This continues on until another guy drops 3 bins off a dolly. They were my collection of carousels from my late husband. Over twenty of them were broken! Irreplaceable!!! They only filled half the truck! I paid $2700 to move 45 minutes away. I didn't move any appliances, no couches, or living room tables. I did move 3 beds, 3 dressers and lots of boxes. But they could only fill half a truck? For $2700? Since I refused to pay more than that they stopped loading and said time ran out. Yes time ran out when they worked at a snails pace! We used Ferree movers for packing an instate move and their storage facility for one year. The move…read morewent well, and the moving staff were nice and respectful. However, when we had our belongings moved out of storage to our next home, trouble began. Items were missing, such as power cords to TVs and frame mounting hardware for our beds. I had to purchase these items. They did have someone come back and put the beds together. When unpacking we found numerous broken items. Some were glued back together such as a bed post and cabinet drawers to our dresser while others were just broken plates and bowls. They didn't do a good job packing our things and were not organized in keeping items together such as the cords and hardware with the furniture. The worse part was the customer service. I have called over 20+ times and sent emails but have not gotten one response. Once we paid for the services all communication ended. I was only looking to be reimbursed for the broken items that they packed and moved. To me, that would be the right thing to do. They should have contacted me to ask how the move went and if we had any issues. I shouldn't have to spend time out of my day to contact them. I understand things can happen during a move, but there is no excuse not to respond to follow up after a move. If you are looking for movers, I don't think you can trust Ferree Movers of Crown Point to do the right thing if something happens to your furniture, appliances, fixtures, etc. I wouldn't use them again in any capacity due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service.
