Excellent little restaurant. Chili's type atmosphere and food, but locally owned. They have live music, but I haven't been there when the music was going. I've had burgers, ribs, bbq chicken. Stoped by here on our way to Texas because of the great reviews. Entertaining atmosphere but the food was horrible! The wait staff was slow on getting drinks, it took almost 45 minutes to get our food, and for what you get it was super expensive! Best steak in Ardmore! Most tender filet. They offer an Aubrey salad that's not listed in the menu. If you love a great Italian salad, this is worth a getting. Had grilled chicken,baked potato,carrots and salad. Carrots had some ginger and were great. Underwhelmed by blue cheese vinegrette dressing. So I was craving some fried Cajun/Louisiana style food. I stumbled across this restaurant! Now at first I was thinking what restaurant would want frogs as a name or logo! Lol anyhow the decor totally doesn't match the restaurant but the food is GOOD! Our server was Apes and she was great! Try the fried crawfish tails as your starter. I know that may not sound good to those who have never tried crawfish but this dish was good! I'm not a fan of frog legs but I was told it was good! The ribs were tender and the fried shrimp was good and crunchy! They used cocktail sauce to dip a lot of the fried foods which to my surprise I actually liked the cocktail sauce this time.I was not impressed with the catfish and the pecan pie. Our assumptions in Ardmore, Oklahoma were somewhat low and upon entering we expected the food to be marginal at best. After being very kindly greeted and served quickly our food blew away our expectations. The atmosphere was great with lots of classic rock memorabilia and posters from some great bands and artists that have played there over the years including 38 special and Willie Nelson. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the cotton candy mountain was a fun and unique item that none of us had ever seen. For Ardmore, it was a real surprise while just passing through. I can't tell you how many times we've driven by this place on our way to Wichita. Ardmore is such a friendly place in Oklahoma. This time we decided to give it a try. I'm not a fan of Frog Legs, so the name threw me off.. but after looking at the reviews on yelp I saw some great items that piqued my interest. When you walk in you're greeted with a long counter (at the back) and they're ready to get you seated. The aroma is amazing! The place if painted red with black accents. They're playing blues music, while rows of tvs are covering games. The place is busy. It's a local who's who. The menu offers lots of catfish, crawfish and burgers and salads and heavier entree's if you want. I went with a blackened chicken Caesar salad and my hubby had an incredible burger. The portions were enormous and the free sides they offer make it not only a crazy value, but almost too much to eat! They don't list the sides on the menu so your server goes over them. Regulars know what they want. Loved this place. Truly a gem. Can't wait to make it our stop every time. read more

Bad problem resolution. We had a booth near the kitchen entrance. A sever spilled salad dressing on my wife. While they were cleaning up the mess, they ignored my wife's situation. They offered a couple apologies and napkins but quickly moved on Wed talked to the onsite site manager whow indicated that this happens because the food (and salad) dressing slides off the plate. He offered only apologies but quickly moved on to other issues. No offer for cleaning or any thing else. Bad management. read more

I've seen this place just off I-35 for years but didn't eat there until our drive to Lake Texoma this weekend. I was unimpressed with the menu items but chose the grilled chicken salad assuming that you can't mess that up, but,alas, the chicken tasted odd and the "mixed greens" were mostly iceberg lettuce. From the watered down ranch dressing with the appetizers to the raw burger I was served (supposed to be medium well). My hubby, his friend, and I all came to Ardmore last weekend for a short weekend trip. 2 Frogs was one of the best parts about it. First and foremost, our server (I unfortunately can't remember his name - all I remember is he was from Bethany, close to us near Yukon.) He was hands down the BEST waiter I have ever had. So personable, very knowledgeable with the menu, and refilled our drinks as soon as it was needed. We raved about him as we left, just wonderful customer service. Secondly, the FOOD. Wow! It seemed like we ordered the whole menu but it was worth it. We started off with the homemade chips and salsa along with the fried crawfish tails. Both didn't last long - giant portions but they were too good not to eat as fast as possible! My hubby ordered his meal and it came with a side of coleslaw. I'm not a fan of coleslaw but my, oh my, I was then! I even ordered me a side to go with my meal. I got the Bayou Chicken Sandwich with a baked potato. It was delicious. To end everything, we all split a apple dumpling. My husband said he'd take the 2 hour trip back JUST for that. The icing was literally the icing on the cake, or more-so the dumpling. Everything is marketed as Cajun... I wouldn't necessarily classify it as that (as a Cajun from South Louisiana), but the food is good.

A little piece of Cajun Country right here in Oklahoma! Hubs and I split the Shrimp Trio with rice and two salads. First, we had the salsa and chips. Homemade salsa delicious and we had to get the remainder of the bowl in a to go because it was such a big serving. Next up, the salad with the Blue cheese vinaigrette. This was awesome. Try it you will like it. Our favorite of the shrimp trio was...you guessed it, the Voodoo shrimp. In our family we call it barbecue shrimp. Really good with the rice. Be sure to sop up any leftovers with the bread. Next favorite shrimp was the awesome fried shrimp. Nice crunchy texture made the shrimp outstanding. Acceptable for Ardmore. They were fantastic at accommodating our baseball team even when members were straggling in. The food took a while to get to us, but it happens with 25+ people. The atmosphere is great! They sometimes have bands playing and the overall atmosphere is great. I found the wait staff on the night I went to be below average. That particular evening, I ordered a salad for dinner with a honey mustard dressing. It was the worst salad I had ever had. The dressing tasted like it was 90% honey and only 10% mustard. I imagine having a salad with honey as dressing, and this was basically what I had. I could not even finish it. To be fair, I had eaten there before, and it was OK, but this literally left a bad taste in my mouth. I doubt I will return. read more
