Great idea to stop! We were coming through VT to NH and needed a bite to eat. Found Auntie T's using the "add a stop" feature on maps. Wonderful choice and so glad we did. Super friendly service, great selection and good prices. Food was made to order and tasted great. We both got burgers but the selection of toppings and add ons was so good it gave us both completely different burgers to enjoy. Thank you for making our lunch and we hope to come thru again sometime.

Patty melt, fries with the secret sauce

My buddy and I were driving along the road when we saw a long path on the side of the road leading to a charming food stand. Naturally we took an immediate U-turn and pulled in. We were greeted my Tina who assured us that we will not leave hungry. We both got the patty melt with fries with Auntie T's homemade sauce which was to die for. Even though they were closing up after we got our food, they made sure the food came out great and everything was okay. The park benches by the grill was a perfect spot to enjoy our food on a pleasant summer evening. The food here was the best and the service was even better! This is gonna become my new go-to next time I drive by this area. 6/5 stars!!!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST!! The food will bring you in and that service will make you come back. Tina (the owner and chef) truly loves what she does and it shows in the food. They even use local products like their bread, they use The Bread Sheds burger buns, hotdog buns and sourdough loaves! This food truck is out of this world. They have adorable picnic tables and chairs to enjoy the food. You can even purchase these chairs if you're interested! Definitely a place that deserves to be on Drive ins, Diners and Dives!

Super fresh, fantastic topping options, their campfire sauce is delicious and goes great on burgers, fries, and onion rings.

What a great place to stop for cold treats and hot foods too!…read more Balthazar's Ice Shack is a small food shack located in the woods near the banks of the Sugar River (South Branch) along NH 31. It sort of feels like a cozy campsite in the woods. They offer 24 flavors of Blake's Ice Cream (cones, sundaes, frappes, floats), shaved ice, protein drinks, soft drinks, water. For hot foods, they offer sliders, hot dogs, quesadillas, chicken strips, chicken drums, fries, chili cheese fries, nachos, clam cakes, banana fritters, poutine, and a daily special item. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. There is ample seating and places to enjoy your cold treat and hot foods here including umbrella round table seating (near the shack) and wood chair seating down the small hill along the river bank and also chair seating in the river (river seats), great place to cool off! I stopped here recently while driving through Goshen. I ordered a Pina Colada Shaved Ice ($3), which was a very nice cold treat with a good amount of pina colada juice and surprises at the bottom of the treat, plenty of chewy colorful gummy bears! After looking at the hot foods menu, I decided to order some food to go! I ordered the Saturday Special which was a Lasagna and a piece of soft Italian bread ($6) and an order of Clam Cakes (6 for $4.50). The piece homemade lasagna was very good, similar to what I make at my home, which had layers of noodles, cheeses, ground beef, and tomato sauce. The clam cake balls were deep fried golden, which had a soft chewy texture with minced pieces of clam in the dough with tartar sauce on the side. The last time I had enjoyed clam cakes was two years ago at a fair in CT. Overall, this place not only serves great cold treats and hot foods, but also offers a unique experience of enjoying your treats very close to or in the Sugar River.

The chili is not spicy so good for all taste bud varieties! Also got the hot dog topped with mustard, onion and relish. The homemade relish is excellent I'd definitely get it again. Since this is a food truck, there is limited seating but they have a picnic table and a few plastic chairs if you choose to eat on site. Prices are very reasonable, and they also offer a variety of cans of soda and waters along with potato chips if you want a side (however after eating just the dog you likely won't have room for any sides)!

The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.
