I keep coming back! You have to try the "cinnamon bear" biscuits! They are filled with cinnamon butter, brown sugar, raisins, and pecans. They have Bloody Mary and mimosa flights! If you want a classic breakfast they have a "sides" menu if fun and fancy new stuff isn't your thing. All the menu items have cute clever names and the place itself is cute inside. Family and I packed the car and drove here to try it out. We were seated right away after using the Toast app to check in. Toast indicated 20 min wait so that was cool. The staff seem very nice and attentive. The ambiance is quite photogenic with all the quips and pictures around. Time to order!!! Looking forward to an omelette but "machine" that makes the omelette is down and hence we cannot order an omelette. (Maybe advise customers the option is not available before trying to order?) Ordered decaf coffee. Luke warm at best and tasted like it had chemicals mixed in. Sent it back. Hit the restroom while waiting. It's in a bad state. Needs a good clean.... Finally. 40 minutes... foods here. But no utensils but brought quickly. Started into the food. The egg was ordered over easy but the egg white was still raw... they were nice enough to bring another but it was cooked the same way. Obviously the kitchen is either under staffed or rushing trying to get orders out. Ate some of the meal but not the egg as it was undercooked. Received the bill. They did offer a 10% veterans discount. They also have veterans parking. Nice! I have to say the kitchen staff needs some work. Our server was very nice but busy. Their biscuits would surely survive a nuclear fallout - drier than the dessert in the thick of summer! My husband got the biscuits and gravy. Total waste. Dry biscuits with the blandest gravy. If you close your eyes as you're cutting into a biscuit, you might mistaken yourself for sawing through drywall. I've lived in the area for a year now and have been meaning to try this place. Three visits and Twisted Biscuit is a winner for me. Don't judge me, but I have a funky work schedule, I work on Sunday. So I like to experience brunch on a weekday morning or on a Saturday morn and TB lets me do just that. Here at Twisted Biscuit, I can relax with an early morning Bloody Mary or Mimosa with my cup of coffee as I read over the menu and select a hearty breakfast. Booze with breakfast makes for a special day. My first visit, TB was packed and I was lucky to get a stool at the bar. To experience as much as I possibly could on the first visit, I order the flight of Bloody Mary's and Biscuits. To accompany them, I added a side of Baked Bacon and Home Fries. When they brought me my order, they accidentally gave me grits instead of Home Fries. When I pointed it out, they let me keep the grits and brought me my original order. I am so glad I ordered the way I did, I got to sample three of their popular BM's and got to taste four of their biscuits. My favorite biscuit was the Bacon is My Jam and my fave Bloody was the I Like It Dirty. The Home Fries are done in little cubes, and they are fried to a crisp - nice. The Baked Bacon, could take home a gold medal if at the Olympics. I tried the grits which were served to me by mistake and was pleasantly surprised. I actually liked them. Normally I only eat grits with Shrimp, but these were actually good. My next visit I enjoyed, Mind Ya Biscuits. I had my two eggs scrambled, bacon, home fries and then a farm boy favorite, one biscuit with gravy. Even with no chunks of sausage in the gravy, this was a winning breakfast. The white gravy was still seasoned well enough and topping a cheddar biscuit gave it enough flavor. The third visit, I went with my servers favorite, Huevos Twisteros. Wow - the chili was full of spice and flavor. It was good, but I'll be honest, I will not be repeating it. On my next visit, I'll be checking out the, Nashville Hot, Sticky And Sweet. That's a Belgian Waffle, topped with Twisted Tenders and Nashville Hot Honey. I love hot honey, so I cannot wait to see how theirs taste. The bartenders and servers I have experienced were friendly and attentive. They were hustling and doing a great job. My cousins went on my recommendation and enjoyed themselves. Small portions, undercooked eggs (scrambled eggs were runny) we sent back and they still came out runny just not AS runny, hard cold biscuits, ham looked like it was 2 small thin sandwich slices from schnucks that weren't cooked. I arrived at 12:26 and was greeted warmly. The host told me a 20 minute wait and I was fine with that since the establishment is new and it is lunch time. At 12:35, I was told my table wasn't ready but I could sit at the bar with food menu available for ordering, so I took him up on the bar option. I don't usually like sitting at the bar, but since I was hungry and this is a breakfast and lunch spot that closes at 2:15, I was fine with it. I love this whole concept! I am in love with the creative and diverse menu and love the wacky and unique names of all the dishes. I am not a drinker, but they have some phenomenal drinks including spiked coffee drinks, inventive mimosas and a variety of bloody Mary's. If you LOVE bloody Mary's they have the king of all king instagrammable bloody Marys called "Because Size Matters" and it is perfect meal and drink all in one! They also have a Bloody Mary flight that includes 1 of all the 4 biscuits and 3 of their different types of bloody Mary's. For the record, wait times are extremely long. I got my food at 1:30 after placing and order nearly an house before. Uncomfortably long for a breakfast and lunch spot. But I won't hold that against them this time because 1.) they have only been opened a week and 2.) shout out to Lindsey, who noticed my extremely long wait and brought me 2 of their 4 flavored biscuits for me to try which was a dynamo customer service move! It eased my growling tummy and offered me other items to review!! Per Lindsey's suggestion when I asked, she brought one of their "nothing get cheddar than this" and the cinnamon bear. Both of them were hot, fresh and delicious! The "nothing gets cheddar than this" cheese biscuit was filled with cheddar, bacon, black pepper and garlic and it was perfect with the honey butter for just a hint of sweetness as it melted on the fluffy biscuit. The cinnamon bear was a cinnamon biscuit filled with raisins, cinnamon butter, brown sugar and pecans served with a cream cheese spread which was delightful! My food finally arrived and I ordered the chicken tacos with chorizo chili as well as the "Gangs all here" speciality pancake sampler. I was most excited about the pancake sampler that included a fresh blueberry and lemon poppy seed pancake, a blackberry almond pancake and the caramel apple pancake, that was topped with apples, caramel, diced bacon and pecans. All the pancakes are flavorful and tasted like their description. The pancakes' texture was a little tough, not a very fluffy pancake, but the creative flavors made them good. This comes with eggs your way and breakfast meat choice of bacon or sausage. I went for the bacon. As I mentioned, the other entree I tried was the chicken tacos with chorizo chili and the star of this dish was definitely the chili. It was a nice thick chili with that spiceness that you love of chorizo infused in every bite. The chicken tacos were good, but from the photos, definitely could use more chicken. Since I sat at the bar, the bartender Haley was my server and she did a phenomenal job. Always pleasant smiling and friendly, she did a solid job of balancing serving with making drinks. Ok so I'm torn. I used to love this spot. Great adult coffee drinks and mimosas. Good service team. I LOVE these servers. They stick around, and some I've seen as a regular for a few years. But something is up with management and it's going downhill. In my opinion, they just keep reducing the parts of the business that made them unique. For instance, we frequently have to wait more than an hour to eat. Not because of the number of people to serve, but because of poor planning. Plenty of open tables, but not bussed. Today was Easter buffet. 90% dinner food. Couldn't get eggs because the line to the feeding trough was so backed up. People waited 20-30 minutes standing in a line to eat lukewarm Mac and cheese and fried chicken at 10:00am. None of the actual food we love was available, and I paid $30 for a single plate of so-so dinner food. I get it though. Around here people are cows and it's all about quantity. Just throw food at their fat faces and hope they're able to waddle out. But if I wanted to stand in line all morning for room temp dinner food, I'd go to a knights of Columbus hall. Whole reason I like this place is the delicious food, the atmosphere, and not having to make it myself. Anyway, I'm not much of a fan anymore. I've lost my appetite for this place honestly. Ants. After being seated in a booth, we noticed ants crawling all over the table and silverware. We notified an employee and moved to another table. The employee (believed to be a busser or server) apologized and that was it. Our server apologized as well but no one from management came out to apologize/address the issue. They also continued to seat people in the booths (it was not just our booth that was infested) with ants. Those people also requested to move once they noticed. It's worth noting they are well aware they have an ant issue because after noticing the ants, we noticed the (ineffective) ant traps on the windows. The food was just okay but lacked flavor and left much to be desired. The drinks were decent. Our server was good. I likely would not return or recommend to anyone as this place is nothing special...unless you count the ants. That's certainly special. read more

Let's just say my experience was a little twisted. On a casual Saturday morning after a night of laughter and liquor, we thought we'd try our luck at the good ole twisted biscuit. What we didn't realize is that by the time we got our food we'd all be married and have kids. The wait for our food was so long the guy next to us left and came back with two bags and of McDonald's and made himself at home at the table. Server was nice. Potatoes were a gift from god. My daughter and I made our first trip to Twisted Biscuit for breakfast last week. The restaurant was somewhat slow on a Wednesday morning at 9:00. The interior was nicely decorated in an industrial farmhouse style and was clean and appealing. Our server was very friendly and quite knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the St. Louis slinger and my daughter ordered the Plot Twist French toast. We both had coffee. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and looked great. The St. Louis slinger was good. The eggs were light and fluffy, the chorizo chili was thick and hearty with good flavor. The pickled red onion and cheese made the omelette even better. The only disappointment was the biscuit. This place has "biscuit" in the name. I really figured that would be awesome. The biscuit was very "bready" and had no real flavor. Butter did not help. My daughter really enjoyed the French toast. They were a huge portion served with eggs and her choice of meat, sausage. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the service. The cost was about $50 (including tip). That might be the only reason I didn't rate it at 5 stars. read more

The food was GREAT! I had the Hash Your Mouth, and it was SO good, and enough to have leftovers the next day. That's because I'd ordered the flight of Bloodies which came with such GREAT accoutrements! I was here with hubby and friends, and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. The one issue was that the menu is out of date, and they don't warn you beforehand. I mean, use a permanent marker to strike through items no longer offered! I get that making new menus wouldn't be cheap, but some effort should be made to let customers know BEFORE they set their hearts on something. We were hungry this morning and decided to try Twisted Biscuit. I tried several times to get on the Wait List, only to be told the link was Invalid. We decided to risk it and expected a long wait for 9:30 on a Saturday morning, but it wasn't too bad -- about 15 minutes, although they did seat several parties who walked in before seating us. Our server came over and brought coffee quickly so that was great. DH ordered Pineapple Upside Down pancakes and I ordered Eggs Benedict. Food came out fairly quickly, was hot, and very good. I love Eggs Benedict made with biscuits instead of English muffins. The restaurant is fairly noisy, so don't plan on a quiet, intimate meal, but, hey, it's brunch. I considered a Bloody Mary -- they have several to choose from and all looked delish, but coffee was needed this AM! We'd return and, hopefully, the online Wait List will be functioning. read more

I love brunch any day of the week! I'm always happy when a new breakfast place opens! So, when I saw the sign I did a little happy dance! I first checked out the reviews and pictures. When I saw the m&m pancakes I actually screamed a little! I finally got my chance to eat here and was very disappointed that m&m pancakes are not on the menu!? I was hungry for eggs anyway so I didn't ask about them. The eggs were soft and fluffy. The bacon cooked perfect for me; not over done or under done. The potatoes were good. The only thing I didn't like was the little biscuit. I found this ironic since biscuit is in the name of the restaurant. It was very dry and tiny and didn't have much flavor. We didn't mind as we just browsed the menu. Once we ordered we did not receive our food for an additional 45 minutes. The food came out hot however the pancakes we got were so hard to cut into. A fork wouldn't do the trick. A butter knife barely did it either. On top of that we ordered biscuits and gravy. When I tell you the gravy was as thick as mashed potatoes I mean it. I could have put wallpaper up with that stuff. The potato's were pretty good minus the excessive amount of seasoning. We also got a latte which tasted like straight milk and could have given Paul Richard's husband the sh*ts due to all that dairy. This was such a disappointing trip. Wonderful breakfast place! This place is in Edwardsville and worth the 30+ minute drive from STL. I have been twice in the last 2 months and plan to go back soon. The service was great with very friendly staff willing to offer suggestions. I love the interior decoration with a bar and multiple seating options. I definitely recommend the Caramel Apple Pancakes and mimosas...but what keeps me coming back are those Nothing Gets Cheddar Than This Biscuits!!! We waited a long time for the wait staff to acknowledge us. Our coffee ran dry during breakfast and the food was room temperature. My husbands potatoes were the leftovers. We knew this as all the crumbs and seasoning were served on his plate. The biscuits we ordered were cold and were served without the proper "toppings" or butter. She was friendly and took her time with us even though things were busy. Our first round of cocktails missed the mark. The coffee drinks could use another look. The mimosas were perfect. We tried a variety of things that were tasty but otherwise unremarkable. The home fries should have a crisp exterior and a creamy soft center. They weee kinda soft and soggy.
