If I could give a negative 100000000 stars I would ... I am very disappointed with my experience at Twisted Anchor Tattoo. I went in with an approved design and expected the final tattoo to match what was agreed upon. Unfortunately, the finished work does not reflect the original design. Several details were changed, altered, or left out entirely, and the end result is not what I consented to. I contacted the shop to address the issue and requested a refund due to the differences between the approved design and the completed tattoo. My request was denied. After attempting to continue communication to resolve the situation, I was blocked on social media by the shop owner, Matt Stebly, which ended any opportunity for further discussion. The handling of the situation felt very unprofessional and dismissive. I made a good faith effort to resolve this privately before leaving a public review. I would caution others to be extremely clear about expectations, get everything documented, and not assume that a reputable-looking shop guarantees quality results or good customer service. This was not the experience I expected for permanent work. This was my last tattoo that represents my children and now I have this ugly thing on my neck and have to get it fixed and spend more money ... I am absolutely devastated, he also told me that the tattoo I originally showed them is "unrealistic" he then said he would fix it himself and then blocked me .... I will never go back there to get my tattoo fixed if the owner blocked me on socials, I'm not sure if he was under the influence but it scarred me now for life attached are the emails I wrote back and forth hy the shop, plus talking to Matt on instagram then being blocked, btw look at the beads on the picture I circled, it literally looks like a dick And balls See attached photos I was offered to come in and get it fixed by Matt himself and then I was blocked from further communication read more

Installing LED lighting and track lighting. Took about an hour to get a response and came out to quote immediately. Said he could do the job immediately. Quote was great, we said ok. We have tall, vaulted ceilings and he did not bring a ladder tall enough. We fortunately had one that he used. Was quick and did a great job. Would not hesitate to hire home again. read more

went in for a tattoo while visiting ocean springs. i am. very happy with the quality of the tattoo. the girl did a great job and the look is exactly what i had in mind. my only negative was the guy working at the front. he was on the verge of being rude. his behavior made me feel like i was intruding. the shop was clean and well organized the atmosphere was just not a great. happy with the work, disappointed with the front of the house! five others of us each wanted a tattoo but decided against it based on the guy at the front. chose another location and are all happy! read more

Think many times before getting a tattoo from Ben. The work was fast, poorly executed, and not worth the price or the tip given. The picture shown is right after a shower and patted dry. I got the tattoo on May 29, 2021, around 11 am. The image is supposed to be blueberries with triangles. He went too deep and caused a blowout in many areas, which can be seen around the leaf, triangle, and inside the blueberry. Some of the lines are not straight, do not line up, and are unfinished. The work quality is something to be expected out of a novice artist. I will not come here again or recommend anyone here. read more

I started going back in Oct 2020 for a sleeve. I loved the atmosphere and the work so much, I came back for the other arm and several smaller tats on my leg. Would have kept on going back to finish little tats into a sleeve and done the other leg, but I have to move. Will def keep in touch and hope to come back for more sometime! I am here writing the review that I wish I had seen before I got my tattoo from Twisted Anchor. When making my appointment that was allotted for 1 hour, my phone call with Lacey was mediocre at best. When I entered my appointment it was evident that there was no rush to help me. The front office receptionist was very kind and helped me fill out my paperwork. However when I walked to wash my hands before finishing my paperwork, I was roughly greeted by Lacey, the word greet being barely acceptable. She grabbed a paper out of the printer that I saw was very big. I came for a little dainty tattoo that was four small words. What I left with was a big crooked arm tattoo. I immediately said how I wanted a small tattoo. Lacey then told me that there was no way to get it smaller. This is the moment I should have left. Lacey talked to me as if I was a bother and the request I was making was too much. She was not nice conveying to me that I would not be getting a small tattoo. She told me she would scoot the words together, and even then the tattoo was very big. I was speaking to my mom who was waiting outside, because this was my first time getting a tattoo by myself and I sensed something was not going right. As I was having a conversation with my mom, Lacey was staring at me with her arms crossed telling me she got off work and 20 minutes and I needed to make up my mind. After that I apologized because I could feel her becoming extremely frustrated with me. I said how indecisive I am about things and how I had never been alone in this process, she then told me how I needed to make my mind up about a tattoo going on MY body and to get off the phone with my mom. She said how it was on my body and I did not need to discuss it with anyone else. She then kept staring at me being very bothered. A tattoo is forever, and because of her rush to get out I now have a giant tattoo that is not straight. After several attempts to have her straighten the tattoo stencil, she ran out of ink on the paper, needing a second copy. This was clearly her last straw because as you can see I have an uneven tattoo and a bad memory. Now it is neither on the side of my arm like asked or center, but in the middle of the two. This tattoo had great meaning and was held very close to my heart. Now when I look at this tattoo, what I see is a reminder of how I need to stand up for myself and leave when I am clearly not wanted. This was just an all around horrible experience. read more

So this was my first tattoo and it was a GREAT experience!!! After years of figuring out what I wanted to do, I finally jumped in there and went in for my consult. I had picked Mary to do my tattoo because of her awesome drawings of anchors and flowers. Which would be a big part of my tattoo. From the time Mary walked up, I felt like I've known her for years! My wife was with me and we both felt the same. She listened to my ideas, showed her pictures and answered 1,001 questions that a newbie has like a champ! She took her time and smiled the whole time while doing it. So the day finally came and that same smiling, outgoing and super sweet Mary we had met was still there. Of course, my nerves were in full force but she talked me through the whole process. Now for the art that she drew...I could have NEVER imagined it any better than what she did. She literally took my jumbled up ideas, a picture or 2 of tats, and came up with an awesome drawing for my tattoo! During the whole process, she was laughing and making feel really comfortable. I honestly could not have imagined my first time getting a tattoo would be such an awesome time! Again, my wife was with me, my piece has to do with her and my love for family so I naturally wanted her there, loved Mary as well! It's been a week now and the tattoo is looking great. What prompted me to write a review was not only from my great experience from my consult to the actual day, but Mary even took time out of her day to see how everything was going with the tattoo! Customer service before and after an event is big for me and Mary and the rest of the staff that I dealt with at Twisted Anchor delivered! Got 2 tattoos here before, came out great but that artist left. Went back to get 2 smaller and simpler tattoos (my 7th&8th pieces) and this female artist tries to get me to pay more than twice as much as I payed last time, or for any of my other tattoos, my most expensive pieces all being 3-8 times larger and requiring wayyy more outlining and were done in San Fran, Portland and Boston. So I deemed her out of her mind, being that this is Mississippi and she was not ed hardy- and I didn't appreciate her insulting one of my previous smaller pieces, word for the wise- you don't insult a persons tattoos, they are not for you to judge nor understand- yeah so found a place on Bienville, no attitude, no trickery with the prices. read more
