The meat was tender and flavorful and I had enough for two meals! Charlie had the trout in a garlic sauce and t was so yummy! The sauce was sweet and savory with veggies added on top of the fish. We had a slice of light and fresh coconut cake that was just delicious. The atmosphere was busy but not chaotic. All the waiters were attending to all the tables. Service was adequate. They were busy so it took a while for someone to address us. We grabbed a high top in the bar area. They have like a dozen AC units throughout the dining space, so temperature control was a priority. (Appreciated). Food wise we grabbed the calamari, some spicy wings and some steamed dumplings to start. Dumplings were decent. Calamari was pale and could have been fried harder. Also, it was a weird cut....long flat pieces instead of the circular cuts I'm used to. My kids loved it, but def not the best I've had. The wing sauce was a highlight. We asked for hot, but as a table if west Indian people, the heat level was mild. The wings were also slightly less done than I like. They were drowning in a plate of sauce though. I'm wishing i would have taken the sauce to go and refired some wings at home and put em under the broiler so the sauce would have caramelized on the meat. They had all the elements, but that would have def improved the flavor and texture there. For entrees, we got a Chicken Pad Thai (my son called it a spiritual experience) , two orders of pad see ew with crispy tofu and one Drunken Noodle with Pork. I didn't taste the pad Thai so can't cosign my son's review. The sauce on the pad see ew was the highlight. The tofu was under done (not crispy), and the Drunken noodles were decent. For the Triangle, this was great Thai. Comparing to all the other Thai I've had in life, this was ok. But if they want to seel their sauces on the side, I would def grab some of those and chef it up at home. Staff was friendly and attentive. Felt like family owned - no pretense, just helpful people.

My girlfriend loved the drunken noodles (it was spicy!). And the juice was excellent. We each finished only half to 2/3 of our food. Service was great-- I got refills quickly, and the server not only checked on us but was pretty friendly/ chatty, asking about our weekend plans and such. The restaurant was also clean, including the restroom. And price was fair-- something like $16 for each dish before tax and tip. Only one complaint-- the temperature was weirdly hot. There service like white and black or fire and water. I walked in to get my order, the waiter walked in and help me right away, asking me nicely and reading the order back to me, but the order isn't right cause I am vegetarian, I can have soy sauce but on the yellow paper write no soy sauce. He opened the food and asked me if I want to taste it first if I don't like it. He offered to fix it for me. It look very bland to me. While he was talking to me, the waitress stopped playing on her cellphone and walking to me, yelling at me and said, you told me no oyster sauce, no fish sauce, and no soy sauce. I was shock by her attitude. While the waiter try to please me and bring me fork and want to make sure I like my food. I tasted it, and the food is bland and no spicy. I asked if they can fix it for me, and he said yes while the waitress just bring me hot sauce and try to make me out of store. While I was waiting for my food to be fix, he gave me a glass of water and sorry for mistake my order. He didn't take my order but she did, she never say it or care about it. This is second time happened to me. First time my friend and I ordered Tom Kha with tofu and I got Tom Yum instead. She shouted at my friend and told her next time she should order coconut soup, when the menu said Tom Kha. Why don't you change your menu to be Coconut soup. So we will order it that way. Find lots of good review about food and service this store, so we decided to go there last Friday. Food is okay, but the service is very bad. The waitress is always on the phone. After taking our order, she vanished inside the kitchen. My friend accidently hit the glass of the water and make the table wet. We couldn't find anyone to help us, so I have to walk to counter, get napkin and do it myself. While she came back, she was on her phone again. When the food finally arrived, it was normal temperature and dry. It supposed to be hot. We think since she was on the phone all the time, she might let our food sit in the kitchen for a while before she brings it to us. Every time we need some things we couldn't find her, or she was on the phone. While my friend calls her to fill the water, we can feel that she isn't happy about it. My friend decided to walk to counter and get hot sauce and when he comes back, he told me that she was on the tablet playing the music too. About the music we think the restaurant should find something that relaxing and easy to be listening, not rock or dance music. Went there recently for lunch with my friends. This restaurant uses to be great with food and service. I am not sure why they changed staff because the guy who works there is very nice but now it has gone downhill specially on the service. I ordered drunken noodle with medium spicy, but it is too spicy, and I can't eat it. I told my waitress, and she said that because I ordered medium spicy. Then she walked back and played with her cellphone. She didn't care that I can't eat it or not. I have to switch food with my friend. Even my friend who likes spicy food still said this is very spicy, not medium spicy. Since we complained about our food to her, so she doesn't come back to our table, never fill our water. Every time I looked at her, she is playing on her cellphone and talking on the phone. So, we decided to leave. We try to call her since she was on her phone, she didn't see us. We have to walk to the counter and pay for our bills there. Service was not attentive. Worst waitress, Worst service, and Worst attitude. We won't go back there again. Atmosphere: Twisted Noodles is a casual Thai spot with lots of space. It's never been super crowded when we've eaten there. Also a great option for takeout! Service: The staff are casual, friendly, and happy to help! Food: We ordered their Chicken Pad Thai and Pork Dumpling Red Curry, which were served in generous portions. We also got some complimentary Twisted Thai Rolls for checking in on Yelp! The Pad Thai was light with a slight acidic hint and had a good level of sauciness. The Pork Dumpling Red Curry was a dish we ordered out of curiosity and we were pleasantly surprised. The curry was more creamy than we expected but had a great balance of flavors, while the dumplings were flavorful and filling! The Twisted Thai Rolls (veggie spring rolls) were not as impressive, tasting more like microwaved rolls, but we can't complain about free food! Overall: Twisted Noodles is a decent spot for quick, casual, and reasonably priced Thai food. Their service was friendly, and our overall experience was pleasant. I have been here many times. Probably the best Thai food in Durham, and also price are cheapest in the area. The server is very polite and friendly. But last night I ordered take out, the service was nice, he asked me if I need any chopsticks or any hot sauce while inside the kitchen people are yelling so loud, It already noise enough from the television. He try to apologize and brings me some hot sauce, but this isn't first time that I heard people from kitchen being rude or noise cause I remember while I was talking to him, I heard people from inside the kitchen yell out "Shut Up". Went there today. Had chicken satay, tom yum and red curry. Really like them. The service was good. However I need to leave comment about servers. There are 2 girls and it was slow. While they were done waiting on us, they would go sit down and working on computer and cell phone. I have never seen things like this in other restaurants. Warning of the service charge, after I back home I already checked on there menu website to make sure that I will be right before I write this preview. Kung Pao chicken without cashews is a joke!…read more Went here for a quick lunch because it seems to be the only acceptable (and fast) place to eat in Carrboro Plaza. NC people would know that there's always a Chinese fast food place like this close to a Food Lion, and this is one of the many, so my expectations were not big. I ordered the Combination meal with Kung Pao Chicken, pork fried rice, and egg roll. Also ordered a small hot & sour soup & a bottle of diet Coke. Young lady cashier was friendly and took order without issue. I usually order take out when it comes to Wok spots like this but decided to dine in. Order was served within 10 minutes - another employee brought my soup with the flour crackers that go with the soup. As you can see in the photo, the size of Kung Pao meal is fine for a $12+ meal. The mixture of vegetables (broccoli, carrots, snow peas, and green bell peppers) bury some of the chicken pieces underneath, giving me an impression that chicken meat was not enough. As I ate, I discovered that there's a fair amount of thin sliced chicken breasts. Most of the chicken pieces (maybe 5 or 6) were sliced thin but wide - I wanted to slice it to make it fit the spoon with the pork fried rice, which was finely cooked. Somewhat surprisingly, the chicken tasted tofu-like rather than what you'd expect from a well-cooked white meat chicken. I set the few snow peas aside - they don't go well with the entire meal. I realized something seemed to be missing. Any Kung Pao chicken lover would know that the perfect Kung Pao chicken always have cashews (or roasted peanuts) but China Wok's version was missing this essential ingredient that gives that extra crunch to the meal. The space inside is about average compared to other Chinese Wok spots in NC. There's a good amount of parking space shared between various businesses there. There's a standard soda machine and sweet tea but got a Diet Coke bottle instead. The hot & sour soup was the same as what you'd expect from a typical Chinese restaurant. Amount was good for a small size. The eggroll was quite bland: Although there were bits of pork inside, the chewy, flavorless texture made me ask, "What in the world am I eating?" Also tried their General Tso in a previous visit, and the chicken meat quality was a bit better that the Kung Pap chicken but tasted like it was more flour than chicken. If you want fast and cheap Chinese food in Carrboro, China Wok is still a convenient option. Although there are a few other Chinese spots nearby (more towards the downtown area), it's still a blessing for a boring shopping center. But if you're looking for a decent Chinese restaurant that serves quality food, this is clearly not it.

Service was great, friendly staff and surprisingly, and happily, the food was excellent. The chicken was well cooked, fresh and soft, with just the right spiciness that I like. (I did ask for extra spiciness and, unlike other places around here, it was right on). The veges were perfectly cooked as well, and the take out container could not contain another spoonful! Perfect for Chinese food - enough for another bowl shortly!! The Wonton soup was delicious as well. Will definitely be back for more dishes and would definitely recommend giving this place a shot if you're in the neighborhood.

When you walk in it's a very typical Asian restaurant style where you order up front and receive your order with a sauce/condiment table to the side. Drinks are available as well. At first they had yellowed menus but just had them replaced with some very nice, colorful backlit menu boards. Now the food. You'll easily receive 2 or even 3 portions worth in a single meal. Everything I've tried has been great with my favorite being the orange chicken at about $15. Their lunch specials have the best value from most other restaurants I've seen at only $10 for a slightly smaller portion, rice, and a drink.
