Skip this place. Attitude from both bartender and waiter and for no reason because they weren't hot or cool. It's a crappy diner with a bar up front that's trying to be hip. The place is in desperate need of an update with the old Starbucks interior. My friend and I both ordered the 282 burger and got sick that night. I called in sick to work the next day because of it. The burger was small and didn't come with fries. For $10 at a diner, you should at least get fries with the slider size hamburger. Too many good places around to go here again. However many people are raving about the turkey burger so now I feel somewhat entitled to an opinion. And that opinion is that it's just okay. I love the burgers here, and all the bar food I've had has been good, too. The bar is cool, and cocktail specials are innovative and delicious. Service is good bathrooms are good, bar area is nice if not a little exposed (mostly backs to the flow of traffic). The seating area is small but usually sufficient, and the sweet patio out back is great in nice weather. Sometimes there can be some wild little ones jumping around. I hardly ever venture into Brooklyn. Not because I have anything against it...we are simply on polar opposites of the world and the commute is just a major headache. But I decided to take one for the team with this one. Let me start out by giving you fair warning... WARNING: If you are planning on heading out after eating here...I suggest you bring a change of clothes and possibly a bottle of shampoo! You WILL smell like you were rolling around in ground beef. The restaurant itself doesn't smell (it actually smells delicious) but unfortunately, it is rather small..and the grease from the grill just somehow gets embedded into your hair and clothes. Other than that...the "Pub Burger" is EVERAY-THANG! I love a good burger and this has put the icing on the cake. Juicy, plump, cooked to perfection. The onions were awesome! I could just eat a pile of the onions! The bacon was cooked PERFECTLY!! Wasn't hard and dried out like I was expecting it to be. Their special sauce was made by Jesus himself! I literally licked my fingers after I was finished. The drinks were...ehhh...mediocre. I had the Pomegranate Margarita (or was it passionfruit)...either way it was small, and WAY too strong. My friend had the mojito and it was pretty much a glass of lime juice. I wasn't there to drink, and I wouldn't recommend making it a night there. The outside patio looked adorable and the place was pretty packed, but we were seated quickly. Onion rings were ok. I've had better. I gave Two 8 Two...four stars because their burgers were so damn good. I would go back..but only for a quick bite to eat. read more

Two8Two burger was delicious especially if you like peppers, which I DO! Only downside is the burger was a bit pricey considering it was a little small and didn't come with french fries or any kind of side. Which for $10 I feel like they could at least throw me a gourmet pickle. It was definitely worth it and the burger is made with all fresh ingredients, it's not greasy at all. But I wouldn't say this is the best burger I've had and I'll continue searching for my favorite brooklyn burger spot. read more

i was in the neighborhood and did a search on bars and decided to stroll over to this place for a drink with a friend... what sold me on this place was the $6 sainte germaine (one of my favorite liquors) drink special... mmmm... it was YUMMY!! my friend ordered the bloody mary special and it came with bacon flavored salt on the rim... yes, you heard me correctly... i'm talking BACON! bacon is good with everything but it's AWESOME with bloody marys... especially the version here where they made it extra spicy with habaneros, another bonus was the PICKLE... woo hoo... i almost wanted to just steal my friend's drink but loved my drink too... high quality drinks for an awesome price. looking at the rest of their drink menu, i was impressed with the choices... there was a wide selection of stuff that me-likes-very-much. i shall be back to try more... now on to their burgers... they're small, but leave you full... so you're not suffering too much from food coma. if you're here between thurs-sun... get the LAMB BURGER!! it's delish! a perfect blend of juicy lamby goodness, tzatziki sauce, and soft bread. i was also able to try the two8two burger with poblano chilies cuz i like my stuff hot. the chilies were seared perfectly so that they provided a bit of heat but was not overpowered to the point where you don't taste the burger. just for the record... no i am not THAT much of a piggie to have two burgers. we asked the kitchen to split the burgers so we could try a bit of each and they were happy to oblige. KUDOS for that, less food surgery required on my part! over all the service rocked. we ate at the bar... and the bartenders are friendly and it's a relaxed atmosphere. lastly, the sweet potato fries, as opposed to the burgers... were of a generous portion. there was nothing left by the time we were done. needless to say, i loved this place!! read more

Two 8 Two is a hidden gem! I swear! The burgers are the perfect size and they are very juicy. They are not too big and not too small and they taste great! They don't have a greasy taste or oil dripping off of the bun and I appreciate that. The prices are also very reasonable. I also had the fries and onion rings and the fries are nothing special but the onion rings are good. My mom ordered the lemonade and the waiter said it was sweet, but it was just the opposite, Very, very bitter! My sister had her burger with their "special" sauce, but she said it was so good, she was using it for her fries lol. And if you are on a diet you can also order sweet potato fries. read more

I was in the area so a friend and I decided to stop here for a bite. Before I start I gotta say that you must get the Greek Fries, AMAZING!!!. Now on to everything else... The burger was great, I have had better but it was still really good. Why give them 4 stars and not 5.....? Because of my drink. It was almost the worst Mojito ever, my friend had something else which they weren't pleased with either. Maybe it was just an off day (Sunday).
