Margaritas were all ice cream, like drinking all the syrup out of a icee and just the ice is left. If that makes sense. Service was fair , had to wait for him to walk by to get service. Chip basket had paper , but there was like leftovers under the paper. Salada was good. Chips fair. The food was just idk , like wihole sale out of the bag. I'm so glad I discovered this little hole in the wall driving from Waco to Ft. Worth. I'm from South Texas so we're spoiled for good Mexican food but this place exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the have the real puffy tacos and not the soft greasy ones you get at a lot of places that serve puffy tacos. The chips and salsa were great, the enchiladas were great, and the complimentary bowl of beans were really good too! The only drawback is it's not in Waco or we'd be going all the time. The atmosphere here is great. It feels very homey and welcoming. I also appreciate that his son was contributing to the business and working during his Christmas Break. The service was great. They kept our chips and salsa full and our drinks topped off. The food also came out fairly quick. My burrito was good but it was HUGE. I didn't notice the burrito came with lettuce in the burrito, which wasn't what I was expecting. Next time I'll order with without the lettuce. All and all I was pleased. read more

In some ways very good but the cheese sauce they used for the chimichanga topping & cheese enchilada was clearly cheap canned cheese akin to 'Velveeta' or similar. My fajita beef chimichanga was mostly delicious except for that fake cheese topping & the fact that the meat was inconsistent... some pieces were tender but some were overcooked. Perhaps it was a mix of meat from lunch (we were there for dinner) & some newly prepared meat. The service was great & friendly but we were there on the early side for dinner & they weren't busy so the owner/manager/server (?) kept standing nearby our booth at the bar looking past us @ the tv & it always felt like we didn't really have the privacy I was hoping for especially since otherwise we had lots of space. read more

The service is always spectacular and what truly keeps us coming back. I have never had anything I didn't like, other than the queso! Crispy chicken tacos are delicious. The Loco Plate is really good. I also really like the amigo #4 plate. The cheese taco and enchilada always remind me of a favorite Mexican restaurant I went to growing up in Houston. The crispy beef taco is really good too. All of that being said, the very best thing here is the complimentary charro beans and Fideo soup! I like to get a scoop of both in the same bowl and mix them! So yummy. I have tried to make it at home and just can't pin down the exact flavors. OMG!!!!! My daughter and I ate like two Queens . We had a busy day of College shopping and preparation. As we returned to our hotel we decided to stop in for food (take out) 30 min before closing. Young lady that works there have us few suggestions. I ordered the steak, pepper and onion fajitas, tortilla soup and my daughter ordered carnitas. While we waited we looked around, this restaurant has a very simple low key rustic feel, looks like a family dive in place, not fancy by any means but comfortable. We received the food and rushed to the hotel 3 min away, we dove right in and my ohhh my it was so delicious. I enjoyed every bit and we ate all the food. It was well seasoned and just delicious. We highly recommend this place, with fantastic affordable food. read more

We stopped in while traveling and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and one of the best authentic restaurants I've been to. The building and street where it's located is very charming. The service was very quick and they were really attentive. We ordered the carne asada and grilled shrimp which were very tasty. They also have one of the best salsas! I will say if you are traveling through West you must stop in and eat at Two Amigos. Definitely one of the Best chimichangas I've ever eaten. The staff were wonderful and so polite. Maybe it's me, but I think everything, including their salsa would benefit from a bit more zip, zing, spice, heat, whatever you'd like to call it. I met my godson and best friend here for a quick bite, and we were really disappointed with the quality of a couple of food items. We got some cheese dip, and it tasted like melted Velvetta mixed with water. The tortillas tasted like overcooked and store bought. The quesadillas did look delicious and packed with meat, grilled onions and peppers. Service was pretty spot on and attentive.
