I could not be more pleased with the way my move was handed today. The movers arrived right on time and worked quickly but were sure to wrap and protect my furniture in the process. Because many of the items to be moved were new and still in shipping boxes, the move went quickly and as promised, the estimate was adjusted to reflect the hours worked. I left a good review previously unknowing what I would find when I unboxed my belongings. If I could leave a zero I would. This franchise located in Gainesville Florida moved me from Gainesville to Jacksonville and did what I thought was a good job initially. They put my things in a storage building and I'm just now getting them out seeing all of the damage that they did to my belongings. I paid extra for them to wrap pictures correctly and they were put in a box against each other scratching most of them. They also broke and scratched many pieces of my furniture. When speaking to the "manager" of the store he proceeded to tell me that I did the damages when moving from the storage building to my home. He had no regard for my belongings and made every excuse of why his workers did not do the damage. Run far away from this company they don't care about the customer. read more

Five stars for this local version of a national franchise. We have moved many times and I think have developed reasonable expectations about what constitutes good service. This team aced it all: Quick to provide a reasonable quote. Samantha in their office was easy to work with to arrange credit card payment. The three man team showed up on time, loaded quickly, and unloaded exactly as requested. They worked so efficiently that our actual price was significantly below the original quote, and the actual price was what we paid - just over $1,000 for a two bedroom apartment move with LOTS of boxes. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Two Men and a Truck. I moved into a new apartment a little over a month ago, and I could not be more grateful for the phenomenal customer service I received during every step of the process. I requested a quote on their website, and I received an estimate within a couple of hours. Everyone I talked to on the phone was extremely helpful and thoroughly answered all of my questions. The movers arrived right on time on the day of the move, and the cost actually ended up being significantly lower than the original quote. That said, their rates are very reasonable and totally worth every penny. Both of the movers were very polite, professional, and focused. I've lived in several other apartment complexes in Gainesville, but I'd always just moved all of my boxes either by myself or with a friend. These guys got the job done in a fraction of the time that it would have taken me on my own. Both my old apartment and my new apartment are on the 3rd floor, but that didn't seem to slow them down at all, even with the heat & humidity in the middle of July. I just watched in awe as they effortlessly lifted all of my heavy boxes, often two at a time, and only stopped for a couple of seconds at a time to catch their breath. Moving is pretty stressful, but they made the whole process exponentially easier for me. I will absolutely recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone I know who's moving. I recently used this company to help me move into an apartment. A pretty basic move. They unloaded my items from a trailer and helped re-assemble some of my furniture. The reservation process was great. They provided an estimate after finding out what items we had in the trailer. The estimate was then emailed to me. They were pretty booked up for that week but I was able to get a spot. The rate was very competitive. I called another mover but was more impressed with the reservation/estimate process of Two Men and A Truck. They had great review in Google too. Overall, I had a very good experience. Movers showed up on time and ready to work. They unloaded my trailer within a reasonable time and handled my belongings with care. They were very professional and worked efficiently. read more

This moving service was terrific. We moved a full house with lots of heavy furniture and boxes, and the two movers worked nonstop to get everything done. James and Drew were not only pleasant and cheerful, but they moved everything carefully and gently,and our furniture and boxes arrived with no scratches and nothing broken. (This is about unheard of for any moving company, let alone for a job the size of ours). They even borrowed our tools and disassembled a very heavy piece of exercise equipment once they found it wouldn't fit through the door (we hadn't been home for the delivery and had no idea that it didn't fit through the door, let alone how to assemble it). They really went above and beyond, and we still talk about what hard workers they were. The rate was very fair, but the excellent service level is what causes me to recommend this service so highly. read more

I have used Two Men And A Truck three times and the last time was the LAST time. They charged me $1300 to move a one bedroom apartment worth of stuff across town. They've figured out that if they use fewer guys (two guys instead of the three that they used the other two times they moved me), it will take longer and they can therefore charge more. So why should they send over 3 guys to do the job when they make more money sending over 2 guys and dragging out the job for 13 hours (yes, 13 hours to pack and move). Then one of the guys was a bit surly because I only gave them a $50 tip each. I can hardly blame him for being unhappy after doing 13 hours of back-breaking work, but I had also not expected to have to pay $1300 for an across-town job. Use somebody else or insist they guarantee their estimate. read more

Very professional and pain-free. They will charge for actual time spent moving, and they are fast and efficient about moving things while taking care of your furniture. I verbally described the number of boxes and furniture over the phone; while the estimator gave me a very conservative time estimate of 6.5 hrs to move a 800 sq ft one-bedroom apartment (I have a lot of books and shelves), in reality it only took 3.5 hrs and that's what they charged me for. Moving in my family & friends & I had issues trying to figure out how to get my oversized furniture up my U-shaped entry staircase. "Flip it this way, no that way!" We were frustrated, sore, hot, tired - NO fun. THANK GOODNESS I always see George at BANCF events, so I immediately thought of Two Men And A Truck when I knew I was moving out. Hiring them was the best decision I could have made! They're super affordable & charge you by the amount of time they spend moving you, so you don't even pay until you're all moved in. "Oh, then they will take their sweet time & eat up your wallet?" NOPE! Ben & Branden (my "Two Men") were in & out in 1/2 the time in the quote & prolly 1/10 of what it would have taken me & friends. "Movers Who Care" is not an empty slogan either! They were efficient, handled with care, had the BEST attitudes & genuinely cared about their job & performance. They were so sweet. I have used other movers before & this was by far the best experience. If you're moving out, use 2 Men and save yourself from the moving aches & pains...& headaches trying to figure out how to maneuver large furniture in tight spaces. This review is l-o-n-g overdo! I used this company in November 2009. I want to leave this review not only because the move was event-less (which really is a great feat), but because this is a rare company that will allow you to get a quote upfront, sign the papers (so it's now not an "estimate"), & there's no worrying about those miscellaneous charges at the end. (I.e. the move took longer than expected & the company underestimated the amount of furniture, etc, so we need additional monies.) We had to push for that set price, but eventually they agreed. A day after the move (which was fast & excellently executed), I noticed an extra bolt on the floor & phoned. Early on the following day, someone came out to discover where it went, which was a bunk bed. These men were efficient, friendly, & offered a service that was very reasonable/affordable.
