This is like barcade in the city just bigger! What a great find! The bartender is amazing and the drinks and "snack food" is reasonably priced! The games are all priced a quarter unless you do pinball. The inside is laid out well and it's open enough to feel comfortable with a group of people! I cannot wait to go back here! We went Sept 14th for my bday.

    My high score.

This arcade is cool, they got great games. The drinks were good, they got merch that I wish could buy, and great service of tokens. The place looks retro and stylish. I remember going there with my sister and her boyfriend. And I got an high score on some motorcycle game.

Purple gin drink and video games!

Did a Yelp event here during the Food Crawl. What a fun time! All I ordered was fries and a drink but my drink was purple and my fries were delicious! Play an arcade game while having a cocktail and food, so fun! Place is small, not anything like a Dave and Busters, it's Beacon - everything is quaint!

Happy Valley Arcade Bar has become one of my favorite places to take my family out on a weekend where we just need to enjoy ourselves. I came here a few times and recently for my birthday last weekend; it's a really nice spot if you want to just get some drinks and take your nostalgia back in time with the retro arcade games. The staff were really attentive even though sometimes when it gets packed you do need to remind them of your drink or food item to arrive to your table. Overall, I recommend this hidden gem that's in Beacon for a fun night or family time. The photobooth there is one of my favorites as I'm a sucker for pictures. The seasonal drinks are also festive and I recommend you to try at least one. :)

Nice place to stop in, have a drink and play a few games. I visited at about 1pm on a nice Sunday and it was practically empty. Lots of tables and seating. The bar had a good variety including about 8ish beers on tap. Prices were about $7-9 each...there are also mixed drinks and other cocktails available which were about $11. They also have some food items you'd expect from a place like this: tots, pizza, chicken tenders...which ranged from $7-10. Many of the arcade games were older: Donkey Kong, Centipede, Area 51, Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat and others. Most of the arcades were working. They run on quarters, which there was a machine which exchanged bills for coins toward the back. There is an outdoor space with a bunch of picnic-style benches. All staff there were friendly. Adequate parking on the street...I'd imagine you can get a spot on the main street within a block or two away, even on a busy weekend day.

Nostalgia on tap! Speaking of which, this establishment does carry quite a nice little selection of beers. This place will definitely satiate your nostalgia especially if Stranger Things has aroused that reminiscence in you. They've got the *original Mortal Kombat, Contra, Crusin' USA arcade games at 25 cents a pop in true arcade fashion along with a full bar. There is outside seating and sometimes live music. It's such a cool place with quirky decor, like for example, the Salt n' Pepa vending machine (see my pictures). It's a fun outing with friends and kids in the beautiful city of Beacon.

Happy Valley is such a fun place on Beacon's Main Street. I've actually been here a couple of times but only recently did I try the food and drink. There's not a huge variety of games but that's because of the limited size of the location. They had classics like PAC Man, the Simpson's game, and Fix-it Felix. They also had some games I had never played before that was lots of fun like Kung Fu Kickball. If you are into pinball there are three pinball machines with fun animatronics and features. I am not a drinker so I wouldn't think to get a drink but I saw they had a mocktail called the Shark Bite. I also ordered a small tater tots. There were a few other people there so they said it may take awhile. The food and drink ended up coming out in less than five minutes. The tater tots were crispy and delish. The drink was very sweet(the way I like it!) If you have quarters, bring those for the game. If not, there is a change machine for bills up to $10. There is also an atm if you don't have cash.

Happy Valley has to be one of the coolest/most unique bars I've gone to so far in the Hudson Valley area. Drinks are affordable, food is great, staff is friendly, attentive and fast paced, and the vibe is cool and trendy with neon lights and a ton of retro arcade games. I spend most of my time playing Mortal Kombat 2 and watching this couple play Pac-Man right on the same table they were eating off of. Live music is also available depending on the night. Planning on coming back with a big group of friends to do a video specifically for them.

Way more children than I expected, considering it is a bar. It was too cold to sit outside, but the patio looks so cute and I plan to return and enjoy it. Lots of games to choose from and a change machine for quarters. The bar is cute. Bartenders are cool. Seasonal drink menu was fun. I got a hot toddy and it was soul warming. I think next time I go I would go later in the day, rather than early afternoon, so it's less kids and more of a bar scene.

    Cute bar!

Cheers to Happy Valley Arcade Bar, a newish addition to Main Street, Beacon and we're here for it! Note that while I personally never was into video arcades, being that I grew up in the Stranger Things era, I can't help but feel nostalgic here. Besides, even if you don't want to sit inside the very 80s interior that is jam packed with all the favorites (hello, Ms. Pac Man!), the front patio is deep and gives off killer beer garden vibes. And they have a sparkling wine (for Yours Truly) in addition to a great selection on tap (for my guy). And no, this isn't a food-focused place, but how are you gonna leave when there are arcade-style snack bar bites at your disposal (many vegan options). It's all junk food and that's all you ever wanted when you and your friends ensconced yourselves in the arcade in the 80s/90s, no? Oh come on, you know you were trying to get your name on the damn leaderboard and weren't leaving for dinner. I feel like this will be a regular stop for us, especially when we start going out with friends again. If my bougie ass can be happy here, there clearly is something for everyone.

What a fun place! And for all ages too! My husband is a retro video game fiend and this palace definitely hit the spot. We've been to a similar bar/arcade in Bennington, VT a few years ago that has since closed so we were happy to find this gem. The games are only $0.25. Nothing like Dave and Busters where you'll pay a few dollars per game. They have a limited bar type menu for food which we didn't try but it's there if you want it. We tried a couple different drafts, which seemed to be local to the area. I also tried the mixed drink with a shot of fireball in a pint of hard cider. I really enjoyed it and it reminded me of fall. Ohhh, add a cinnamon sugar rim and bam! There's also a night courtyard out front that we enjoyed a drink on because the weather was perfect. We're already planning our next trip back!

But when I want to have an elevated experience with a nod to fine dining, this is my go-to. I always bring friends from out of town here and everyone is impressed. The bartenders make the best martinis and Manhattans you'll find, along with a seasonal cocktail menu that features something for everyone, including mocktails. When I don't want a full dining experience but the hubs and I have a babysitter, we like to sit at the bar for martinis and oysters - SO FRESH! If you don't do oysters, anything on the appetizers list is a wonderful light bite. I don't know what kind of magic the chef uses to make the salads but they are always simple, yet stunning. For dinner, the steak is hard to pass up if you eat red meat. I usually get the single serving NY strip, which is incredible. You can't go wrong. I'm excited to try the porterhouse for 2. My mollusk loving friend raved about the mussels and the fish selection is fantastic. I'm not a big dessert person, but splitting any of the desserts is a treat. Alternatively, the digestif selection doesn't disappoint. The bartenders and bar manager, Nick, are helpful in guiding your taste buds to the right choice. Bud, the owner, whose previous establishments can be read about in some respectfully placed articles around the restaurant, is always accommodating for the busiest place in town. It's nearly impossible to get a seat on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, but he will be honest and create a space at one of the little side bar areas if he can. The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The toilet paper holder in the restroom always makes me smile (IYKYK). Having been to this restaurant many times, you'll start to see familiar faces as there is now a strong regular crowd. The community and connections that I've found while at Lyonshare have enhanced my experience of living in Beacon. Oh, last thing - brunch is a can't miss, must do culinary event.

We shared the Butter and Blue salad, really well done. The fusilli Ferretto with lamb ragu was one of the best meals I've had in months. The homemade pasta was al dente and the lamb ragu was fragrant and meaty and rich. Perfect on a particularly cold evening. Liz had the sea bass and raved about it. We shared a bottle of Madonna Dell Donno Barolo wine which was probably not the best choice for the sea bass but was an outstanding match for the lamb ragu. The cocktails and dessert were also perfectly done!
