Decent food truck BBQ. Have to be honest, I'm quite a biased BBQ snob. Learned smoking in Texas and have had probably 30 of the top 50 ranked BBQ of Texas Monthly. Their BBQ is great. Fat beautifully rendered, great mouthfeel. My preference is for a stronger flavor profile with the rub and smoke. I suspect a mild fruit wood was used. Certainly not the Pecan and Oak I prefer. The Brisket was nice. The pulled pork...needed more of the bark flavor. A little on the bland side and reminds me of North Carolina style. I hate BBQ sauce. I prefer to let the seasoning and meat do the talking. With that said...I really enjoyed their sauce. Really balanced. Not overly sweet or acidic. It's a great adjunct. Overall...outside of Texas, in the Northeast...this is likely the best example of Smoked BBQ you can get. read more

Surprise! One of the best places to get great BBQ in town across from Bibens in a food trailer. I'd rate in in the top 3 places to eat in Springfield. Prices are fair, portions are generous. I had to struggle to eat all my half rack of 6 meaty ribs. Good thing they were out of their delish baked beans. The ribs were cooked to perfect tion. Smoky, sweet, garlicky and tender, not over or under cooked. They smoke their meats on premises. The only negative I find is their days and hours are not enough. As a reviewer looking for all the magical BBQ joints in New England I was a little skeptical about this place. The concept sounded weird to me because it comes off as a BBQ food truck but at the same time it's offerings seem more like a state fair style. Like 3 or 4 of their popular menu items are BBQ stuff over a bed of french fries. Which is fine by me, sounds great, but it doesn't shout "We know about real BBQ". Also the first time I looked at the menu I didn't see Brisket or Ribs but maybe I missed it because they do have them, or at least they have them now. Tried the Ribs, they are small and not a lot of meat and smoked to that point that the bone is almost edible. And they are completely covered in sauce, I'm talking straight up Dipped in sauce. Sauce was Okay but it reminded me more of like a sweet and tangy sauce, not really a BBQ sauce. And the flavor of the meat almost reminded me of burnt rubber or plastic. Very different style of ribs, I didn't like the quality I got but I do think I may have went on a bad day. Brisket isn't listed on the menu as a regular thing, you get it over french fries. I asked for just the brisket and this is a weird thing to review. They gave me some heavy cuts of that brisket and there is no way they would serve these big slabs of meat on top of french fries so I'm sure I'm tasting something most people don't get to taste. I'm sure they chop it up a bit before going over some fries or something. Just as brisket this stuff was juicy and cooked well. Only thing is the flavor, the smoked flavor just tasted like a mild burnt ash. But the texture was spot on. Partner got a cheeseburger and it was pretty damn good. Juicy and tender and full of flavor. Bun was toasted nicely, fresh lettuce and tomato. Came with their fries and I got to see what all the fuss was about with their fries. Those things are exactly what I would expect at a good state fare with gravy and meat all over them. Awesome fries! Got a little thing of coleslaw and I swear this was nothing but dressing and some chopped cabbage floating in it. Not the worst tasting I have ever had but absolutely the worst presentation. I know it's kind of dumb of me to be criticizing the least popular item on the menu but this was an crazy how effortless this slaw was. I'm judging this place based on it's potential of an actual BBQ joint. And I don't get the sandwiches as most people do. I would say as a real BBQ joint I wouldn't recommend, BUT! As a great place with good lunch and quick comfort food options this place is great! Just stay away from all this stuff I got. 4 Stars for the Experience, 5 stars for the Food! Gentlemen were friendly, kind, personable, engaging, helpful, and customer friendly! Liked this joint a lot. It is an off-the-road Food Truck located in a spacious lot that was clean, with clean tables w/umbrellas. They have a smoker next to the truck that is in use and adds the "smoked" aroma to the experience. Bathroom facilities is a port-a-potty that according to my son is clean and, "smells like lemons!" As for the food, we had the Ribs, Baked Beans, Fries, and Cole Slaw. While Sodas were only $1 (Cool), the Ribs were pricey but to be expected, as ribs at any GOOD BBQ spot are always pricey. The Sides were fair priced with excellent portions. The Ribs were CRAZY AMAZING, smoked beautifully and falling off the bone-great tasting-incredibly tasty, and smothered in their signature homemade BBQ sauce (which they sell off the truck by the jar). They were mouth watering GREAT. Can I tell you that the BAKED BEANS were CRAZY!!! They were damn good!!! Best baked beans I've ever tasted without exaggerating. Man they were good. The fries were okay, seasoned well, fresh cut but we all agree they were a bit soft, yet still they were good. The slaw was fresh and tasted AMAZING according to my wife which brings me to the reason I only give 4 stars and not 5. I really wish they had an alternative to the Cole Slaw for those of us who do NOT like Slaw: such as, potato salad, macaroni salad. It would have been nice to have a cold side with my lunch to compliment the experience. Also, they weren't offering the stuffed jalapeños which was the primary reason I jumped 18min (One way) off the I-91 South to pay them a visit. Often I get to some places and they do not have, or are all out of, something I would enjoy most (bummer). According to the pleasant and friendly Gentleman, it is something they make but consider a "special" and did not offer them on this day! There was no way of telling through the Yelp app I suppose. My hubby and I are leaving Vermont and making our way back home to PA. I saw this on yelp and we stopped in. If you're not careful, you will pass it, so keep your eyes peeled for the truck and A frame sign on the side of the road. My husband had the brisket sandwich, and I, the half rack of ribs. I probably should have ordered just the two ribs, but it was enough to share, and it was so worth it. The ribs were so tender, fall off the bone delicious. I would definitely reccomend them. Best Valentine's Day lunch! This place is awesome! Very friendly service (this is right up there in importance for us -along with quality ) , and it's probably the best bbq we've ever had.
