After attending two appointments, they tried to get me to sign a financial agreement of some kind with them. I tried reminding them my appointments were covered by the VA and should not have any cost incurred with them. They then tried to get me to sign an authorization allowing them to bill my private insurance. Again, all billing for VA referrals is handled through DVA at no cost to Veterans. They refused to provide treatment and I left. Insurance fraud greatly increases the cost of medical services, which impacts marginalized communities every day. Preying upon disabled veterans to line your pockets is just low.

He is conservative in his approach and doesn't try to push anyone into surgery, like some ortho's do, and I'm thankful for that. If you do need surgery, he will tell you, but that's never his first option. But IF surgery is necessary, the physical therapy is in the same office, so post surgery rehab, or an injury that needs PT, is all under one roof, & very convenient. I trust Dr Javi with my life. He takes meticulous notes and genuinely cares for his patients and gives the best, most efficient options, whatever your orthopedic needs may be. The PT, Carlos Brain is a hoot, but also experienced and knowledgeable. He's exactly what you need with an injury like this. He had me walking by 7 weeks post op, something that really has not come easy and was not expected by the orthopedic surgeon until closer to 12 weeks post op. I've still got a long road to go, but I'm convinced between my incredible orthopedic surgeon Dr Hargett and my PT Carlos Brain, I have beat many odds so far.
