Also grabbed a frozen banana and wow... way better than expected. Cool out door seating at the patio. But way too cold to sit and enjoy. Huge shoutout to the staff too. We rolled in deep with a group of 11 literally like 3 minutes before closing and they still took great care of us without any attitude. That kind of service goes a long way. There's something so lovely about an ice cream stand that has served generations (including your parents and grandparents). The stand itself is iconic, with its classic sign. Last time I was there, about a year ago, ordered two malts...1 butterscotch and 1 banana as I recall. Neither had any flavor so couldn't tell what flavor they were and the price was excessively high. Haven't been back since so no idea if they now add enough flavor to the malts to taste the flavor ordered and/or adjusted their prices. read more

For being in the middle of nowhere (I'm a big city girl). It was nice to have a treat on a long road trip. We tried the Italian ice cone (twisted). The only downfall with this cone is it isn't consistent in the amount of Italian ice to the amount of ice cream. Barely any ice cream comes out due to the density of the two. This place is a local treasure. Always happy when the season starts. Hard to beat the rotating selection of Italian ice. The old fashioned strawberry soda is amazing. In a parfait cup they layer strawberry sauce, ice cream, whipped cream and all splash of club soda. Kids love the donut sundae or any of the cones with candy eyes. I really like the original vanilla cone, very thick and I like how they serve the cones in this container that catches melting ice cream. But not in love with the bbq sandwich, too much mustard? Must I say that there treats are very good. But back a couple years ago the employee who was in charge of there Facebook page went off on a rant. She told everyone that we are opening soon for the season and please don't let your kids jump on our tables outside and when you park your car don't run over the parking markers you will break them and make sure all your trash is in garbage. They basically set you straight and then tried to welcome u back :) I just don't agree with that. If you want your customers happy then don't tell them things like that. Tell them how happy you are to see them all back. read more
