Casual Mexican with a funky Reggae and Southern feel. The inside dining area is small but I see the large wood patio area for the warmer weather. You order at the cashier and the server will bring you the food. You clean up the eco-friendly packaging and serving utensils made of bamboo. Most everything, I thought, were reasonably priced, perhaps a bit on the pricer side after COVID. We ordered a pulled chicken nacho to start, and then a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich on a torpedo roll, my wife ordered a chicken burrito. The Po Boy sandwich had a sort of saucy, southern creole bay seasoning flavor, with sprinkle of cheese. An interesting interpretation. Personally, I prefer fried shrimp with spicy aioli. Nevertheless, it was good. I will come back and order it again. My wife's Mike's chicken burrito , I thought, was less spectacular. I thought the ratio of chicken to rice/beans was a little skimpy. Pork was incredibly dry, the beans were undercooked and borderline crunchy, and the bowl was filled with rice. Expensive at 19 dollars. The only redeeming quality of the bowl was the plantain which was flavorful and not overly oily. First off, owners John and Jody are genuine folks to the core who deeply care about the food that is sourced and put out in really cool ways. Delish, unique fusion of Mx and New Orleans fare. From the apps, to burritos, to po'boys, to poke bowls, to awesome chips and more- all have excellent flavors. New loc (due to massive '23 flood) has similar vibe and funky decor to previous loc. Well it's pandemic times and thankfully Mojo still has the mojo. We liked the online ordering. Super easy and contactless pickup outside too. But if you want to go in to order a drink or pay in person they've set up for safe transactions. And the food and drink? LOVED the seafood gumbo and really happy I ordered an extra one for a lunch leftover! The kids actually ate the pork po boy. They are really picky and even they raved about it! We ordered on a president's weekend in January. It was a busy ski weekend, I called ahead to see if they could modify their carnitas tacos to accommodate a dairy allergy for a takeout order. The person who answered the phone said to place the order online and put a note at checkout with the name of the dish, the allergen, and which topping to leave off the tacos. I was very specific when I wrote dairy allergy, no cheese. In theory, this should not have been a difficult modification. The rest of the toppings were safe for me. All they had to do was leave out the cheese. My tacos arrived and one of them had a noticeable blob of melted cheese on one end of a taco. It appeared that it got spilled on it from prepping another order. If you say you can accommodate an allergy, you should be prepping and boxing the food separately from other orders. Otherwise I would rather they told me that their kitchen is too busy, staff isn't trained in prevention contamination etc. I am not anaphylactic, but given their lack of care, I could not trust that the other two tacos didn't accidentally have cheese sprinkled over them as well and didn't want to risk eating them. I was disappointed because they looked decent otherwise. By that point, it was too late to call the restaurant back and we were too tired to find another place to order from (not easy in a small town when you are staying at a rental and have only brought breakfast foods and snacks for the weekend). I ended up eating food I had planned to eat for breakfast the next day instead. The rest of my family wasn't terribly impressed by their meals. I try not to give bad reviews because I like to support small businesses. But when a mistake could hospitalize someone, it's important to call it out. read more

First off there's no signage indicating that one must try to place one's own order at the register. I sat at the bar waiting 15 min for someone to acknowledge me and bring me a menu and take a drink order and nothing. I later realized one must go to the register and place one's order. As I was standing there two different woman told me 3 x that "someone will be right with you" but no one was right with me. I eventually ordered and when paying a tip prompt came up on the screen for food I hadn't received yet and service that I wasn't going to get. The front end and the kitchen seemed very disorganized and chaotic, unprofessional and my food was marginal. Mojo confuses me. The food is stellar. Staff is amazing and cares about the food. Decor is good (more on this later). And the music is out of this world. I literally plan my trips to southern Vermont around visiting this place. So why the heck is it not jammed? On a recent Saturday at 7:00pm it was me and two couples. It may be the all most comically short hours. It may be the lack of seating. I don't know. I feel like the owner and staff treat it like an art installation, not a bar/restaurant. First: this is fine. If they want to open four hours a day, six days a week, that is their business. I will plan my schedule accordingly. But I feel like longer hours and more seating would make this THE spot in Ludlow. Again, that is their business. Maybe the owner is the heir to a large fortune and this is a labor of love. 4.5 - It's really nice to have a high quality, yet casual lunch/dinner joint in Ludlow. After a long day of skiing at Okemo or hiking in the summer, Mojo always replenishes with delicious and creative Mexican dishes. Everything about Mojo comes off as entirely authentic and sincere and adds a very nice variety to the town. My favorite thing on the menu is the pork Enchurrito (see picture) and the poblano rings, but you can't really go wrong with anything. The Enchurrito is a burrito covered in cheese and sauces and, if I could, I'd eat it every night! They also have a great local draft and beer selection! As with most places in Ludlow, it can get packed on a winter weekend with wait times up to 45 minutes. I know the food is worth it, so I usually stick around or try to come before/after the dinner rush. read more

This Louisiana Cajun Mexican cafe has the most unique menu ever found in the northern states - alligator tail says it all! The mojo hand chicken wings are extremely flavorful - a must try!
