A friend of mine always raves about this place, so I decided to give it a try since my hair girl moved away. I'm glad I did. Lindsey has helped me fix my head a couple of times, and she's been great! I actually had no time for the salon the past couple of months due to travel, and she actually reached out to me, which was a great reminder. Best part? She reached out via text instead of calling, which to me was very considerate and convenient. The work I had done (color and cut) left me very happy, and I actually had compliments on it after, so yay! The salon is super cute and they even sell clothes and accessories there, so definitely check out their reception area while you wait. The two ladies working were very nice. The environment was cute. I didn't give it 5 stars because I was unhappy that I got charged $60 for haircut and blow dry I didn't asked for it for. This is an awesome eclectic salon with a vibrant creative atmosphere and a great friendly staff! I wear Great Lengths extensions and there are not many stylists that are certified so after a couple disappointing experiences with other salons I was lucky enough to find Jill the owner of Twist! This was a wonderful breath of fresh air from the snobby salons that make you feel like you are doing Them a favor by bringing them your business.... I really enjoyed the decor all done by Local artists as well as the vintage boutique with fabulous jewelry and unique dresses from all different eras! Idk where to start.... I was referred here by a friend of mine from about year ago! I called this morning, and I got no answer, luckily, I called back and I got Jill! She was so friendly on the phone and so outgoing, she really made me feel like I wanted to be there, and seeing that they are closed on Sundays, she still took me because it was my only day off from work! I came In for my appointment was greater with a very warm welcoming huge from Jill (who is the owner btw) and she took me over and I showed we what I wanted and he chopped off my ponytail! Made me kinda nervous seeing I love my hair and hadn't had it cut in two years! So while cutting my hair she made me feel very at ease, she was so personable and so lovely, she really makes you feel like a friend! We talked about neuromas topics and she knew how to keep a conversation going! Jill has trixi, a flying squirrel that she keeps nuzzled between her boozums, and it's the most adorable/epic thing I have seen in a long time! I need one! The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! You walk in and this quaint little boutique shop with vintage clothes on display an for sale! The rooms are bright a colorful, the while place in General is JUST AMAZING!! This was the BEST experience I have had while getting my hair cut! Jill also waxed my eyebrows and did them just the way is been looking for, she really listens to you and what you want! Twist is an extremely unique studio. The design is retro, but they always have current hip art on the walls. The stylists are artists. They don't "do" hair.. they create! They have so many services available, one of which is permanent tattoo's. I was scared to death to have my eyeliner and eyebrows done, but now am gloriously happy every time I look in the mirror. It has made such an impact in my life. This salon works to support the whole person, from makeup, to hair, to jewelry, to makeovers. They truly care about the whole person. I discovered Twist through a friend, and I am amazed by absolutely everything! Michael is simply incredible. Very friendly, and rather than suggesting what I wanted, I asked him to say what would look good on me. And he did an incredible job. That is the first time I get highlights, and they look great, I love my hair now! And the style he gave me was very soft and flowing. He also gave me tons of advices for the care of my hair and the styling. While I was there, I saw Erin and Audrey taking care of other customers, and they are also incredibly friendly, with wonderful hairstyles for the customers. The place is also nicely decorated. I went to this salon only because my previous hair stylist changed over there. Wow did I have problems with this salon. I was supposed to get a treatment done with my stylist so I got there early. The guy who's there in the front I don't think he cuts hair but he's the one who answers the phone. He first said my stylist was running late and then said my stylist was in a car accident! So I said I would reschedule to see my stylist and he said I'm sorry he got into a car crash. Minutes after I walk out my stylist calls me on my cell phone and says "Dèborah I am so sorry I completely forgot about your appointment. I live an hour away I can be there. I take the bus because I don't have a car" so I said you don't have a car? And my stylist said "no I take the bus." So I told him well the front desk guy told me you and your husband were in a accident and then my stylist had no idea what to say! After this day I never returned!!!! How could you lie like that !?
