I came here for breakfast along with my daughter and her husband. I live in Lytle but had never been to Naomi's before, what a pleasant experience it was. The waitstaff were excellent. Our drinks were brought to the table and our food order was taken promptly. Granted, our food orders were not complicated. I had the breakfast special which was perfectly cooked. My daughter and her husband had breakfast tacos and they both raved about how good they were. The restaurant was very clean and the people were very friendly. I would recommend Naomi's Diner to anyone. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Great spot for breakfast! My chilaquiles taco (added cheese) was tastey. The red sauce was really good w/ it. The pork chop and Chilaquiles tacos were excellent as well. This is a locally owned spot. When you walk in, the atmosphere reminds me of my mom's home. I was adopted so my mom was a little older than most parents with kids my age. But, with that said I felt so comfortable. The food was great, it was a little after lunch and almost closing time. The service was sweet, the owner was there. And it's a no phone zone lol. Soooo, that was nice. You actually can engage in conversation with the people at the table instead of being wrapped up with your nose in your phone. Nice farm ambiance, great and friendly service. Order came out quickly and they did not skimp on the serving size. Everything we ordered was delicious; I wish I had taken photos. We ordered the pancake breakfast which came with scrambled eggs and choice of meat. We also had a meat lover's omelette with veggies. Lastly, we had one papas rancheras taco and an order of biscuits and sausage gravy. Nothing was left on our plates! Very reasonable pricing for all we ordered. We love going to local small town restaurants to show support for our local businesses! I've always passed by this place and have been intrigued with what they offered. My husband wanted to try it as well but we weren't sure if it was opened. It was 1:15pm and they close at 1:30pm. The server was incredibly generous, kind and her customer service went above and beyond. I had asked if they were closed and she said Naomi would never turn down a customer. They allowed 2 More parties after us to join and by this time it was about 5 mins to closing. I'm not sure why it closes so early but, who I believes I the owner, talked to some other out of towners and explained she used to close at 2:30pm but we didn't know the reason why. The decorations around the room are designedly Country folk Living! You can tell it's a very laid back atmosphere. You can tell who the locals are from hair observing how comfortable they were just sitting and talking. There's definitely a sense of community here. The place is clean and observes most COVID related concerns except for the gentlemen who brought our food out without a mask. The servers were all wearing Masks and they even ask that you not put your to go drinks on the counter where you pay. If you're particular about hygiene during this time then I'd consider calling ahead and asking. What we ordered: 1.) chicken friend chicken with mashed potato and corn; the chicken was fried perfectly But lacked in a kind of flavor or seasoning. The gravy was a sloppy mess with no flavor and little to no seasoning. The mashed potatoes reminded us of boxed mashed potatoes. It had zero seasoning and the corn was just from a can. It was edible but certainly not a dish I'd coming running back to. 2.) hamburger with fries; the fries, on initial bite, Was amazing. they were seasoned well, crispy and fried perfectly. The only probably I had was one of the following either it was because I ate too many that after a certain number it became too greasy or when it started cooling down, it just didn't taste the same? The burger was cooked well, the bun perfectly toasted. However, the hamburger bun to patty ratio was completely off. The patty was too small for the bread and quite deceitful. It still had a good grill flavor but it certainly Wasn't the best hamburger I've had. If I could have given 1/2 a star more I would have because their service was impeccable! They were so accommodating but the food should also reflect this! Your cooks should Taste their food always! Would I come back? That's hard to say. I'm Not sure because the food should speak As loudly as your servers were (in a positive way). read more

I was going to this restaurant with my family until I got a long hair in my barbacoa taco that was a take out order. Until then, the food was good. Not great but good enough for me to enjoy eating there when I did go IN to eat. The servers were always pleasant and the inside reminded me of Grady's. The bathrooms have a changing station but it could be wiped down more often. The toilets themselves... I have never seen them dirty. But since the hair incident, we have decided it's no longer a place for us. read more

Nice cozy atmosphere with lots of wall hangings. When I entered, I was very welcomed by the waitress. Looked like some locals having their morning coffee as well (more later). Bacon, eggs, toast ordered and cooked to perfection, and the service was outstanding. Remember the coffee drinkers earlier? They have signs posted all over regarding no cellphone use, which is fine by me. Why, because some of the older residents wear hearing aids and they pick up the sound louder and it bothers the users. Worth the small detour off I-35! Amazing food and great service! The chicken fried steak was perfect, the biscuits wonderful and the salsa was on point! This is a can't go wrong decision!! Oh and the tea and coffee are just as great as the food and the service! My suggestion is make the detour!! read more

I was no impressed with breakfast. The tortillas were thick & the beans did not taste fresh. I also had an oat meal, the oat meal was good but the portion was small. The small portion may be due to the COVID-19 situation since they were using disposable plates. However, I was disappointed that 2 out of 4 waitresses were not using a mask. I was not happy that they approached my table few times to bring the food & refilled the coffee. I will no go back to this restaurant. read more

Used to be a favorite place. Great food and service. Totally surprised this morning for breakfast. Had some leftovers so asked for a to go box. Went to check out and noticed without warning a $.57 to go box charge. Asked what this was, and she said just started doing this. Said everyone was so why not her. Not sure about everyone else but first time I have seen this. If there was going to be a charge, then it should be stated when asking. Not a favorite anymore. Shame a really nice place. Out of towners, we stopped before a football game. Great hospitality, great food, nice size portions and clean establishment. Hamburger steak was fantastic. Carne guisada was perfectly seasoned; and unfortunately ate too much and didn't save room for the highly recommended desserts. read more
