Even if I was wrong and didn't hear correctly, I was looking for understanding, not for a further discount; much less, I wasn't looking for him to berate me over it. All these "discounts" he provided in the email were never discussed beforehand. And, of course, he drops on me that the most convenient payment method costs even more money for brand new customers. SPRINKLER HUSTLER EXPERIENCE, Just thought I would pass my experience along to the rest of you. I…read morehired this guy (Perez Lawn Care, LLC) to repair a couple of my sprinklers. He came out, told me he charged $100 per hour, which being a general contractor myself, thought that was a bit steep but I knEw I only had a couple to fix. He said he needed to come back tomorrow (today) to finish. He handed me a bill for $670 and told me a laundry list of things that he had to do to make the fix. When I went in the back yard, his guy was "exploratory digging" to find the sprinkler line. I stopped him and told him to just cap of the sprinkler that was already dug up and not to blindly hand dig through my newly landscaped yard (especially at $100 per hour). He said, "Oh ya, good idea. Then we do not have to dig all the way over to the shed." When I came outside and asked for a revised invoice he told me that the price was not any different. When I asked how it could possibly be the same when I stopped him from digging and all of the extra work. He said, "Well, I did not charge you for a diagnostic fee, a valve shut off fee," and some other BS fee that I am sure he made up. I said you cannot add fees in after the fact and for work that you did not complete. He just said that the fees were correct. I have to say, I have been a general contractor for 16 years and have NEVER had such a shady experience with any type of sub contractor or person that I have dealt with in the trades LIKE I DID WITH THIS GUY. In my opinion, as easily as it was for this guy to to screw me out of money, I am sure he is doing this to most home owners. Just my opinion but stay far far away from this scam artist. He seems to be a guy who started mowing yards and figured out a way to dig his claws into home owners who are not outside watching the work that is being done or actually needs to be done. I saw it first hand, instead of doing the work that actually needed to be done, he was trying to extend the scope of work and pad the bill. Which keep in mind, he had already billed me for before the work was even completed. I am going to go out on a limb and say that the guy who was here actually doing the work was not more than 3 hours into the entire job (and that is being VERY generous). STAY AWAY FORM THIS SHADY COMPANY!!

Mitch came in and surveyed the problem and went right to work, fixing it. Fresh soil, seeding, fertilizer and nutrients, and leveling. After watering last night, there were no more potholes and uneven spots. And bonus, they cleaned up the after themselves when they left. Not many contractors do that anymore of these days. They have damaged our landscaping by improperly cutting coniferous and deciduous trees. They have charged us for services they don't provide. They've dumped lawn clipping in individual homeowner's personal trash cans. They ignore broken sprinklers and change our watering timers without permission. We've paid a lot in water because of that. I could go on, but I think you get the basic idea. I recommend you avoid this company if you want acceptable service, never mind good or great. We had to learn the hard way.
