Had this place on my list to try. It shares the same space as a lunch spot for Korean rice bowls I believe. I guess the donut side will still sell until they run out. I tried a few things. Our favs were the cronuts Espec the chocolate one and the Korean milk bun. It was lighter sweet if you're looking for that and very soft. The cake donut was okay as well as the regular donuts. I think since I already had the cronut, it trumps all! The young lady helping me was very sweet.

I really wanted to try their fig donut, but it wasn't available the day I went. Instead, I ordered the vegetable quiche and the creme brulee donut and both were delicious! The quiche was served as a flaky pastry filled with tomato, egg, cheese, and rosemary. The creme brulee donut was especially unique: creamy on the inside with a perfectly crunchy sugar coating on the outside. It wasn't too sweet (a compliment). I can't wait to come back and try their pistachio filled donut. YUM! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Note: they do have seating so you can sit and enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place did not disappoint. Stopped in during a visit to Dallas area and I will definitely go back the next time we are in the area. Had the sausage toastie sandwich with avocado added and a latte. It was so delicious. The sandwich itself is huge, and the secret sauce that accompanied it was absolutely delicious. They have quite a large selection of donuts and pastries. We got one (sorry, can't remember the name), but it was so delicious. Staff were friendly and kind. Look we need to normalize that a donut shop could have the best breakfast food in town and not some random brunch spot. As far as breakfast places go in DFW, Twinkle Donuts could absolutely be in the top 5. This is far from the old donut shop that you used to get on Saturday morning after going 3-4 with 2 RBI's in coach pitch baseball. This is the field of dreams of donut shops, build it and they will come. And I have come, each Sunday for the last 3 weeks and each time I've been happier than the last. Starting your day with a sausage, hash brown, egg, and cheese toastie with an apple fritter or maple Cronut might just be the best salty/sweet comparison of all time. "Shoeless" Joe Jackson and Eddie Cicotte, your best hitter and best pitcher. This is the kind of place they make movies about. Somebody get Kevin Costner ready, we're about to play ball.

Christmas donuts for the win! First time here and it seems to be a popular shop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little cozy shop with decent amount of seating for dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Extra friendly service and very accommodating. Kolaches were huge! Grabbed some seasonal, custom donuts that were pretty and delicious for the kids.

We stopped by Twinkle Donuts, which actually shares the same storefront with the Rice Bar. As soon as you walk in, there's a full display of donuts though they're not covered/protected in case someone sneezes, just roped off with a sign that says "look but don't touch." A staff member was working that day and seemed to be on her first shift. She couldn't understand what we were saying, but communication was rocky, maybe because of a language barrier or just the loud background music. Another staff member stepped in to help a bit. We decided to try the crème brûlée donut (which everyone raves about) and a cronut. The total came to $8.99, with a $2.50 minimum for credit card payments. The crème brûlée donut had a nice bittersweet caramelized top, and the cream filling was generous. The cronut was good, but not the flakiest I've had. Overall, it's a cute little boutique donut spot, but $5 for a single crème brûlée donut feels pretty steep.

Saw a photo of their breakfast sandwich this AM and decided to check it out. Twinkle Donuts is inside the Rice Box restaurant. I guess in the AM they do donuts and then around noon they flip it to Korean food. My son and I split the Everything Toasty Sandwich which is loaded with ham, bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on a soft brioche bread. THIS IS HUGE. It comes with a zesty mayo/pesto sauce which I tried but opted out of putting on the sandwich. Not needed. Recommend sharing the beast of a sandwich with a friend. You need to leave room for some donuts. 5 - Stars They make the sandwich in back, which took about 5-6 minutes and they bring it out to the table. Snack on a donut hole or cronut. (They tossed a few in our bag. The cronut holes are great 5 - star) We also ordered a Sour Cream Old Fashioned which was dense, sweet, and had the traditional crusty outer crust. 5 - stars. Jalapeño Sausage Kolache 4 - stars Pecan Pie Donut - we were so full from the other things I took it home and ate it later. WOW that was the best "special" donut I've had in a looong time. I am literally thinking about driving down there and getting another one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You don't eat here for ambience, but the plants and overall vibe is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

These are not donuts, these are confectionary genius! the amount of care and quality that goes into each donut is worth every penny they charge! So far the Creme Brulee is my personal favorite, but the apple fritters are a work of art too. I haven't even brought up the breakfast sandwiches, the ultimate burrito, toasties, and more.

Best donuts in DFW. Not a big donut guy, but this spot made me a believer... redefined my outlook on fried dough forever. Crunchy outside, soft pillowesque insides, perfectly sweet and delectable. Kolaches were also good, nice heat from Jalapeño and once again the dough was awesome. This is the donut spot in The Colony! They have everything and everything is delicious. If you are craving a delicious, fresh donut then you need to go here! It is located in The Rice Bar but who cares! Come breakfast and then come back later for a meal. Seeing the glass displays of all the yummy donuts will make it hard to pick just one. What a pleasant surprise! My friends and I ordered coffee and breakfast with some donuts, of course. The donuts were so fresh they were hot and the croissant and "toasties" we got were incredible and a bargain for the size! Also, the sauce for the toastie is to die for. We went to four different coffee places in four days and this was our second favorite place so the coffee was very good! I got my Name in donuts! You gotta know that I love donuts. Homer Simpson has nothing on me! So I decided to pick up a little treat to lift the spirits in my household. The idea to pick up a little treat obviously exploded into a ginormous smorgasbord of art in the form of donuts. I wish I'd gotten a picture of the actual donuts we ordered before eating them but, honestly, that should be a testament to how good this place is. I passenger princess-ed my way to Twinkle Donuts from Addison with my fiance on a Saturday morning, there was a long line when we arrived but it moves fast. Don't make the same mistake I did and sit in line gawking at the pretty donuts behind the glass, make decisions or you'll be caught off guard thinking you have minutes to make up your mind. Despite the difficulty of narrowing down my choices, I went with a chocolate cronut, an apple fritter the size of my head, and a cake donut. It was my first cronut and it was delicious. The fritter is the best fried pastry I've ever put in my mouth, I've yet to have a better apple fritter. The place itself was really cute and clean, it might be a bit hard to spot from the road but you'll know it's the right place by the pretty neon hanging in their storefront. read more

This amazing donut shop is dangerously close to my house..... and their donuts are DIVINE! For starters the owners are just the nicest folks you'll ever meet. The donuts range from your melt in your mouth glazed to creative concoctions like earl grey tea so their is NO shortage of options... unless you go late because they sell out quick! Speaking of late because I'm not your early riser I've gone well towards noon and still lucked out with amazing fresh donuts Now earlier is when you get those lemon curd or strawberry creme ones... the Ohhhh my goodness so good donuts! The details are amazing.... little candy Pearl's or fresh fruit on top.... you must go try them!! Pretty sure I've tried most including the sausage rolls but the lemon curd is my favorite! Some have a crisp sugar coating that again just melts in your mouth. This is my go to morning or ok...late morning sweet spot!! read more

So glad I finally tried this place, and I'll definitely be back. My girls love anything with sprinkles, so got them strawberry with sprinkles and kolaches. I tried the Creme brûlée with Nutella mousse. Oh my goodness to die for! So light and airy and the mousse melts in your mouth. I also got a Cronut which was delectable. Can't wait to go back and try more. Too bad they are closed on Monday's! They also have gluten free donuts. Can't wait to go back! read more

Been here twice now it it's been a great experience. First time just got the donuts and left. Second time we stayed and enjoyed with friends. Steady flow of traffic, wonderful cheerful staff, excellent donuts. Their blueberry cake might be my top choice of all the places we've explored. Definitely coming back read more

My go-to donut shop! I pass at least three other donut places to get here and it's totally worth it. Not sure how they select the menu but I've noticed the selection changes each time I'm there; of course, they always carry the same staples. LOVE their cronuts. I try to get the mini's covered in some sort of fruit to minimize my guilt. LOL. Their donuts taste fantastic but they're also beautifully made which makes them perfect for serving to guests. Since my parents don't have a decent donut shop/bakery in their town, I always make sure to pick up a box of Twinkle Donuts when I visit. I should be their favorite kid by now. Besides all the sugary goodness, the staff has always been kind, there's a drive-thru option, plenty of parking and the place feels clean. read more

First time here today. Came to pick up a dozen assorted donuts for my team. Every single engineer and admin came back and asked where I got them from. They were still warm, not greasy, not so sweet, super fluffy and airy. I will be back! I definitely recommend checking this little shop out. I went in to get a few specialty donuts and to my surprise, the cost was only $6. He even snuck in a half dozen donut holes into the box for free I've only eaten one so far, but it is delicious. Can't believe I didn't know about this place until now! My 2.5 year old son is making all of these love noises eating the donut holes LOL. That alone was worth the trip. read more

Ok, I'm in no way exaggerating when I say that these are the absolute best donuts I have ever had. The Banana pudding one is to die for and the creme brûlée is it's equal. The staff are so friendly and they waited patiently while we made our choices from the multitude of options. We got our items to go but had to sit down in the pleasant dining area because we just couldn't wait to eat them!! It's rare to see a 5 star rating but I assure you they have earned it! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place!!! The interior is so cute! The donuts are decently priced for what they are/what you get. The dough for all of their raised donuts is amazing...so moist, light, and fluffy. You have to try the cronut and apple fritter from here. I was a little skeptical about getting the apple fritter because it looked so dense and hard but it was actually quite the opposite. I would definitely have to give this place my money again in the near future. read more

Who knew I was missing out on experiencing top tier donuts until I visited twinkle donuts . The rope cinnamon twist donuts are fantastic and if you go early enough they will be nice and warm with a slight crisp (yassss) ..the strawberry shortcake donut (yes !) the pink frosted donut with sprinkle has such a unique flavor but good not your every day frosted donut . Say yes to the maple bacon donut ..it's like pancakes and bacon wrapped in one . I love this place they are always nice and throw in extra donut holes at the end . You can always go and just sit and read a book as well s by far one of the best donuts I have had read more

I crave these donuts at least once a week. They make the cutest donuts here!! We've ordered from them so many times and their staff is super friendly. My favorite is the Creme Brûlée and my bf's is the Apple fritter. I follow their Instagram @twinkle_donuts_toast to know when they come out with new donuts! They do custom donut boxes for birthdays/special occasions. I ordered their "spooky box" for Halloween and it was almost too pretty to eat. read more

There's a reason this donut spot landed on Yelp's list of the best restaurants in Texas https://www.yelp.com/article/yelps-top-100-texas-restaurants-2022. I ordered a half dozen gluten-free donuts, split between chocolate and regular glazed. These were the best donuts I've ever eaten. Period. Even across all of the non-GF, regular donuts I've eaten. I don't know how they make these GF donuts simultaneously light, moist, with just the right amount of density. I couldn't stop eating them. Only note of feedback, I would love if the batter was salted a bit more. I ended up sprinkling some salt on my donuts, but I also love salt. I'm still thinking about these donuts weeks later, and plotting my next trip to Twinkle Donuts. read more

Ordered a baker's dozen. Sweet Jesus.... We had family who never really eat donuts taking bites (some sneaking back for seconds and thirds) and raving. Fun flavors, some better than others (croissant donut was meh). Overall, if you ask me whether you should try this place... hell yea! read more

Recently moved to the colony area and saw this donut shop and decided one day I will make the time to stop by. This morning I needed sugar rush and the best way to satisfy the craving is by getting a donut for me. I'm happy there wasn't any lines and the people their were friendly. We have had custom donuts made from Twinkle donuts for two different company events and each one was amazing!! We received so many compliments and all of the donuts were so delicious and gone by the end of the event! This is our absolute favorite donut place and we will continue to go back!! read more

This one caught our eye because their Earl Grey donut seemed to be a popular favorite, so we came specifically for that. When we arrived around 10 am, Earl Grey was already sold out. There were about 20 basic donuts left (glazed, cake, etc). Good problem to have for the owners.. Fortunately, the person working there, perhaps the owner, offered to make one just for us. It seemed like they already had plain donuts ready and just needed to dip one in the Earl Grey glaze, which is exactly what she did. We really appreciated the effort and kindness! $4 each. As for the taste, it was okay overall. The Earl Grey flavor came through, but the donut was extremely sweet--so sweet that it overpowered the tea flavor. I understand donuts are meant to be sweet, but this one crossed the line a bit. If they could tone down the sugar just a little, it would really let the flavor shine. Overall, we're glad we got to try it, and if we're ever back in the area, we might stop by again to sample other flavors.

And if that wasn't enough, we also ordered a medium Margherita pizza. We asked them to cook it a little longer because we like that cheese well done. Tony's just makes an excellent pizza, but I especially like the margherita because their version comes with Greek olives. We couldn't finish it so they quickly boxed up the rest for us. All in all, it was such a lovely Sunday dinner. If you were like us and I've only ever ordered Tony's for delivery, I highly recommend that you try dining-in at least once. I just wish places like this would go the extra mile and really make sure that the slice is stand out.
