Love Chica's. The glazed-cinnamon twist is my kryptonite. I thought cinnamon rolls were the pinnacle, but this twist is WOW. The cinnamon rolls are also very good and I'd be lying if I said I haven't gotten both at once. Alway enjoy the selection, variety and availability throughout the day. Only "negative" I would give is the price. Chica's pricing is well-above that of a local panaderia, which can be a bit shocking given the location's area. Still, the products are alway good and folks are excited for them when brought to a gathering. There's something to be said about price=quality and consistency.

I visited this donut shop for the first time and wanted to share my experience. I purchased a dozen donuts and two chocolate cream-filled donuts. I didn't realize that the dozen only includes glazed donuts, and that any specialty donut--chocolate or otherwise--costs an additional $2 each. It would've been helpful to have that clearly explained beforehand. The two chocolate cream-filled donuts were placed in a small brown bag, and unfortunately the chocolate coating stuck to the bag. By the time I opened it, the donuts looked messy and misshapen, almost like hotdog buns with a slit through the middle. In terms of taste and presentation, the donuts just weren't for me. I truly hope the business succeeds, but based on this visit, I don't think I'll be returning.

Stopped by to try the tamales and barbacoa. Prices are a little high at $20 for a dozen of tamales. The staff were friendly but uncomfortably pushy. The tamales were not bad but weren't good either we ate them but wouldn't return. The barbacoa was a little pricey at $15 a lb being that we ended up with a bunch of tomato chunks . I feel like this should have been mentioned at some point for the people that don't eat tomatoes. The barbacoa was kind of flavorful but full of grease . We gave it a try but won't be returning.

This is the closest bakery to me. I really wanted to love this place as it's a small business. Service is always great but sometimes can be pushy with asking if we want other items when we say we have come for this or that. The chicken tamales is probably the only thing I'll come back for. They were fresh went I came to get them on Thanksgiving. Very tasty! I'm so sorry Chica.. I'd have to say I will not come back for sweet bread. The bread tastes a bit off, all of the pastries were old.. possibly a day or two old. Two of them had cream and the cream smelled bad. It's also expensive as we got 8 pastries for $21!

    That's a box of dreams.

I absolutely, 100% recommend this amazing bakery. Fresh tacos, sweet bread and more. Friendly service and Chica will offer delicious treats if you don't know what to get. The box of donuts she put together was beyond delicious.

What a Cuu lil' Spot on the Southside of town! Full of Vibrance from the onset. The building is painted in an Array of Beautiful Bright Turquoise, Pink, Yellow. Equally refreshing once you step inside the establishment. I came for the Concha Panini Ice Cream Sandwich & it Did not disappoint. Also, purchased an array of cookies, and more sweet bread. I have now found My Go To for Pan Dulce!!!

$26 dollars worth of Pan Dulce! RIDICULOUS!

$20 for 5 pieces of sweet bread and 1 small box of hojarascas. Bread has a strange flavor, none taste fresh. Wouldn't come back.

We were given menus to look at while we waited so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The baked goods aren't on the menu, so when we walked by the counter filled with croissants, kouign amann, bear claws, apple pie, cheese cakes, it was hard to choose what we wanted!! We ordered: the Alamo Burger: a 8 oz wagyu beef smash burger , served with a fried egg, caramelized onions, cheese on a crispy croissant bun. It was incredible and worth the 15-20 minute wait! Almond croissant - a monster sized, flaky croissant with a generous almond filling. Guy Fieri highlighted this croissant on his DD&D show. It's probably a million calories not worth it! Tequila strawberry tres leches croissant - a small, cream filled croissant with strawberries. This was our least favorite. My husband didn't like the filling, I didn't like the sogginess of the croissant. Coffee - really good brewed coffee with free refills. We plan to go back a few more times while we're in town!!

Instead, they offered a promo where if you buy a cheesecake jar, you got a free drink. Score! I tried the tres leches cheesecake, and it was delicious! It wasn't too sweet, which was great. I do wish the layer of cake was a bit taller. I do love how the cheesecakes come in a glass jar so I can reuse it, but you can also save them and give them back when you accumulate 10 for a free jar of cheesecake. As for the drink, I got a dragonfruit strawberry matcha latte. It was pretty good, but I felt like the strawberry was a little overpowering and I couldn't taste the dragonfruit. The cheesecake + matcha for $7 is a great deal! The workers were so nice, and I really love the logo of this place. Great local business to support!

The place itself was nice and clean and the setup is cute. There are only a few seats inside but I think more meant to take on the go. The ladies there were very nice to us and explained the different cute cheesecakes they had in these little mason jars. They do have glutten free, sugar free options too if you are the type of person needing to watch what you eat. They all looked really cute but settled on a tiramisu. I wont lie I did get thrown off on taste at first since my thought keep me thinking it wasn't a cheesecake but it tasted good. I did bring it home to chill it more and tasted even better. I also had this mix berry match that was good as well. I think this place is definitely worth trying for any cheesecake lovers out there. Good coffee drinks too.
