garden stroll -- Wilson's is 100% worth the drive. Just don't forget to bring your plant-nerd A-game!

For this class all you need is clothes that you can get paint on, they provided everything else, including a canvas, a glass of wine and snacks. The class is held in the gallery surrounded by some incredible works by local artists. The gallery itself is beautiful and inviting. Tamie holds classes in a lot of different mediums and has kids, family and couples classes too. Check them out even if you're just curious about it. She's fun to visit with and makes art a do-able hobby for anyone.

I am in Oklahoma at our lake home, when we realize on Thursday, we didn't get a canvas framed. We drove to Sherman, Texas, last Thursday to Hobby Lobby as they have a photo frame studio. They could have it done in 2 weeks. I needed it NOW for Sunday's shower. We both were exhausted and overwhelmed as time was of the essence. We turned to Yelp, and found Sparrows Gallery. One phone call and Tammy said it wasn't an issue. So I arrived in Denison, Tx, about 25 miles from our lake home on Friday morning. I arrived at 9:45, they opened at 10am, on Friday. Tammy was calm, most welcoming, genuine, sincere and most helpful. I needed to run some much needed last minute errands and returned in an hour. Our canvas was extremely beautifully framed by her amazing husband Mark. They both are incredible and so warm and friendly. They invited me to an an art showing that evening and I would have loved to attend. They have beautiful signed, numbered paintings from various artists. Mark, Tammy, and beautiful small doggie Abby are an asset to Texoma Land. I have a numbered canvas I bought for my son recently and will take to them to frame. So proficient in art and framing. I left with a beautiful canvas and a custom necklace made by a 73 year old artist which is stunning. Thank you, Mark, Tammy, and precious Abby. I got framed at Sparrows Gallery in Denison, Texas :) Luv ya and thanks!
