We trusted two men and a truck to move our personal items. I bought the workers Gatorade and tipped them $40 each. To my surprise they stole $270 out of my wife's night stand drawer in a clear container. The container had a lid on it so you have to physically open it to remove the cash. The money belonged to my seven year old who received it as a birthday present. Two men and a truck was notified but made zero effort to satisfy our loss. Hours later they finally managed to send someone, totally screwing up my day. DO NOT USE THE DELAWARE FRANCHISE OF TWO MEN AND A TRUCK!!! I used them to empty my first floor into a storage pod on my driveway. They sent 5 guys at 4pm who were more worried with getting out of there then doing the job. They didn't want to disassemble anything, there was no organization to their packing, luckily I had moved all of the sensitive stuff (electronics, TVs, etc.) myself. It was fortunate that the pod was staying in my driveway or everything would have been ruined in transit. They did damage an item in front of me and I made them call the office. Their manager "Ben" told the crew to take pictures and he would get back to me. He didn't. After two weeks of trying, I finally got a hold of the receptionist and was told I needed to take pictures to start the claim process. I did, They never confirmed receipt of my email. I called multiple times and left numerous messages and a month later I have still heard nothing through phone call or email. All phone options to transfer to the leadership of the franchise return error messages saying it can't be connected. I'm assuming this is headed to small claims court. I found this company very helpful from the beginning. After doing the self inventory online I got a quote that seemed a little wide in range. After a friendly phone call, they sent someone to our house for a walk through and came back with a reasonable quote. The move was two days, and both crews worked really fast and carefully. My experience was EXTREMELY HORRIBLE! The boys took their time packing up the boxes in the truck and played around so that the time could be increased in order for me to be charged more for the service. 90% of the boxes were already packed by me including suitcases so they didn't have much to pack. A job that should have taken 5 hours (packing up from one location and taking the boxes off the truck at another location took 7 hours instead of 5). Once I got to the second location for the boxes to be unloaded off the truck, they still took their time and played around once more. They complained that it was too much work and being sick, taking numerous trips to the restroom. One of the workers STOLE my smartwatch. They put the furniture wherever they wanted, and not where I wanted it to go. They left their garbage all around the place and I had to clean it up. At the end of the trip, another guy lied saying he had to pack up all the suitcases and bring them to my car which did not happen. He was getting loud, being rude and disrespectful towards me because I called him out on his lies, and defended myself from his disrespect. This "business" hires hoodlums, thugs and low-life's that do not know anything about customer service, are thieves, and do not know how to speak to women! I would never use this service ever again! Worst company I ever hired. Came late I had to call them to see where they were. Then they came looked at my house and left didn't even tell me they were leaving called the number they said my house was "unsanitary" because I own cats which they knew from the start. They didn't even ATTEMPT to move my furniture saying there was too much in the way which was the stuff to take it was my couch and tv stand they are the laziest people and having to put my card on file for them to cancel was extremely unprofessional & who tells their customer to come outside to walk them down their hall way any smart person walks inside the building to look for the apt number. It was supposed to be a three-man move, but one guy never showed. The other two were okay, were late showing up, and were there until midnight. The only reason they got done was they had to bring the whole company, so we ended up with 8 guys and they finally finished around midnight. and one of the older guys, way over 18, asked my 17-year-old daughter when she would turn so he could get her number or just give it to me now before my boss came back. I was grateful they sent everyone to help at first and gave them a nice tip, but if I had known what they said to my daughter and my bill being $200 dollars more, they wouldn't have gotten SH**. Missed cupboards and drawers in kitchen when packing and had to return early the day of moving to finish packing. Stopped moving when the allocated time for the move ended even though the move was not completed. Day two, wouldn't touch lawn mower, weed whacker or gas cans due to the possibility of fire, etc (Understandable however this was never discussed during the initial 2 walkthroughs, which included viewing the sheds). Would not move clay pots or plant pottery as it might break. Again, should have been discussed during walk through. The large pieces of furniture were moved without incident, which was wonderful, however the missing packing, leaving early and refusal to move items just caused additional stress to an already stressful 2 days. They told me no and that I should have "shut your mouth and have a nice day, sweetheart." After telling him don't call me sweetheart, he continued to do so. I had the New Castle DE team move me from a two bedroom apartment to a third floor condo and am very disappointed. It took three men and sometimes four men 9 and a half hours to move three miles. I moved two years ago from a town house with three floors and a basement and 45 minutes away in less time. These men were disorganized and one spent a lot of time either walking back and forth or on his phone. In addition, they did no assemble my bed properly so I had to have people help me do it right. I hired them to move a one bedroom apartment to a house. I don't have a lot of belongings, and had moved many of my smaller things including clothes by myself. The move took unnecessarily long - they took forever to pack the truck and then took even longer to get to the house, which was 15 minutes away - not during rush hour or any road construction. So then of course they charged me more because it all took so long. I have moved within large cities several times and a move has never taken this long. So disappointed, as they have done fine jobs for me in the past. In spite of their website claims of prioritizing client health, my movers on 7/22/20 refused to wear masks at my request for the 2-3 minutes they were interacting with me (I am high risk). Said it would be "too hard to breathe", although they were not doing ANY lifting, stairs, or effort more than sliding a crate on and off a pallet jack at grade for two minutes. Community spread of covid among asymptomatic people like them claiming perfect health is becoming an issue in DE. Furthermore they said although they DID have masks, but they would not be wearing them because I was wearing one, and if I ate right and exercised I could be healthy like them and not need a mask. This ignorance was compounded when I called the owner twice, and he made excuses saying he was not aware of the Gov's and DE Division of Public Health guidance recommending wearing cloth face coverings "in public settings" where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, offering no interest in respect for clients or an apology for his workers refusing my request, and saying he was not responsible for how I felt. All he had to do was say he would ensure clients comfort re: mask wearing would be respected. I used the Northern Delaware branch of Two Men and a Truck when I moved into my new home in March of 2020, and the experience was beyond awful. There were three movers assigned for the job, and everything was going as expected until I met them at my house. They arrived before I did, and although at that time they were parked in the street it appeared as though they hit my house with their truck (you can find the pictures in my review on Google). I asked all three of the movers (Warren, Kyree, and Andre) what happened and they acted surprised and denied causing the damage or ever having been in the driveway. I reached out to their boss and the owner of the Northern Delaware team Ben White, and he defended his employees and told me that I would have to find out if any of my neighbors saw anything on my own. Thankfully, several neighbors saw the incident and I proceeded to file a police report and enlist a lawyer. Only under threat of lying to the police did the driver (Warren) admit that he had backed the truck into my driveway and hit my home before I arrived. Ben called me asking why I got the police involved, to which I replied that he failed to hold his people accountable and told me that I'd have to conduct my own investigation to find out what happened. The damage was repaired 1.5 months later and my homeowner's insurance was able to get full reimbursement from the movers' insurance, but only after I had forced them to own up to what they did. I cannot recommend avoiding these people enough. The level of dishonesty and deceit they showcased was appalling, and I hope no one else goes through that level of unnecessary stress during an already stressful time. read more

I hired them to move my household goods from Newark to Maryland/DC area a month prior to my scheduled move. I was selling a house and buying a new one in the same day. Four days prior to the move, I called them to update my debit card and ask for additional packing services. During that call I was asked to update my inventory list and at that time was told I had too many items to fit on their truck. The next day I rented a uhaul truck and moved as many items as I could from my home into storage at my destination. I called them back to tell them I lightened the load and that everything should easily fit on the truck. The next day, 48 hours before the scheduled move, they called and told me they would not be able to move me because my move would take approx. 12 hours - from the time they left their site, loaded, unloaded, and returned to Delaware, and this would violate some DOT regulation. I was left with less than 48 hours to figure out how I was going to move out of the house I was selling. There were no trucks available last minute in practically all of New Castle county so I had to drive into PA to rent a truck (lucked out for a one way rental and a 30% discount because the lady I spoke to felt bad for my situation) and hired moving helpers for a couple hundred dollars to help to move the heavy furniture on the truck. Thankfully, the move was successful and for much less than this unprofessional company quoted. If you are moving, consider renting your own truck and hiring moving help for a couple of hours to do the heavy lifting. As for Two Men and a Truck, I will NEVER use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. You have been warned!! read more

The mover in-charge thought it was a good idea to remove the wrap from my son's dresser and all the drawers fell out and 4 broke. The dresser was a year old with no damage. They would not replace the dresser and gave me less than what I paid for it. I won't be using them again. read more

I had requested for a pack & move service. I provided an approximate estimate of inventory and stated that it was a town house with 3 levels. I insisted that a team come a day earlier and pack however it was insisted that things can be done on a single day. Not only the team was overwhelmed on day of move and I realized that they were not good at packing. At the end of the day they were unable to load all the stuff and left behind at least 20 unpacked boxes. Supervisor Troy was very unprofessional and belligerent on phone and he threatened me. One of the movers had a bad rt knee and was swollen. Overall I am disappointed with service provided and would never recommend Two men and a truck. read more

This is a tremendous moving company! I used them when I moved from PA to VA, and the move could not have gone better. I was able to get a quote and schedule a move very easily. I'm writing to say that TEO MEN AND A TRUCK were absolutely terrible!! I treated the movers great, but that's not what I received in return. They said all of our stuff wouldn't fit for 1 delivery, so we had to pay for 2 runs. After that 2nd trip , you won't believe this , but they left 4 boxes on the truck!!! They did not turnaround to drop them off and nobody called us!!!! So about 3 weeks later I called and spoke with the owner, and he told me I should have let him know sooner, I did not know sooner !!! He should have called us and delivered our4 large boxes that was never returned to us , they kept those boxes, we never saw them again. I'm telling others this to let you know that this company is really no class, and think 50 times before you would consider them. They gave us a good screw job. read more

We had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck! Jeanette was very responsive via email and very helpful when I talked to her on the phone. Initially I tried to get a packing material delivered but that actually turned out to be logistically challenging so went with just moving services instead. I reserved about a month in advance and I realized the night before I never got a confirmation email that they would be there! Dealing with cable companies has made me fear the no-call/no-show situation that is all too common. Luckily the next morning one of the movers called me 10 minutes before the arrival window that they had already arrived in the lobby!! The three movers worked extremely quickly and efficiently move our furniture and boxes including a cumbersome weight collection that we left scattered. They took care to protect all of our furniture and even warned us ahead of time that our Ikea dresser probably wouldn't make it through the move undamaged (it didn't... but it was nice to be warned). The best part was that they finished more quickly than the estimated time by a good 2 hours saving us some money off the already very reasonable estimate! Overall we thought dealing with them was straightforward and hassle free, and they worked efficiently and diligently to help us with a successful move. Thank you! read more

We used Two Men and a Truck from Wilmington moving from Keyport, NJ to Middletown, De. They sent Mike and Denis. They moved us from a 3rd floor walk up to the 2nd floor in Middletown. These guys were careful and quick. They had to carry the triple dresser up and down the stairs with it on end because of the turns on the staircases. Everything arrived without a scratch. The men were friendly and as I said already, extremely careful and quick. The ladies in the office are friendly and courteous and very helpful. When we were paying we wanted to use a gift card we had received as part of the payment but it wouldn't go through. I believe the woman's name was Jeannette, went on line to find there had been an activation charge against the card, rather than just saying she couldn't take that card. I can't say enough good things about this company and the people that work there. I have to point out that this was our fourth move and none have been this. Easy and painless.
