Last July my husband and I contacted Clinton to take our engagement photos and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had our shoot in Griffith park and he was able to give us access to our album within 3 days. We couldn't believe how quickly he worked. I initially contacted him because the only photographer that I trusted happened to be my old housemate/landlord Brian who originally owned calicreative but then sold his business over to Clinton. The pictures came out so wonderfully it's been my profile picture on Facebook for the last 10 months (which is insane considering I used to change it every month). But I digress. Flash forward 8 months and our wedding day quickly approached. I will tell you as a recent bride that while the wedding as a whole was probably the most stressful event of my life- the one thing that I knew would run smoothly was the photography-and I was right. Clinton and Andrea were true professionals and were able to capture the calm despite the storm. If any bride-to-be is reading this...listen to me. My mother was a photographer and has worked in the industry...and even she has nothing but accolades for these two. Thank you guys for chronicling the best day of my life and being a part of it. We decided to have two photographers for the day and Clinton and Andrea did a great job! They were prompt, polite, and lighthearted. They made us feel comfortable and set up some really unique shots for both formal portraits and more intimate shots. They were very clear that we were in charge and were very responsive to any ideas that we had, while providing expertise and artistic vision which made the photoshoot a great success. We were married in a church with relatively strict rules for photographers and they were very respectful and discreet. I didn't notice them the whole time. During the reception they got plenty of shots but were, again, respectful and discreet and blended into the party. We received our photos promptly and they were beautiful with a wide variety of shots. We received access to all the photos online as well as a flash drive in the mail. Overall, CaliCreative was a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful to have their beautiful photos that captured the most important day of our lives.

So this review has been a year in the making as we did our engagement session, wedding, and trash…read morethe dress with Behzad. At first glance everything looks and sounds amazing. He has a very boutique studio on Robertson, and his pictures are truly breathtaking. There is no doubt that he is a talented photographer and can bring that special touch to your day. My husband I were excited to sign with him because we had heard horror stories about other photographers and when we explained what we wanted and were looking for, we were given the utmost assurance that all would be done as requested. Fast forward to the actual sessions: Engagement session: We met at a park in West LA. Beautiful pictures, all done within a 40 min session. I did ask whether more time was needed but Behzad mentioned that he got what he wanted, so I didn't ask questions. In all honesty the pictures were beautiful and artistic however I was left feeling like we could have had more positions, maybe an outfit change, maybe even a different location to mix things up a bit, but again, I was happy with the pictures. What I wasn't happy with was my bra strap showing and him never telling me to fix it, and better yet not air brushing it out of the final album he made for my guests to sign on my wedding day. Attention to detail: not so much. Wedding Day: We had initially signed a contract asking for 2 photo and 2 videographers, but he sent 3 people to my hotel and 2 to our house where my husband was getting ready so that was an added bonus. I was getting ready at the Westlake Village Inn, and anyone who has been there can vouch it is one of the most beautiful and romantic hotels. Behzad was somewhat solemn and in a bit of a mood that day. He seemed a bit annoyed with the pace that we were getting ready at, and my family almost had words with him and the crew because they were sitting around and refusing to take pictures of the family that was at the hotel because they were waiting for the groom to come. Once my husband came we went around the grounds and took some amazing pictures and what I thought were videos. I remember specifically asking whether we had shots of the grounds so that our final video would have a "story" and I was assured that there was enough video. Our actual wedding was at the Los Robles Greens Golf Course, which is another beautiful venue with lots of greenery and natural beauty. I had ordered white lounge furniture and had asked that we incorporate them into our pictures but after the ceremony the entire immediate family was shoved into the small bridal room for our FAMILY pictures. There was enough room for a cough and a few chairs and our pictures have random pillows in the background and it just looks sloppy and messy. We then had pictures at the entrance gate with the family because we got tired of being stuck in the small room, and those have shadows on our faces and half of us are squinting because the sun is in our eyes. The pictures of our first dance are absolutely amazing because we have great lighting from the sunset and such, but there is no picture of myself and my husband at the sweetheart table I worked so hard to design, no pictures of people at their tables...things you would expect as routine. The video from the ceremony was pretty bad and had to be re-edited because there was a lot of background noise and screeching going on. The second time around things were better but the person editing the videos basically used my own songs that I chose for my recessional and first dance to dub over the 6 minute vignette, without any ingenuity or artistic touches. He also cut from video of us dancing and went to us getting dinner and then cut back to the same song and people dancing....weird and disjointed progression in a video if you ask me. Trash the dress: I spent a lot of money for hair and makeup, got back into my dress, convinced my hubby to get back into his tux, and met at Pepperdine for the trash the dress session. Things went ok there but the final video and photo proposal that was sent to us didn't even have those pictures incorporated, after 3 months of waiting. I emailed and complained and after another month the 'retouched' and 'reedited' photo and video was sent to us; still missing the videos of the hotel grounds that I had specifically asked for in writing several times, still having the weird sound effects during our ceremony, this time with random music during our 6 minute vignette which cuts off and restarts with another song, etc. Behzad is a great photographer but he didn't perform to his abilities, his video editing was sub-par, his delays were unacceptable, and the overall quality left me unimpressed. I'm saddened by this because he came highly recommended and we paid $$$ for this package, and I expected more professionalism and better management of the editing since he put his name on the end product.

The pictures are beautiful, and we really like our wedding video (especially the 20 minute version which has all of the highlights). The best part, however, would have to be the wedding album he put together for us. I've never seen an album with such great quality. It is truly breathtaking and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I gave Behzad 4 out of 5 stars as it took us a year to get everything. Part of it was my fault for not staying on top of it to select pictures to be printed, but it would have been nice if he reached out to notify me of what he needed to proceed. As long as you stay on top of it, I'm sure you will receive your pictures/video/albums back much faster. Overall, we are very happy with the memories Behzad helped us to preserve!

We could not have been happier with the results, and we are glad we went with Ciirca. Husin has been a pleasure to work with. With our hectic itinerary for the wedding day, Husin made sure he was familiar with the agenda, and was there to capture every moment of our wedding. Yourik, the owner, came highly recommened, not to mention on opposite coasts. We wanted the best of the best and went to Los Angeles for our Engagement session to see for ourselves! So cliche, but seeing is really believing! Prior to our arrangement, I spoke with Yourik multiple times in great detail, it was the first time we had a photo shoot, and prior to our meeting we were a little nervous which is a given in this situation. However, when we met Yourik, Gevik, and Hamlet our chemistry was undeniahble and they are extremely talented. We planned to do multiple settings and themes, but there are only so many hours in a day. We had two days of photography and videography in multiple popular and secluded areas of Los Angeles! It was a blast, and could not stop laughing and smiling throughout the experience. With this preview, we couldn't wait till May! Some couples think engagement shoots are a waste of time and has no use at all. Well, think twice, you will regret it later. Also, we can't emphasize more on the importance of 'letting go' during the shoot. They were all great and really helped eliminate our timidity in front of the camera , and we were able to see each persons various photography and videography styles. When Yourik, Gevik, and Hamelt arrived in DC, they provided our engagement photo album and all of our images captured. The album was so beautiful and professional incorporating different photographs including many silhouette, candid and glamorous moments, we felt like we were in California again. All three combined various styles including cinematic, traditional, artistic, and Indigenous/ beach. We love the beach and would travel any opportunity we had, so it was like deja vu, they took us back 10 years to memory lane and brought our story alive through their photos, drone, and many candid photos, which is a very difficult task! The Album- we were all speechless when we saw our album; being that we had spread out the shoot two days incorporating different settings, time, and location, the pictures we were presented had iconic places as backdrops and were very surreal. They took creativity to a whole nother level which added glamour and sophistication ! For our wedding, Yourik and his team arrived at our bridal suite capturing various things including the beautiful romantic room our Planner Shamci and Youriks team created of my dress , my husband and his groomsmen getting ready, bridemaids and me getting ready, and dancing leading up to getting this party started. We proceeded to the Armenian Church to make it official where they captured so many beautiful images of the ceremony, guests, and family pictures. Following the Armenian ceremony, we returned back to the hotel to continues with the traditional sitting of the Persian Sofreh Aghad and reception. They were constantly by our side moving and captured EVERYTHING from all the tears, dancing and energy till the early morning hours! We were so pleased with our pictures and can't wait to see our video! My family and I can't thank them enough for capturing the priceless images and memories that they did! Keep calm and let go when you have Yourik, Hamlet, and Gevik! We spoke with over 10 different photographers for our wedding and once we spoke with him I knew that we found the one to capture our special day in the best way possible. He shot our pictures for our engagement session and really got to know us and build rapport. Once we got our pictures back I was astounded by the engagement pictures and looked forward to what he would capture for our wedding. Come to the wedding pictures and they are beyond my wildest dreams. He gave us access to all the "raw" images that he captured at the end of the wedding night and then we received all the edited pictures back within a month of our date.
