This brewery was just alright in my opinion. It definitely has potential with a great space and friendly bartender. I liked how there were various places to sit- high tables, couches, and a bar top. All of their seating has an open view of the bar so you can visibly see all of their beer options. Like most breweries, they have a large selection of board games that patrons can help themselves too. I was surprised at how dead the place was on a Saturday night, there were only a few other people there but maybe it was just a fluke. The reason why it was just alright is mainly because I actually didn't really care for the beers. Normally, I like the majority of the beers that I try at breweries, but these seemed to be on the watery side and lacked flavor. Both my boyfriend and I only really enjoyed 1-2 beers out of the 7 they were offering. Our favorites included: Nitro Irish stout (similar to Guinness), The Hop project (slightly hop-y, but not overwhelming), and the red revolution (basic, neutral flavor.) It was a Thursday and I was looking for a different spot to check out. Enter 2 Way Brewing Company, which was recommended by coworkers. I conveniently happened upon a solid deal on Groupon, picked up a friend and headed on over. It's conveniently located within walking distance of the Beacon train station, and has plenty of parking available. When entering, we were greeted from across the room by the very sweet, pleasant and attentive bartender. She welcomed us in, we pulled up a seat at the bar and I displayed my Groupon. The bar itself was covered in drawings from patrons (Sharpies are readily available and your graffiti is encouraged), adding to the already hip atmosphere. We wound up sampling every beer on the menu (there were seven that day) and then ordered a few more for good measure - my personal favorite being the Climb High.P.A. People piled in left and right and the suds were a'flowin'. The Groupon included a growler each for the road (64oz of whichever beer you choose) - which was a nice bonus. Within a few minutes of being at 2 Way it was decided that I'd definitely be back, and I'll bring some more folks with me. read more

This is just a bar. They have no food available and there was only one bartender on staff. It honestly would've been 0 stars if I could. We weren't offered any popcorn either and we are all expected to bus our own tables. If I want to go to a bougie dive bar I'll find somewhere else to go. The bartender was nice, the beer tasted good, and it was really busy so if you want to go somewhere just to get drunk this might be the place for you. read more

Awesome little brewery. They had some solid beer, I really enjoyed their Red. Behind the bar they have mugs hanging, their repeat customers leave them there and when they come in they get to drink from their mugs, never seen that before. Their bar top is plywood, and they give customers markers to draw on the bar, when it is full they remove it, cut off the best works, and hang them on their fan art wall. read more

I don't write too many bad reviews, because I think it's better off not saying anything at all if there's nothing good to say. Also, there are enough people who do write bad reviews. I was inclined to write this review because the beer wasn't great, at least to me. I have a pretty forgiving beer tasting limit. I love Bud Light, Abita Christmas Ale, Rockaway ESB, Nite Lite to name a few big and small names. I rate beer on drinkability. Can I drink one? Can I drink three? Some are great for one and done, some are great for a night of drinking. It's entirely possible the line of beers had a bad batch in October. None of the beers I tried were very good. They each had their own flavors, but they seemed to be missing something and didn't quite align with what I was expecting for a Brown Ale, IPA, Oktoberfest or Red Ale. I'm just a guy in the internet and not a brewmaster, so that's how much my view is worth. This is a great region for beer, so it's a strong possibility I'll swing by here again to give them another shot. I like the bar area, the outdoor seating, the board games, and the food is okay for bar snacks. They seem to rotate the beers frequently, so there is definitely reason to come back. read more

My husband and I came here on a Thursday night looking for a chill location before a wedding weekend. We apparently stepped into their trivia night, so it was very loud & crowded.. but we managed to snag two seats at their bar and grabbed their Oktoberfest and Climb High IPA's. Both were enjoyable, although maybe not so memorable. We ordered both wings and a burger for a late night dinner. While the wings, both the dry rub and saucy type, were delicious, the burger tasted as if a frozen patty was quickly warmed up and slapped on some bread. Regardless, we enjoyed the scene overall and would likely come back for the atmosphere next time we are in Beacon. read more

Awesome new craft brewery that recently opened in Beacon! Stopping by is a must when visiting, especially when you're out for a day trip. By far one of my favorite breweries in the New York area. Beers are delicious and price is right on the money (especially when compared to NYC standards and other bars in Beacon). Our favorites were the Climb High P.A. (Nice and hoppy IPA) and the Confusion. Get a flight so you can try them all! The owner Mike is a cool easy-going dude and is a local - make sure to say hi and ask him about the hook game :) he also knows a thing or two about climbing. A nice mix of locals and visitors go here, so it's a good crowd. The best part - they are SUPER close to the Metro North train station (literally 3 minute walk away). So it's an ideal spot to hit up on your way into town or on your way back to NYC. And I forgot to mention - they have board games!! Heck yes heck yes. read more

Where am I? Beacon? Really? Apparently I haven't been in Beacon in awhile! As a Hudson Valley ex-pat every visit brings a new transformative surprise, no exception here. Beacon used to be unattractive and at times downright scary. Service and most importantly the product here are tops. Visited on a "festival" weekend, and fortunately caught a bit of calm, no crowds, just a few chill beer enthusiasts including visitors from Belgium curious about the 2 Way Trippel offering and happily approving. Got a couple flights,, everything was top shelf craft. The food was good as well (nachos on this visit. No I am not the world's healthiest person). Solid beers, good food, board games, ample seating, great service, even a leeetle view of the Hudson river makes this worth a visit. I don't know when small batch craft breweries will reach a saturation point but I HOPE it's not for awhile. Only concern was the cost of a new growler fill, $35 was pretty steep. Good beer and all, but the explanation that a Tripel was surcharged for "triple" ingredients just isn't brew-true. Approved!! read more

What a fun and friendly brewery! A large group of us brought a friend of mine here for his birthday because it was the perfect combination of local brews and food. The menu here isn't vast by any means, but everyone was able to find something they wanted (even the vegetarians like myself) and the prices were great. Though it was a bit chilly, we sat outside in the large front patio and enjoyed our drinks and food. I split some vegetarian nachos and a tofu burrito with my friend, and we both enjoyed the cider made by the brewery. Everything was delicious (especially the cider, which had a nice, sour kick to it) and there was plenty of room for our large group of friends. Though we didn't have time to play any games, there is a great selection here if you're in the mood to play Monopoly or Pictionary. We found this place completely by accident. We had gone to a wedding in Fishkill the night before and were looking for something to do before getting on the train back to the City. Thanks to Yelp, we found this gem. The place wasn't too crowded, but certainly populated on that early Saturday afternoon. We ordered some flights and sat down to play some board games. The beer was really good and the bartenders were super fun. By the time we left to get our train -- about a ten minute walk -- the place was filling up with people who seemed really friendly. read more

After an earlier disaster at another local brewery (read my previous review) we proceeded into Beacon. On my trips to this area I have seen 2 Way Brewing, though never before stopped. I had the IPA. It is very nice. It is well crafted, not quite as hoppy as I like but still as excellent and well balanced brew. The tap man is a good guy - friendly and knows the brew. Because of the public health emergency the seating is outside. It was not crowded and seemed to have a good group. When I go through the area again I would not hesitate to stop in. read more

Ordered a flight of seven beers. The beers were just OK. They might have been much better if they were actually cold. I would've expected cold beer out of the tap. We ordered the nachos which were pretty good. But going to a brewery I expect cold beer. Also, there really was nothing special about the beers. Just an average type of taste, nothing special. while the brewery and the beer is good and fine, the bbq is a mess. i haven't even tasted what i ordered 45 minutes ago but i decided to leave a review because i'm losing my patience. it's a shame because round up bbq on rt 9 in cold springs is on of my favorite spots but 45 minutes and counting is ridiculous for a bbq joint. it's not even that busy here and ribs and brisket should be pretty much premade with minimal preparation to get on the plate. i'm getting really hungry and pissed off. i promise i'm not an person who expects my ass to be kissed or people to wait on me hand and foot but this is just unbelievable. i'm not the only one either. whoever is in charge needs to get a manger to place asap because the one kid working here is in over his head. read more

Laid back, quality brewery within walking distance from the Beacon train station. When I went it had a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of seating. The beers were all fresh. They did a good job of representing many different styles of brewing. They used a tasteful amount of hops in their beers, not like some other sadistic hipster breweries that push the boundaries of what is palatable for human consumption. Definitely worth stopping by for a flight of beers. They have art for sale from local artists hung in the walls. The variety of art is vast, from "wtf I could paint that" to "wow that's amazing". They also have some games like an extremely slick shuffle board table. A light push of the puck sends it flying over the other side. read more

2 Way Brewing is a great place to sample handcrafted beer. Currently this is the only brewery in Beacon. Mike is doing a GREAT job as brewmaster, bartender and host. The casual and eclectic furniture is more comfortable than jarring, and the abundance of games to play makes this a great place to spend a couple hours with friends and family. Children are welcome, and served More Good sodas. Food can be ordered in as well. Also, Mike has welcomed our dog into the establishment as well. The Beacon Brown is fantastic. I like this place because you can actually have a conversation with someone without having to shout in their ear or read lips because the music is so loud. It's laid back and there are games to play. Kinda like having friends over your house for drinks and games but you're not left with a mess or stragglers who don't know when to leave so you can go to sleep. Mike, the owner, it really nice and you actually enjoy spending money there because of it. We serve his beer at our coffee shop up the street and whenever we are short on beer, MIke has always stepped up and delivered (literally). And our customers love the beer. One of a couple cool little breweries in Beacon, this one has a nice selection of beers, a comfortable space, a small food menu, and if you sit outside on the patio you get a great view of the Hudson River. Prices for a pint are very affordable, but I wish they would have more of their beers available for growler take out. Also, their growler prices are pretty steep for the area. Great nice brewery addition to the charming Beacon city. The ambience and setting is awesome. The owner is very personable and knows his craft. Great beer choices- tried all 6 of them. Flight of 4 is the way to go. The puzzles on the beer bar are a tease and warn you are very addictive , but are great fun with the good beer. read more

Currently some of my favorite beer anywhere. The Revolution Red is a perfect Irish Red that I get in a growler almost weekly. Bartenders are great. Scene is always relaxed. I've never had one of their beers I didn't like, but my favorites are the red and the Irish stout on nitro tap. read more

great spot right at the Beacon train station. Wish this place existed back when I commuted everyday from her. Open concept space with a decent sized bar, tables, and couch seating along with a few game options. In addition to about 7 (?) beers on tap it looked like they had wine & spirits, too. No food but that is coming soon, per the bartender, although they provide popcorn to munch on! I wish I got the bartenders name - he was great! So friendly, spoke to us about what we liked & provided some samplers for us to taste. The location isn't the greatest unless you are arriving/departing Beacon since its down hill from the main road but it's definietly worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

It has four delicious craft brews on tap, a variety of board games (JENGA!), comfy seating, and small bites for those looking for a little nibble. Really good Beer. Nice atmosphere. Short-staffed but the ONE bartender was awesome and handled it like a champ! The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because their food is really not good. There is NO effort put into it. We ordered nachos and the cheese was literally thrown on top and not melted at all. Another couple ordered the same and also had the exact same outcome, and no black beans as per the description. Just don't order food. Full of potential, this little brew room is just about the beer. The selection is short on the lighter options, but varied enough for an evening of tasting. No food to be had, but several picnic style tables enables bring your own chow options. The bar top welcomes you doodle with sharpie markers, adding an interesting look and some amusing reading. The staff is friendly and welcoming, leading trivia games to keep the patrons entertained. It's the extra touches that are missing: a unified feel in the decor, a complied list of eateries willing to deliver, and perhaps some music to fill the void. So we made a day of it and visited micro breweries. Two way is comfortable and laid back. We all tried the samplers. This ranges from a pale ale to a dark creamy coffee beer. You can sit at the bar or at tables. We sat at a table and choose a game from the stack of games to play. We sampled and played Jenga. We had a great time. This was my favorite place out of all the places we visited. Service was great. Will definitely visit again. read more
