It wasn't too promising that they would have what we needed, but low and behold they had everything we needed to get our bikes back on the road. Karen and Kevin siblings (our guardian angels on earth) that were raised in the shop were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They gave us some advice on what we needed and prices were extremely reasonable and fair. The silver lining of our trip. They didn't check the post height on the caliper mount, and the posts were taller on the new fork than the original fork. Just needed to use one less spacer - but he didnt check anything. The brake failed on my very first ride and its a miracle i wasn't really seriously hurt. They also tried to remove the air gap cap with a pair of pliers rather than a socket, so its scratched like crazy. He never pointed it out to me when i picked it up and I happened to catch it when loading the bike in my truck. "oh yea, i meant to tell you about that" - sure you did. So much for my new $800 front fork. He took down the fork info and promised to send me a replacement cap. I received the wrong cap - now I have to chase him down for the correct part. He might have some good deals on new bikes, but a bicycle mechanic he is NOT.
