I love that we have a local shop that serves up great desserts and guilty pleasures!…read more The place is small but inviting and clean. They have a patio outside which can be used during the hot summer months while you enjoy a refreshing dessert. They did some changes inside which allowed them to put more tables! BONUS!! They have a variety of good eats and some are depicted with pictures on the wall. I absolutely love this because it allows me to visualize what it is and I think it entices you more. I'm sure there are hundreds of mix & matches they can do but these pictures definitely gives you a head start. The service is friendly and incredibly fast. I think the price was reasonable for our 4 picks. It came out to about $14 total. I've paid more for just 2 rolled ice creams in San Antonio. So not bad in my book. Take away: -Shaved coconut sorbet: smooth, light and has pieces of coconut with every bite. This brings me back to being on a beach in bora bora sipping on a piña colada. Incredibly refreshing and vibrant. -Strawberry Italian Ice: again refreshing, light, packed with a strong strawberry flavor. My daughter ate it all and she rarely ever does. - chocolate ice cream: blue bell ('nuf said) - Pineapple Paradise: one word...AMAZING! If you love pineapple, strawberry and coconut, this is your treat! It has coconut ice cream (not sorbet) wIth bite sized strawberries and pineapple filled to the top! The ice cream was velvety with pieces of coconut throughout. I believe it came with a strawberry syrup like sauce. Either way, this was a winner in my book! I'd highly Recommend it if you love those three ingredients! This only comes in medium size and it's plenty to share with 2 people but I'm selfish and would rather keep this to myself. For a quick change from DQ or something typical, come here insteafor your treats! We support local businesses, So keep this place alive Devine!

I feel as though the treats could've used more time into the flavor and texture than the aesthetics. I'd rather have a better tasting croissant than one with gold sprinkled on it, just not necessary. It also doesn't justify charging $46 for 6 little treats that are not fresh. Outrageous especially when your competitors charge more than half that price for a dozen treats and they taste better. It also wouldn't be so upsetting if prices were posted anywhere in the shop so I should know to taste one first to see if it was worth it. Overall I'd say drive down the street to the next bakery. Unless you like spending a lot on something average. Overall this place does have potential and I'd like to see it improve for a possible future visit. The best thing I tried was the cookie and that's the easiest thing to make.

The young lady running it was such a kind, sweet & patient woman, helpful & willing to answer all my questions about the pastries & goodies. They had baked goodies with fruit, custard, crumble topping, & even edible gold if you're feeling extra special the day you're getting your treats. (I'll be feeling extra next trip for sure. ) Today, apparently, my taste buds were craving all things flaky & crusty. So, I ended up with four different types of croissant style treats. Which is no shock, I do love croissants. The apple pecan just called my name, it smells like a freshly baked apple pie from your Mom's house. So for this Pi Day, this was my choice! Next I snapped up the almond croissant, cinnamon sugar croissant & lastly savory one to try out - their ham & cheese croissant. I have to admit - these put the ones I used to get back home in Wöllstein to shame. These are phenomenal. Their croissant dough is laminated with perfection. I plan on coming back until I try everything. I do have a favorite bakery in San Antonio, and I like one in Castroville, but it's an old fashioned one. I can tell you Baked is absolutely worth stopping by, take note of their hours Thursday - Sunday, worth remembering. When you're in the area get you some amazing baked goods at Baked. You will be glad you did. Worth it!

I arrived at the store and asked for the guys name, he told me he does not have to give me his name, and then closed the window laughing. A few minutes later a lady come to the window saying she was the manager and defended him without even apologizing once. She said they don't have to answer the phone branding Dairy Queen because if the person doesn't know who they are calling, then they should not be eating at all. I then asked for my money back and she told me no and closed the window. I am so disappointed and this is not the first time I have recvd horrible customer service at this location.

If your in a hurry go inside. I did discover a nice little treat for these cold winter days. Their chicken and dumplings are pretty good. I had no idea they even had them on the menu. They're probably a winter only thing, but there definitely worth trying. The dumplings were as good as any I've ever had. Very creamy and peppery, just the way chicken and dumplings should be. I would rate them an 8 out of 10 with 10 being the chicken and dumplings served at Acadiana in San Antonio. 10 out of 10 if there was more chicken, but still a very tasty treat on a cold day. So if you find yourself in Devine and you're wanting chicken and dumplings, head over to the Dairy Queen and enjoy a surprisingly good meal. They come in three sizes small, regular and large. If your serving more than one get the large. They may have chicken and dumplings at all Dairy Queen's, but I'll leave that up to you to discover.
