I have never posted a review before in my life but felt the need to this time. Run from this company! To start they came over an hour late. Three men showed up. After stalling they finally get started. After a half hour, the ring leader comes to me saying that I would save money in the long run if I would let them call another guy at $60 per hour! He said otherwise this job is going to turn into an 11 hour job instead of 8. When I said "No" he proceeded to carry out one small toy at a time! This continues on until another guy drops 3 bins off a dolly. They were my collection of carousels from my late husband. Over twenty of them were broken! Irreplaceable!!! They only filled half the truck! I paid $2700 to move 45 minutes away. I didn't move any appliances, no couches, or living room tables. I did move 3 beds, 3 dressers and lots of boxes. But they could only fill half a truck? For $2700? Since I refused to pay more than that they stopped loading and said time ran out. Yes time ran out when they worked at a snails pace! What should have been one of the happiest days of my life turned into one of the worst! I spent the day crying over broken carousels. Scratched up dressers, called a liar and being ripped off! They are the worst! They took 5.5 hours to move less than 2 rooms of furniture 3 miles. Completely ruined a black wooden nightstand where one leg looks like it has been whittled to bare wood, the top of the nightstand all scuffed with scrapes of the black wood missing. The movers broke my Sleep Number Platform Surround Headboard and Frame. Then when they left they knowingly did not assemble the mattress so that it was properly full of air. They left fully aware of all this not saying a single word. When I spoke to customer service I was told the move took a bit longer because they had never moved this type of bed before. Well nobody ever told me that because I certainly would have never paid them or anyone $265 an hour to learn and to learn on my bed. I called spoke to their manager and wanted to know how they were going to make this right. She said they were going to send someone to look at the bed. In the meantime, I have disputed the charges with my credit card company and now they refuse to come look at the damages because they have not been paid in full. Well I feel if they are paid in full are they really going to make this right?? Ya, I don't think so...if you read this and all the other reviews - call ANYONE else but these guys!!! read more

I'm truly surprised by the bad reviews. My personal experience with Two Men and a Truck began in Daytona Beach where the closing on a home there was delayed because of problems with the buyer of the home. The Daytona Beach crew had to deliver our belongings to a Public Storage unit in Griffith where it was safely kept for three weeks. The Crown Point crew delivered our belongings in a 26' truck on time and did a fantastic job of loading and loading our belongings with the same respect and efficiency I've experienced on two previous moves (in Florida). Tony, Brendan, Cole an Jayden (spelling?) gave us the same friendly service we'd experienced with other crews from the same company. They actually went beyond my expectations because we had purchased the 3-level townhouse site-unseen other than thru Facetime with a local realtor. These guys didn't hesitate nor have an attitude when we decided to have two sets of coffee tables and end tables switched from the first floor to the second floor (yes, there were stairs to deal with for these guys). They were awesome, and yes, I was fairly generous in showing my appreciation with a respectable amount of compensation, actually adding to the original amount I had already planned to give, even though this company at no time promoted adding any kind of gratuity. I also have to add that working with Jasmine in the office with the scheduling started with a bit of disagreement on what the move would entail. She had figured our listed items would require two trips, regardless the Daytona Beach crew did it all with one truck. In the end, it was all settled as I had assured the lady and our cost was considerably (very much so) that what the original cost had been quoted. I assure you, there was never a moment of contention about the cost because from previous use of Two Men and a Truck I had little doubt that their business practice is fair and respectful. This was truly a pleasant ending to what had been a nightmare experience caused by arrogant "cash buyers" for the Florida home where they ended up having to accept a loan in excess of 8.6%. I might also add that I used Public Storage in Griffith rather than Two Men and a Truck storage because they had no open storage units at their Crown Point location. I know this is a rather long review, but it is submitted with honest integrity. The buyers in Florida (in the NASCAR business) put our family in such a near nervous breakdown state that this review is truly necessary. read more

This is ironic. I can't leave a review on their website. I came here instead. While they only allow positive reviews on their website! I have used this company before. I thought they were fantastic. Wow, did I get taken advantage of this time. I will make this as brief as possible. They shattered my 55 inch TV, scraped and scratched my dining room table, bent the metal stand on my living room TV, bent my entertainment center, shattered the glass on two boxes with red tape marked fragile, they ruined the door at my previous place, left the gates wide open, had zero respect for anyone's property! I just finished unpacking 18 days after the move. Therefore, I started seeing things every day since the move. I'm older and don't move like a 22 year old. I called and was told it was to late for a complaint. I legally only had 96 hours from the move date. I moved May 1st 2023. Today is May 19th. I gave these young men a very generous tip. They were kind and delightful. So I thought!!! The company itself could have cared less. They were legally no longer responsible. So who cares what I have to say???? PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! They seem so legit. However, you could very well end up like myself. This company will NEVER be used by friends, family or co workers! Bad seeds. Please don't be a victim of this trash! High prices doesn't mean better service. This company is racist, homophobic, and extremely out of touch with reality!! They don't care about you, your belongings, or your feedback! I generally avoid reviews, but I feel there's enough here to warrant a post. Here is a list of things that happened and how they were or were not resolved. 1. Movers arrived late. Did not charge for the time they weren't there. 2. Movers dropped and broke a bin full of office supplies. It was a cheap plastic bin and I told them not to worry about it. 3. Movers lost the hardware for my bed frame. They offered to take off 15 minutes of time or to fill out a damage report. In filling out a damage report, they told me I would have to wait over a week for someone to come look at the bed frame to replace the hardware. I was not willing to sleep with my mattress on the floor for a week. They took off more time to resolve the issue. 4. Mover tried to charge me for 7 hours. They worked from 8-2. This is 6 hours. I had to correct him. 5. Movers forgot to move some items in a room. They loaded it in the back of their truck even though one of them expressed concern about what would happen when they opened it up. Surely enough, one of the items that was dropped and broken was a Bowflex Adjustable Dumbbell. When I bought these in 2015, they costed $300. I was asked to provide a picture of the damage as well as a receipt. I did this and they offered me $60. This was justified by a man named Thomas Shane because, according to him, exercise equipment depreciates at 20% per year. If you know anything about depreciation or have taken an Algebra 1 class, you know that the math doesn't add up. After talking to him a few times and two other people, they felt that $60 was appropriate. 6. I was never contacted about my damage report. About 3 weeks after my move, I had to contact them about these issues. I don't know if this was an oversight or if they were just trying to get away with doing nothing at all for me. In all, there were a lot of things that went wrong with the move. All I asked for in all of this was to be compensated appropriately for the damage to my dumbbells. If this post sways even one person from using them as their movers, then I will have already taken more money from them than what I was supposed to be given. read more

This place is unreal. Two guys came to move my friend from basement into her new condo in the same subdivision. It's a five minute drive from A to B, literally. She told the movers how the last movers went out basement, up yard and into truck and it seemed easiest for them. Also, new concrete driveway so they were to park in the street (60 more feet) to prevent oil spots. They get in truck, say they'll be right back and nothing. 45 minutes later, someone from the office calls to say they walked off the job because they were being forced to walk in mud ( yard was not muddy at all). The person named Mike, then proceeds to tell her they have trucks and drivers but will send no one because my friend got upset and told them she's giving them a bad review. So stuck with plans to move and no other company available last minute. The, she calls corporate on next business day and is told they're independent and they can walk off any job ?!? Garbage company with garbage customer service. Not to mention they were way high priced to begin with. Avoid them! read more

Step 1: Find another move company, Two Men and a Truck Valpo / Crown Point should be avoided at all costs. I wish I would have read the reviews first and taken heed. A simple move from a 2bed/1ba apartment to a storage unit just 20 min away took almost 12 hours and cost almost 150% of the original price estimate they provided. Their movers were slow, unorganized, confused, and not professional. I saw them at several times during the day taking breaks, talking on phones. The "professional" packing service left items unpacked all through the house. The movers were unprepared and had to call back twice to the office for additional supplies to be sent. Upon sharing feedback with the management, they made additional excuses for their staff instead of accepting any responsibility. This shows me that substandard work is accepted by management and any other move by this company will continue have similar problems and issues. I acknowledged that my move was not the most simple with the scheduler and the manager, I expected the work would be closer to the higher end of the time range they provided. But watching the staff struggle to get things done, leaving unpacked items everywhere, being completely unprepared and moving at a snails pace, it was clear to me that this was the wrong choice and they were in completely over their heads. At the end they overshot even the high end of the time range by several hours. Unless you want a half a$$ move at twice the cost.. you need to quickly find another move company. read more

Let's see where to start i moved back in July i used this company thinking they was legit professional and had there Shit together the sent a crew of three they started around 8am but they brought the wrong truck sent a team they was no older 22 or 23 nothing wrong with that but they steady texting on there phone the whole time but I'm paying for the service smh fast fwd to December i go to take my furniture out of storage i notice that it's just thrown it there any type of way fish take under mattress which i dangerous if you don't know it's there of course it fell over and broke tape from them was directly applied to wooden table when moved it came off with pieces of table top coat dents in all of my furniture which is brand new there is a line in my 60 inch tv which means they probably dropped it stay away i will be filing the proper paperwork to go after them i asked for a full refund they contest it like they not liable read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give them a rating of -10 I would. They are overpriced and clearly let lowlifes work with this company with no repercussions. The way this business is ran is almost laughable. My family used this company over the weekend for an outrageous price. 3 guys were used to move my mothers stuff into her new home. Something that should have been exciting and full of delight. Well, that couldn't be any father from what happened. Later that evening one of the movers was found wandering around our street. Thankfully one of our neighbors saw him and asked what the heck he was doing at 10pm. He OPENLY said he was one of my moms movers looking for her house. Needless to say the cops were called. He was found AGAIN leaving my moms backyard that next morning. He was spotted for the third time later that day and the cops were called another time!! They chased him down on foot and he was detained for a few hours. But since he wasn't "caught doing anything illegal" he was let go. So after 3 police reports, down $550, and many calls to this company, nothing has been done and this man is STILL EMPLOYED! And they have the nerve to say this was all a misunderstanding and refuse to reimburse my family any amount of money. These people are going in your home and are around your family and children. I think it's pretty clear that not much of a background check are done on these workers. So do yourself a favor and take your business and money elsewhere! read more

I hired them to help me move my mother's possessions out of her condo after she passed away. I live in Nebraska and had to travel to Indiana to facilitate the move. I hired them a month before the move date and they sent me emails every other day to confirm the move and to give me tips on packing. THE DAY BEFORE THE MOVE, AFTER I HAD TRAVELLED TO INDIANA TO MEET THEM, THEY CANCELLED THE MOVE! I was just told that they couldn't do it. I assume that they got a bigger job? They left me hanging.
