You can always count on Obercreek for delicious and fresh beer. They never disappoint. If you're unsure of selection, Drew, Dan and Chris will point you in the right direction. Great team and service. The tap room is intimate and cozy. Highly recommend stopping in to stock up your refrigerator. I always do :) They typically coordinate with a local food truck and have live music.

My friend works for Alvarium in New Britain, CT and I asked him for beer recommendations in the Hudson Valley after hearing that it's a rich brewery area. After checking with his sources, he recommended I try Obercreek, which was a short drive from where we were staying. The great news about Obercreek is that they're a very small craft brewery located on a farm and their focus on small batches keeps everything fresh. The flip side is that their hours are short. I had hoped to get there on Tuesday or Wednesday of my short trip and put my feet up, but their only hours when I was in town were from 4 to 7 on Thursday, and they only sell traditional cans on Fridays. I understand that they sell out their cans pretty much right away. I say all of this just to make sure that you do your homework before heading to the brewery, but you should head there. The beer is very good. The consumer-facing parts of the business are on the far side of a working farm, and consist of a small tap room with some seating and an outside tent-covered seating area. There were some other surrounding structures. I assume that's where they make the beer. They have a few beers on tap. I tried 6 oz pours of an IPA called Celebrity, a DIPA called Passports and a Coffee Stout called French Press, which was made with -- get this -- Pappy Van Winkle coffee beans. All of these beers were very good, and the Celebrity, made with Garston Nelson hops was on par with my favorite New England IPA's, including from the most beloved breweries like Treehouse, Trillium, Etc. Given my family's plans and the limited hours, I did not get to stay as long as I would have liked. The good news is, while Obercreek does not have cans on Thursdays, they do have 32 oz can-like crowlers instead of growlers. So I was able to get a 32 oz of Celebrity to go. I have to shout the service. The person who helped me was invested in the business (perhaps an owner?) and very knowledgeable about their beer and beer in general. He was also very welcoming. He mentioned that they will be relocating to the part of the farm that is more accessible to main roads and the train stop. Sounds like this will likely increase the number of people visiting and perhaps the facilities will be larger and more elaborate as well. 5 Stars. Obercreek is a young brewery that's clearly going places. Make a note.

I was a little worried when visiting this brewery mostly because we arrived an hour before closing and I didn't know when last call was. We saw another car arrive right after we parked so we knew it shouldn't be a problem. We went inside to look at the tap list, and they didn't rush us or say anything about last call so all was good! The taplist was small, with four beers available. I didn't mind trying to figure out what to get as the AC felt so good on that really hot day lol There was a couple small tables inside (it is a very small space) but there was a guy outside singing covers that were really good. We got our two tasters and sat outside. There was a few flies coming around to bother us, but we were on a farm. I saw they do a farmers market which is really cool. It looked like they grew a lot too! The beer was good. Double Obsession was my favorite. I wanted to try another but wasn't feeling the stout or pilsner so we left after the guy stopped singing. Overall, would go back.

Obercreek Brewing Company is a craft farm brewery that opened in Wappingers Falls, New York in September 2017. It was founded by school teachers Chris Woolston, Phil Shaw and Kyle Miller. The three met through their shared love of homebrewing. Collectively they were drawn to the science behind the brewing process, they liked the vast directions that brewing could be taken to, and they wanted to bring Vermont-qualtity craft beer to the Hudson Valley. The partners set up shop on the grounds of Obercreek Farm, but it should be noted that the two are separate businesses. Obercreek Brewing makes small batches of beer using locally produced ingredients such as grains and fruit from the Hudson Valley, barrels that come from Millbrook Vineyards or Hillrock Estate Distillery, or hops that are grown right on Obercreek Farm by Dominick Vigliotti. My older son and I recently visited Obercreek Brewing for the first time. I heard about them a lot throughout the past few years; mainly from collaborations with some of my other favorite breweries such as Equilibrium or Widowmaker. The brewery is located on Obercreek Farm. There is a small tasting room area and plenty of outdoor seating (some of which is under a large tent). Obercreek does not have a kitchen but they do often have food trucks booked. My son and I ordered some food from the truck and grabbed a table outside to enjoy our lunch. I had a nice time chatting with the brewery staff; very friendly people. The brewery does not offer traditional taster flights, but they do offer short pours. I ended up sampling "Rugged Child w/ Nelson" (New Zealand Pale Ale), "Quartet #160" (Double New England IPA), "Chops" (Double New England IPA), "Night Stories w/ Pecans, Vanilla Bean & Cacao Nibs" (Imperial Stout), and "Night Stories w/ Toasted Almonds, Toasted Coconut, Cacao Nibs & Vanilla Beans" (Imperial Stout). Every single beer that I tried was out of this world! I really enjoyed the chill vibe of the location. It wasn't crowded by any means, very peaceful scenery, and they even had toys on the grounds for young children to play with. Before leaving, I purchased a bottle of their "Barrel Aged Emergence" (Saison) to take home. I had a fantastic experience at Obercreek and I'm happy to call them one of my new favorite breweries!

This brewery has a limited selection of beer, but that is okay, because what they make is good. I like the rustic vibe of this place. Lovely exterior patio and it was a bit breezey under the tent, but there are heaters throughout that you can turn on. There is parking onsite, but it can be limited, but we were able to find a spot. The parking lot is dirt and rock so be mindful if you have a fancy car. You order at the bar and no samples are provided. I get this is a small brewery, but offering samples at $1 or $2 is better than someone getting a beer for $6 and the customer does not like it. I wanted to sample the coffee stout before going all in, but nope. So I was going to go full in when they told me there might not be a pint amount available, but he could try. Really?! Okay, so I got the smallest glass they had. After all that drama, I finally got to taste the coffee stout. INCREDBILE! It literally was like driving a cold coffee and just loved it. If I would have know it was going to be that awesome, I would have risked him getting me a bigger pour. This place needs to work on their customer service to really sell their beers. The cleanliness is okay. Since it is an outdoor patio, people brought their dogs. And some dogs were not well behaved and barking like crazy. That killed the atmosphere so after quickly drinking our beers, we left. The beer is incredible. I recommend coming here for the beer.

Rural and rustic vibe. Dirt parking lot. Large tent with seating and heaters. Service: order at the bar. NO samples of any beer. Beer: Had the French Press coffee stout. Wow! Like a cold brew coffee with alcohol. Passport DIPA- very fruity and easy to drink Overall cleanliness: average Dogs were allowed, including those that barked too much

Obercreek is a great place to enjoy some of the best beer in NY. If you're a fan of DIPAs, this is the place to be. Obercreek has about 5-6 taps with at least 2-3 DIPAs available at any given time. Additionaly, there's always a lower abv option, along with different styles. My personal favorite is their coffee flavored "French Press" beer. It's a must try. Grab cans to go (usually a select 4 pack is available), or make a crowler from anything. Obercreek offers growler fills and a handful of unique bottle conditioned beers. I'm a huge fan of brewery swag, and all of their clothing is high quality. Their beanies are popular and quite durable (comprable to the classic Carhartt beanie). Indoors is small, with usually 1-2 staff members slinging pours. Depending on when you go, expect a small wait for fills. If you're filling growers, you can drop them off when you arrive, drink a beer, and pick your order up whenever. There's parking for about 15 vehicles - dirt driveway and is sometimes muddy. Outside, there's a heated tent with fire lamps and adequate seating for at least 30 - 40 people. Check their social media pages often for updates on hours, events, beer releases, and live music. Note: no hot food is available here. Obercreek is a hidden gem in Dutchess County.

In the company of good friends, at long last, for a long holiday weekend Obercreek was our first stop of merriment. Good outdoor seating and hosts good craft beer for the craft beer aficionados who can check-in with Untappd.com. Obercreek is a small brewery but carries the standard craft beer of: American Double IPA American Triple IPA Pale Ale As per NYS Liquor Authority guidance Executive Order 202.52: Alcohol purchases for on premises consumption must be accompanied by the purchase of a food item. Snacks as pretzels, chips are available. Tables and seating areas must remain 6 feet distance All customers must wear face masks any time when not seated Despite being a wine girl I occasionally like to patronize and support local breweries. I purchased one sparkling bottled water, San Pellegrino Terme, Bergamo, (Italy) $2.00 for social participation and support local businesses. Growlers are available for purchase but to be consumed off-site. No food on premises. Restroom facilities are available on the premise. Staff is accommodating, welcoming and friendly to visitors. Location is very discreet on a rural road with perhaps a dozen homes nearby and can be easily missed when driving (hence: a hidden gem).

Small brewery that makes excellent beers. Limited taps and cans, but everything is good. They use high quality ingredients. Pizza from food truck was really good too. Bummer that they closed at 7pm on a Friday night.

This brewery is off the beaten path so it took me a while to even realize it was there! It is an absolute gem! Super relaxed. Outdoor seating. They didn't have food the day we went so we didn't stay too long but are looking forward to going back.

A classic twist on beer. Pulling up into this place reminds me a lot of Kent Falls Brewing (the outside area). It has all the farmy feels. Great spot to spend your Saturday afternoon. It gets a little hot in the summer but no worries, they have AC indoors and a tented/shaded area outside. Kids and dogs are welcome! It gets very crowded and it's a bit tiny inside for all the people since Obercreek is a bit more of an intimate type of brewery. Staff is extremely nice and down to earth. It can get a little busy and hectic since people come in and out to purchase bottles, growlers and what's on tap. They do some collabs with Kent Falls Brewing and Hudson Valley Brewery. Small selection of beers, probably around four the day we went. They have a delicious blend with tart cherries (Rusticity) and their Quartet #39 brings in all the hoppiness. When you walk in they seriously have the best elegant music in the background that sets the mood. Makes you drink your beer with your pinkies out. Cozy, industrial, farmy, gentleman, oaky vibes. Great environment. No food options so bring some snacks.

Really great spot. Dog friendly. Especially nice to chill on the weekends. Tap room is so adorable - modern and rustic at the same time. Super clean restroom. Plenty of outdoor seating. Guys are really friendly and love to chat. Beer is really good... and that's from a non-beer drinker. Love a stout and their French Press is the bomb! they have several types of beer - even some new farm ales. All available with a small 4oz, 6oz and growler size. Reasonable prices. They have a guy that makes pizza on the weekends too. The pizza was amazing. Love that it's not completely overrun with people and it's a bit remote and secluded. Both the brewery and pizza guy take credit/debit cards too!!
