My son started going to this new location several months ago, and I can say that we've always had good experiences here. The staff are very skilled and friendly, and the location is very close to Westfield High School, making it a quick visit for those cases where you're running the kids to multiple appointments in one day. read more

I wanted to share my terrible experience with this salon. It was my first and last experience at this salon. I called the 546 location and a sweet assistant answered the call. I explained that I needed about 4-5 inches off of my hair and wanted to get it a tad shorted than shoulder length. She mentioned that they have multi level stylists but that she recommended that I see a Level 4 stylist that would have much more experience in a shorter style. When I arrived I met with the sweet assistant that got me prepped for my haircut with Mariah. She washed and set up the station for Mariah. Mariah was back and forth between myself and another client. I shower her 4 images of the look that I was hoping to achieve. I mentioned that I just didn't want my hair hitting my neck and kicking outward. I hoped it would lay nice with an easy blow dry and product. She used this rubber mat and we chatted. I had scheduled with full experience which was about $60 some dollars as compared to the express cut that she also offers. She styled my hair with a round brush and a blow dryer and did some dry cut as well. When she finished my hair was all curled and looked good from the front. I paid and tipped well and went on my way. When I got home that night and was prepping for bed I realized that I had been walking around with 2 very long tails of hair on each side of the back of my head!! This clump of hair was a good 3 inches longer than the rest of my hair was was curled up into the hair style. Just sick, I pulled out the business card and texted Mariah that night. I explained that I was leaving town early the next morning and needed to see how to get this fixed. She asked for me to be in the salon for a 9:30am appt and I said "yes!" and thanked her. The next morning I was on my way to the appointment when she texted me around 9:14 to let me know that she wouldn't be to the salon until 9:45 now. I was on my way so I said ok, but that I would just wait in the salon until she arrived. I also mentioned how the back hair was all kicking out terribly and how I was in a rush to leave town. She assured me she would need no more than 5 minutes to fix all of the issues. I arrived in the empty parking lot and waited and waited. He co-worked finally showed up about 9:42 and I walked into the salon at 9:45. I explained to the co-worked that I was waiting for Mariah for a 9:30 appointment that was pushed back to 9:45. A few minutes later the assistant walked in and recognized me from my appointment. I told her I was waiting for Mariah to fix my hair and showed her the tail that was left behind. At this point she assures me that she sees the tail and says she will text Mariah to make sure she will be here soon as I mention to her that I'm needing to leave soon which I had told Mariah in the beginning. Thankfully after 9:47 the other stylist comes over and looks at my cut with the assistant and says, "Just get in my chair, I'm so sorry!") I get in her chair and I'm holding back the tears that I'm going to be leaving town with such a terrible cut. When the new stylist was more than half way done with this longer than 5 minute cut, Mariah finally walks in the door. She comes back out of the employee room and asks if we are getting it taken care of, and I couldn't even speak to her. The stylist finished and refused the tip. I told her that I would starting crying if she didn't take the tip as she had done nothing wrong in the beginning and fixed a problem that wasn't hers. Thankfully she took the tip and I was able to brag that I spent almost $100 at this salon in less than 24 hours for a hair cut that was not where near anything that I has shown Mariah in the beginning. I have random layers in the back and very long clumps in the front. The hair doesn't lay nicely at all around my neck. The 2nd stylist did do an amazing job and I'm thankful that I could go on my trip no thanks to Mariah. I'm not sure how I got roped into this level 4 stylist that wouldn't take the time to make sure she cut all of my hair and even worse, made a recovery appointment and then was almost 20 minutes late. I value her time and my time. When I called it was explained that Mariah is also the manager for that location. The customer service is very lacking. To even further prove this, I called the other location to speak to the owner privately about this matter and was told I would receive a call back the next week when she was back from vacation. I have waited all week and no phone call. I would steer clear of Mariah at this salon. I'm so embarrassed that I walked around with these tails all day and had no clue. All Mariah had to do was show up on time for my appointment. I know that they wouldn't allow customers to show up that late for an appointment so they should value the customer's time as well. I have shown my friends around town and they couldn't believe the cut and experience that Twisted Sisters Salon provided. I would avoid Mariah!!! Very Disappointed. read more

Would NOT go here again. I explained what I wanted (shadow root) in my initial contact request to them and they asked me when I preferred to come in and if I preferred a certain stylist. I am new to the area and have never been there before so I said anyone would be fine (trusting the professionals to pair me with someone who knew how to do what I wanted) I got paired with a stylist who I IMMEDIATELY got a uncomfortable impression from from the facial expressions while I sat in the chair and throughout the process. (You can absolutely tell when someone is not confident or comfortable in the work they are doing) I have brown spots on my blonde hair on top that she said "wash out" I've never heard of hair dye "washing out" of hair. She also half assed the end of my appt, ie not fully blow drying it or styling it at all. She did ask if I wanted her to straighten it when it was half dry in which I was over the entire experience and wanted out and knew I'd just regret it more so I opted to finish it myself. Do yourself a favor and if you don't want to do someone's hair DONT!! It was a terrible experience I don't wish on anyone. Thanks for the $100 haircut read more

There were a lot of good things about this salon, but I was really really uhappy with my haircut so I had to give a 3 rating. The staff were all super nice and friendly and even offered coffee, the salon was cute and clean, and the service was super fast. I had my hair dyed and the color was beautiful, however, I was devastated by my haircut. I asked for a trim and specificasked for them to cut as little as possible. When I got home, I realized they had cut nearly 5 inches off (I have very long hair). I won't lie, I cried. They didn't cut any layers or dimension into my hair, just chopped it straight across. For reference, my hair is very straight and fine. When I turned my head or moved my hair, the ends became jagged chunks, which I ended up fixing when I went home. I heard great things about the salon, and I'd still recommend it to short haired or curly haired people. I saw a woman with thick shoulder length hair get a beautiful cut and style while I was there, but apparently they do not know what to do with long straight hair. I'm still really sad about my haircut, but at least I got a pretty color out of it. read more

All the ladies at Twisted Sisters Beauty Salon are great! They offer a wide range of services including: hair, extensions, nails, lashes, and an esthetician! I personally have utilized the hair stylist, Robbie Webster, and esthetician, Charlene Webster. Robbie keeps you fresh and stylish. She is hip to the latest trends and has a killer head/beck massage. She is one of the most positive people I know and makes the experience truly enjoyable! Charlene keeps it classy while doing a bikini wax, which is not the most comfortable service to get! Ouch! However, she is a true professional and the BEST at waxing! I've also had a hydration facial that left me glowing! BEST salon in Westfield and worth the drive! read more

The woman who started the salon, Robbie Webster, has been my stylist for almost 6 years. She always does a good job - I get lots of compliments on my highlights and she even does a decent job of reading my mind when I do a terrible job of telling her what I want. Haven't been to any of the other stylists, but I'll report back after Robbie takes her maternity leave starting in March '10. The salon itself is adorable - nice and open, clean and well-decorated. There are also other services available - nails, aesthetics, and I think even massage. Great local business to support! Maternity leave report: Went to Katie, the girl taking all of Robbie's maternity leave appointments. She gave me a great cut that has done a good job of lasting between cuts. I finally found someone who knows what they are doing with coloring grey and blond hair. It's been a tough journey to get to this point as I have very fast growing hair so I'm in for retouch ever 3-4 weeks. Lindsay, fixed my hair color that another expert at a different salon had destroyed and was continuing to make it bad for, well let's just say too long. I stuck with the other salon and this person because of the credentials this person had but she just kept creating more and more lines. I kept thinking it's just hair, she will figure it out. But she never did. Lindsay took the time to present what would need to happen in order to correct the color lines and she explained that my current color needed to be adjusted, why and how she would do it. I was blown away when she was done. She asked if she could cut my hair and OMG I can't believe what she was able to do. She's the real deal and I have been back to her again which is why I'm taking time to write this. Stylists seems to start out great and then the second appointment I can often sense that the first appointment was a one time deal. It was such a relief to find Lindsay as she is the most competent, intelligent stylist I have ever had. read more

I will never go back. The only good stylist here is booked up for months. The stylist my cousin got was awful! She has dark brown hair and she wanted an ombre. This lady dyed her hair half, literally half, like a very vibrant carmel color. It looked AWFUL! She had to go somewhere else to try to get it fixed and they couldn't fix it either and ended up having to re-dye all of her hair. read more

I had been looking for a new hair salon in the area. I live in Westfield and there isn't much close by (yet) unless I drive to Carmel. I was happy to receive a recommendation from a neighbor about this salon that is in the heart of downtown Westfield. It's in a historic beautiful home directly across the street from the high school. It's been beautifully redone while still keeping the integrity of the home that it once was. I had my appointment with Sarah B. and she was wonderful! Very friendly and she did an amazing job. Honestly, my hair has never looked better. I had her to do an ombre bayalage and cut it. The price was similar to every other place in the area. I was the only person in the room with her (we were upstairs) and it was nice because we had privacy and could talk about life and I definitely felt like she took her time making my hair look perfect. At the end she even curled and styled it as I had a birthday party to get to. I really loved the place and have already booked another appointment with Sarah. I highly recommend giving them a call to make an appointment! read more
